Rina sat quietly as she and the Kingsley sisters chatted about the past. They recounted everything to her and she was blown away by just how long they were in their lives without them even noticing it.

"All this time" Rina says to them, sounding a little shocked at the turn of events, "you two were there. It's just so hard to wrap my head around it" she adds, "why erase yourselves from our memories though?" she asks them, recalling what they said about the seal being what kept her and Joe from recognizing them.

"It made things less...complicated" Jade admits to her.

"That was her reasoning back then too" Sam teases her sister as she shoves her playfully at this. "Can you ever forgive us, Marina?" she asks her.

"All of this is a lot" Rina says to them, "part of me is so upset with you both for only telling me now" she admits to them, "but a greater part of me is grateful to you for everything that you did to protect us as best you could" she adds, "including keeping us together" she adds, "I know that other people aren't fortunate enough to stick with their family when they're in the system" she adds.

"I'm sorry that we couldn't do more for you and Joe" Sam says sadly.

"I get it" Rina says to them, "the rules kept your hands tied. The mere fact that you interacted with us every once in a while was risky enough" she says. "Speaking of which, why do the rules only allow you guys to formally interact with us when we are 20 in the year of our 21st birthdays?" she asks them.

"It's ridiculous" Sam says with a scoff, "after your 21st birthday you are recognized as being supernatural" she adds, "but all those 20 years before that you are recognized as human and as members of the supernatural our duties are meant to be that we don't impose in your destinies and...alter your free will" she adds.

"Is there like a governing body that punishes you guys if you don't abide by the rules?" Rina asks them.

"There's a council" Jade replies. "They are kind of the judges, juries and executioners for all the planes" she adds.

"What are they called?" Rina asks in intrigue.

"We call them...The Council" Sam says dramatically, "quite original" she says as Rina laughs at this.

"We, members of the differing planes may not be as...original as mortals" Jade says dryly, "but we try" she says.

"It's so weird to hear you refer to humans are mortals" Rina says to her.

⚜️Dig Down Deep⚜️

"You should have told us that you were leaving" Jules chastised Rina as she gave him and Mac their coffees.

She, Jade and Sam had come to Jade's Joint to work after their heart-to-heart at Sam and Jade's place.

"Would you relax, Jules?" she says with an eye roll, "I'm fine as you can see" she says as she gestured to herself.

"That's beside the point" he says, "the sheriff would kill both of us if anything ever happened to you" he says, gesturing between himself and Mac. 

"If that happened then the 3 of us could haunt him together as payback" Rina teases with a laugh.

"Marina, I'm serious" he says sternly.

"Yes, I'm well aware, Julian" she says to him, "you really need to unwind" she says to him as Mac snorts at this.

"It's what I always tell him, Rina" he says as his friend gives him the  middle finger at this.

"Tell you what, Jules. There's this really pretty girl that I had–"

"No. Absolutely not" he says immediately, realizing what she was going to say.

"You'd really like her!" she argues.

"I have a job to do" he retorts firmly, "I have no time for dating and I have little interest in it" he adds.

"Fine, fine" Rina says to him as she held her hands up at this, "but your life will pass you by while you're sitting on the sidelines, Jules, and I don't want that for you" she says as she walked off.

"She's not wrong, y'know" Mac says to him. "It might be time for you to set your sights...elsewhere" he comments as Jules scowls at him.

"If it were simple–"

"Maybe it's only hard because YOU make it that way" Mac says to him as he took a sip of his coffee and shot a  group of women making their way out of the café one of his signature winks and smiles as the women giggle at this.

Jules watches Mac flirt with an eyeroll.

⚜️Dig Down Deep⚜️

"Hello gents" a woman greets Mac and Jules as she leaned against the window of the SUV that they sat in with a flirty smile. They parked the SUV across the street from Jade's Joint.

Jade made them park there after pointing out that they intimidated the customers when they parked directly in front of the café since they were in a black SUV with tinted windows.

"Ma'am, no offense but we–"

Jules doesn't get to finish his sentence before the women blows some powder from her pocket in their faces, easily knocking out both the werewolf and shapeshifter.

"Now that you've done that maybe you'd like to get to why we're really here" a voice comments in the woman's ear.

"Why you're no fun at all, Minnie" the unnamed woman says with a little pout as she crossed the street.

⚜️Dig Down Deep⚜️

Sam was in the back and Jade was in her office as they got ready to call it a day. Rina hears the chime that signaled that someone had opened the door.

"Sorry, we're–"

Rina doesn't get to finish her sentence because she sees a woman dressed in all black leaning against the doorway with a smirk. She hadn't yet crossed the threshold that led into the café and Rina found it odd of her to only open the door but not enter.

"Well, well" she says with a smug smirk, "they've spelled the place to keep out intruders then have they? Tell me, is it because of you, Your Majesty?" she asks with a mocking coo as she tilted her head at this as her hand burned against a yellow barrier that Rina hadn't ever seen before until now.

"Who the hell are you?" Rina demands with a frown, sensing that something is off about the woman.

"Rina, have you–" Sam speaks up, making her way back into the café only to snap her mouth shut when she sees the woman.

"Hello Samaat" the woman greets her with a cocky half-smile, a bit of a French sounding accent to her words.

"You have a lot of nerve to show your face here" Sam says in a venomous tone of voice at this as her hands started to glow silver.

"Now, now" the unnamed woman says as she clicks her tongue at this, "is that any way to greet your mother?" she asks as Rina gasps at this.

So this is Liyana, Jade and Sam's mom. The same woman who betrayed Rina's grandmother in favour of helping Sumelion.

"Your spells still need some work" Liyana says to her daughter as she pushed up against the barrier as it glowed brighter as Jade rushed downstairs.

"Mom?" she said in shock when she saw Liyana as she tried to enter by force as the barrier burned her a bit.

"Rina, run!" Sam shouted as she threw one of many spells at her mother as Rina ran off as Sam's own eyes started to glow as Liyana laughed off their attempts at keeping her back as she pushed against the barrier.

"Girls, come on! I taught you better than this!" Liyana says to her daughters as she passed through the barrier and flicked her wrist easily, causing them to crash into the tables as they cried out at this.

Sam mutters a spell, pressing her hand against the ground and when Liyana tries to move the floor moves like she's stuck in quicksand. Almost as if it's trying to pull her beneath its depths as she starts to sink into the ground.

"Original" Liyana praises, "but still weak" she added as she muttered her own spell as the ground froze as she moved to climb out of the illusion and hole that had formed on the ground.

"How about this one?" Jade asks before her eyes glow silver as she lifted her hands and pushed her mother back with a gust of wind as a mirror materialized from behind her, ultimately knocking her into the mirror as it rippled at this as the two sisters rose from off the ground when Sam's illusion faded and the floor returned to normal.

"Ahh, a distraction" Liyana says, sounding impressed by this from inside the mirror that Jade had knocked her into. "The mirror plane, how intelligent" she says.

"Jade!" Kim shouted as she burst into the café, having sensed that Jade was injured via their bond.

"Kim, wait–"

Jade doesn't get to finish her sentence before Liyana pulls Kim into the mirror with her with a small spell, causing Kim to scream at this, completely taken aback at the spontaneous action. "No!" Jade cried out in panic.

"Let us out, Jadenna" Liyana says as she forced Kim onto her knees with her magic whilst wearing a cruel smirk on her face.

"Jade–" Sam tries to reason with her sister but Jade has already muttered the magic words that release her mother and Kim from the mirror world as they materialized back into their realm, with Kim on her knees before Liyana whilst she wore a cruel smirk on her face.

"Foolish girl" Liyana says with a click of the tongue

"Mom please" Jade begs her, "please don't kill her. She's innocent in all of this" she added desperately.

"What did I always teach you, Jadenna?" Liyana asks her with her tilted head, "never show your weaknesses" she added before using her magic to rip Kim's heart out of her chest.

"NO!" Jade cried out.

"Fotiso manama!" Sam shouted as she blasted all of them into the mirror realm just as Jade released a powerful wave of her magic at the sight of Kim's dead body when she fell onto the ground with a thud.

"At least you're smarter, Samaat" Liyana says to her, referring to how Sam had cast them ALL into the mirror realm, "but who will protect the Phoenix Queen if you two are in here with me?" she asks them with a cruel smirk, dropping Kim's heart onto the ground with an indifferent splat.

Kim's body combusts into a pile of blood and goo almost immediately.

Jade had fallen onto her knees with a gut-wrenching sob as Sam glared at her mother from where she stood beside her sister. She couldn't even comfort Jade because they had to deal with Liyana first.

"After I kill you–"

"You would kill your own mother?" Liyana says in a faux sad tone at this.

"You may have birthed me, Liyana, but you are no mother of mine!" Sam shouted as she threw her mother back with a spell as Liyana laughed maniacally at this when lands with a skid.

Sam gives her no time to recover before materializing before her in a flicker as she muttered another spell as their fight started.

Jade, on the other hand, had crawled over to Kim's remains and was trying to put them together but it was too late.

"No, Kim, please" she begged pitifully, "you can't be gone. You can't be gone" she repeated desperately as she tried to think of a spell to bring her back but nothing came to mind as she sobbed brokenheartedly at this, completely ignoring the fact that she was kneeling in a pile of bloody guts. "NO!" she sobbed in anguish as she released another wave of magic at this, which temporarily blows Sam and Liyana back but they regained their footing almost immediately as their battle resumed.

"How could you do this to Azareeka?! To Jadenna, your own daughter?!" Sam shouted angrily at her mother, "Queen Langa loved you like her own daughter and Queen Atala like her own sister!" she added in outrage.

"Well that was their mistake. They were far too trusting. Too gullible" Liyana shrugs indifferently as Sam felt her anger bubble over at her mother's indifference.

"Grandmother died of a broken heart because of your betrayal!" Sam added.

"She was always so...weak" Liyana says with a scoff, "she could have been queen in Azareeka alongside Sumelion had she wanted but she chose ATALA and LANGA over us!" Liyana rages. "You want to know what my biggest regret is? It's that I didn't kill Langa myself" she adds as Sam released a ferocious war cry at this when she and Liyana charged at one another.

The force of their spells causes them both to crash into one another and then it makes them both land hundreds of feet away from one another as Jade continues to sob softly over Kim's remains.

She had put a protective barrier around them before the two had even started fighting so while the land around them was now upturned the area around her remained the same as it had been.

"H-Help" Jade hears Rina croak out, "Sam, Jade, Godric, anyone!" she begged them.

This snaps Jade out of her dazed state as she slowly rose from off the ground, grabbing Kim's wedding ring from off the ground.

Kim had told her that it was given to her by her husband back when she had been human and that even though she hadn't loved him she still wore it as a way of reminding herself of the woman that she used to be before she was turned.

Sometimes Jade would playfully take it off her finger and then place it back on again, citing that they were now married – much to Kim's amusement.

"I will always love you" she whispers with a quiver as she slipped the bloody ring onto the chain that she wore around her beck before joining the fight against her mother.

⚜️Dig Down Deep⚜️

Godric shot up in the blink of an eye when he felt distress coming from Rina's side of their bond. He moved to take off but is stopped by the sight of his brother standing over the dead bodies of all of his werewolf guards.

"Hello, little brother" Remus greets Godric with a cruel smirk plastered across his face, lifting his head from staring at the dead bodies of the werewolves at his feet as Godric stared back at the older vampire with no expression on his face. "Have you missed me?" he asks him in a mocking tone.

Remus didn't look all that different to when they last saw one another though he had cut his once long black hair.

"Remus" Godric replies, "I should have known that you had something to do with this" he adds as his older vampire brother laughs cruelly at this.

"Well you know me" he replies, "I love a little chaos and discord" he adds as Godric felt more of Marina's panic and fear through their bond. He moves to flash off only for Remus to cut in before him, punching him a few feet back. "Don't be rude, brother, we were still talking" he added as Godric growls angrily at this as he fangs descended with a loud click at this. "There he is" Remus smirks as his own fangs descended at this, "the boy Death" he added happily before he and Godric flew at one another in the blink of an eye.

⚜️Dig Down Deep⚜️

Godric groans as he crash lands into the trees of the forest surrounding his nest as Remus flashed over to him.

"Still weak, still pathetic" Remus spits out with a scoff

Godric throws a punch at this, which Remus easily blocks as he threw some of his own as they fought at a rapid pace, appearing as nothing but blurs to the naked human eye.

Remus delivers a brutal kick to his brother's side that has him crash-landing into the trees as all of the ribs in the left side of his body shatter from the force of Remus' kick.

Had he been human Godric would have died the moment he fell to the ground but luckily for him he was not human.

"Come on, Godric! Give me more of a challenge!" he shouted angrily as he flew over to his little brother as Godric coughed out blood at this as his bones started to heal almost immediately. "Show me the vampire that killed the GREAT Appius Livus Ocella!" he said as he grabbed Godric by the scruff of the neck.

Godric sinks his hand into his brother's chest less than a second later, causing Remus to laugh maniacally at this, coughing blood onto his brother's face as he did.

He pushes Godric back before he could rip his heart out of his chest as Godric landed with skid at this, recovering instantaneously at this.

"Now we're getting somewhere!" Remus cackled maniacally, wiping the blood from his mouth with the back of his hand and licking it with a grin as he met Godric's furious gaze. "Eager to get to your lover, brother?" Remus taunts him

"What have you done to her?!" Godric asked furiously.

"Nothing...yet" Remus added amusedly, "but after I'm through with killing you I'm going savour every last minute of burning myself into her" he added as Godric punched him across the face angrily at this, causing Remus to crash land a hundred feet away, "she'll be begging me not to stop!" he added as Godric flew at him in outrage at the thought of Remus forcing himself onto Rina.

Remus anticipates this and breaks Godric's leg when he moved to deliver a kick to him and Godric landed a few feet back as his bones started to mend as Remus stood to his feet.

"You know that I don't mind if they scream, brother, in fact I relish it" he added smugly. "And when I'm finally done engraving myself into the deepest parts of her memory forever then perhaps I'll skin her alive" he concluded as he and Godric flew at one another with a loud, booming crash.

I just could not see anyone else playing Remus😂. He's unhinged and a psycho and Joaquin plays a role like that very well *cough* Joker *cough*

Fun fact: In the True Blood comics Godric does have an older brother named Remus so that's where I got the character from.
