"Is something wrong, Marina?" Godric questions her in concern as all eyes land on her. 

"No" Rina shakes her head at this. None of them appear convinced of this. "What happened after you shot her with the uh...light, Sookie?" she asks, taking the focus off herself for the time being.

"Well, we went to my friend Lafayette's house and have been hidin' there up until now" Sookie admits.

"Did the maenad say anything to you after you blasted her with your light?" Jade asks her.

"She just said that she liked it" Sookie admits nervously, wondering why they were suddenly interested in her new ability.

"Bingo" Jade. "You'll be our distraction" she says to Sookie.

"Absolutely not" Bill protests immediately from his spot beside Sookie on the couch.

"Please just let her explain" Rina tries to reason with him.

"Sookeh's life will not–!"

"You dare to raise your voice at Marina in my own progeny's home, young vampire?" Godric questions icily as he pinned Bill to the wall in the blink of an eye as Sookie cried out at this as tension settles in the air. "In my presence!" he adds furiously as he shoves Bill against the wall as a dent formed at this. "Your forget your place!" he adds as Eric and Pam smirk amusedly at this.

They enjoy seeing the ferocious display of Godric's mightiness and power.

"Love–" Rina calls out for him hesitantly as she rose from her seat.

"Do not intervene, Marina" Jade says to her friend, holding up a hand to stop Rina from approaching Godric right now.

"F-Forgive me, sheriff Godric" Bill says immediately as he averted his gaze toward Godric in a show of submission.

"You will seek forgiveness from the one you have disrespected" Godric says to him. "You will hear what Ms. Kingsley has to say and you will keep your mouth shut until she is finished explaining her plan" Godric says to him, "am I understood?" he asks Bill as Rina looks at her lover nervously at this.

She doesn't think that she's seen Godric this upset before and she knows that this isn't even the full display of his anger.

"Y-Yes, sir" Bill says as Godric releases him as he flashed over to Rina, who gives him a questioning look at this. Bill flashes over to Rina and falls onto his knees before her.

"Please forgive me, madame" he says with an averted head. "I meant no disrespect" he adds.

"Uh s-sure" Rina says uncomfortably and awkwardly, hoping to put an end to the tension that's now settled in the room.

"Thank you for your forgiveness, madame" he says.

He flashes over to Sookie and sits beside her as Sookie sank into the seat beside him, taking his hand into her own as she tried to calm herself down, afraid of the display of Godric's power that she'd just seen.

"As I was saying" Jade says without missing a beat as she continued with her explanation. "You will be the distraction that we use to draw this woman out" she gestures to Sookie, "Mac, I'll perform a spell on you that will turn you into Ms. Stackhouse" she informs them, "kind of like what skinwalkers can do" she adds as he scoffs a little at being compared to a skinwalker.

Skinwalkers weren't held in high regard by other shifters due to how they gain their powers: which entails a shifter having to kill another shifter from their family in order to gain the power to be a skinwalker.

"Skinwalker?" Sookie asks in confusion, having never heard of those before.

Even Rina is surprised to hear of them as she knows skinwalkers to be able to shift into another person but only from what she's read about them. 

Is this what Julian meant when he said that there were many other kids of supernaturals in existence?

It seems Godric was right when he said that Jade and Samaat liked to share things that they feel are relevant only when they wish to do so.

"Long story. Not enough time" Jade says dismissively, "when you've shifted into Ms. Stackhouse then you'll be here" she says to Mac as she gestured to the spot on the map, "while the real Sookie will be here" she says as she gestured to the area on the map. "The purpose will be to confuse this woman" she adds, "she won't know which Sookie is which when she chases them" she adds, "and while that's happening Samaat and I will be performing the spell to confine her" she adds as Rina nods at this, starting to get an understanding of what Jade expected them to do.

"Won't she be able to tell which Sookie is fake if Bill's not with her?" Eric questions her.

"No, because both Sookies will have Bills with them" Jade retorts, "you're going to be Bill" she says to Sam Merlotte as he merely nodded at this, accepting what she says without argument.

"You are certain that she won't see through this ruse, Ms. Kingsley?" Godric asks Jade.

"I don't think so, sheriff" Jade replies, "but even if she does we'll need 20-25 minutes tops to perform the confinement spell" she adds. "which means that we need to keep her confused for as long as then" she adds, "distracting her will be your job" she points to Bill, Sookie, Sam Merlotte and Mac, "so whatever you do, don't fuck it up" she adds.

Samaat makes her way back into the living room with the children, who were more cheerful now that they had something to eat.

They ran over to Sam and he takes Lisa into his lap as Toby 'coolly' made his way toward them, walking with his hands stuffed in his pant pockets at this as Rina smiles amusedly at his 'cool guy' behaviour.

"Yeah, I'm not good with kids" Samaat says with a shrug in explanation when Rina's amused eyes land on her.

"That's fine because we're basically done here anyway" she says to Samaat.

"Do you have fangs?" Lisa asks Godric, who appears taken aback by the little girl's addressal.

"Lisa!" Sookie says chastisingly and in embarrassment, still a little wary of the older vampire since he pinned Bill to the wall.

"I do, little one" Godric replies with a nod.

"Can we see them?" Lisa asks him.

"Are you not frightened?" Godric asks her curiously.

"I am" The little girl admits shamelessly, "but I still want to see" she adds fearlessly as Rina snorts at this.

Lisa sums up human behaviour so easily and perfectly. They fear what they do not know or understand and yet a part of them is still intrigued and wishes to know more.

"Our almost step-daddy hated vampires" Toby reveals to all of them. "But we don't" he adds.

"Alright, alright" Sam Merlotte stops them from revealing too much information to these people that they don't know yet.

Rina and Godric share a look at this and Godric turns back to face the children as his fangs descend with a click as the kids lean forward in wonder at this.

"Wow!" Toby says, appearing genuinely awed by this, meanwhile Pam and Eric appear surprised that Godric seems to have indulged the childish request of the children. "That's so cool!" he adds.

"It is" Rina nods. "But remember that not all vampires are nice just like a not all humans are nice, right?" she says to them as they nod at this.

"Just like our step-daddy, René" Lisa says, "people said he was mean" she adds.

"And he killed his sister" Toby adds as Jade mumbles a "what the fuck" under her breath at this as they looked at the kids in shock as Sookie stiffened at Toby's words. "And now he's on a vacation with Jesus" he adds.

"Well that's certainly one way of putting it" Samaat whispers, aware of the ears that can hear her comment as Pam snorts amusedly at this.

"He's a nice vampire though, right?" Lisa asks Rina as she pointed to Godric, having missed Samaat's comment.

"The nicest" Rina says, looking between Godric and the kids at this as Lisa beams at this, showing her missing tooth at this.

"If you'll permit us, we'll be taking our leave now, sheriff Godric and madame Marina" Bill speaks up, still looking a little wary in the presence of the other vampire after Godric put him in his place.

"You may go" Godric says as Bill and Sookie rose from their seats as Sam Merlotte also rose from his own seat at this, taking Lisa and Toby's hands into his own.

"Thank you" Sam Merlotte says with a light bow, following Sookie and Bill's lead. Godric nods at this though he makes no move to respond as they left as the housekeeper showed them out of the house.

The kids wave bye to them as Rina waves back.

"Fucking finally" Pam drawls out, as if relieved that they've left, "ugh, I hate teacup humans" she repeats once again.

"Why?" Rina asks amusedly.

"They're whiny, annoying, stupid and loud" Pam says with a shiver at the thought of even being near children again. "Now I'm going to be smelling them for weeks" she adds with an annoyed scoff.

"I like to think of them as clean slates" Rina says, "they don't hate or judge unless they are taught to" she adds as Pam's scowl deepens at this, hating the truth of Rina's words.

"Well that's true" Samaat agrees. "So...shall we address the elephant in the room now or–?" she trails off, referring to her reaction at meeting Sookie Stackhouse.

"You know what Sookie Stackhouse is" Eric says simply, having noted everything just as very one else in the room did.

"Yip" Samaat says as she pops the p, "and believe me when I tell you that trouble will follow her wherever she goes" she adds.

"Well don't keep us in suspense, witch" Pam says, "what is she?" she asks curiously.

"A faerie" Rina speaks up amusedly before Samaat can. Mac and Julian both chuckle at this, recalling what Samaat and Jade told them about faeries.

"So that's why–" Mac says with a chuckle.

"Are we missing something?" Eric asks them dryly, noting the amused looks on Rina, Mac and Jules' faces.

"It's a long story but let's just say Samaat doesn't like faeries" Rina says.

"With good reason!" Samaat says in her defense.

"Yes, yes" Rina says with an eyeroll. "A faerie once blasted Samaat with that light Sookie was talking about so Samaat is...wary of them" she adds.

"Not to mention they literally attract trouble to themselves!" Samaat adds.

"Do they really though? Or are you just biased against them?" Julian asks amusedly.

"Fairly speaking" Jade speaks up, "why is it Sookie's house of all the houses in Bon Temps that the maenad has decided to make her base of operations if not that faeries attract danger?" she points out to them as they consider her words at this.

So that's what Jade meant when she said typical when Sookie informed them that the maenad was in her house.

"A faerie?" Pam says, "how dull and fucking lame" she adds.

"She still smells heavenly though" Eric says with a grin.

"Believe me when I tell you, buddy, that you do NOT want to go down that rabbit hole" Samaat warns him.

"You are familiar with faeries, Ms. Williams?" Godric asks her.

"I imagine as familiar as a bee can be with a wasp" Sam says as Rina laughs at this.

"And which one are you again?" she remarks amusedly.

"Laugh all you want but mark my words" Samaat says to them, "that faerie will attract trouble by the shit ton" she adds as she crosses her arms over her chest at this. "Faeries aside, have you guys decided on the best course of action to take with this maenad?" she asks, having missed their meeting.

"Jade can update you" Rina says as she and Godric rose from their seat and headed out the room as Jade filled Rina in on the plan to deal with the maenad.

⚜️Dig Down Deep⚜️

"Do you know Bill from somewhere?" Rina asks Godric when they made their way into her room.

"William Compton is a spy" Godric reveals, "a spy sent by the vampire queen of this area, Queen Sophie-Anne Leclerq of Louisiana to spy on Eric" he adds.

"Ah" Rina hums in a knowing tone. "It certainly doesn't hurt to have a relationship with a local person in order to keep his cover" she adds. "Is that why you attacked him?" she asks him.

"No" Godric says, "I could care less about him or his queen" he adds dismissively, "what I took issue with however was his disrespect toward you" he adds.

"So you were fighting for my honour then, sheriff?" Rina teases him, "how sexy of you" she remarks with a playful gleam in her eyes as she wrapped her arms around his neck at this as she beams up at him. "I love that you're ready to defend me in a heartbeat, my love, but give me a bit of a heads up next time so I can try and calm your down before you do something that you might end up regretting" she adds.

"I regret nothing about what happened, Marina, aside from the fact that you had to witness me like that" he adds honestly as their gazes lock. "Vampire politics is very different from that of humans, grá mo chroí, and as such there is an order that must be maintained" he emphasizes as Rina nods at this.

"Okay" Rina nods. "As your girlfriend I'm willing to learn about vampire culture and what it requires and expects of me but that doesn't mean that I won't speak up if my beliefs don't align with what I see "she adds honestly.

"I would be lying if I said that I expected the woman who launched a lone attack against the Fellowship of The Sun and went head-to-head with Nan Flanagan to sit still and say nothing" Godric teases her as Rina giggles at this as they both laugh at his words.

"I love you" Rina says to him.

"I do not believe that my ears and my heart shall ever tire of hearing you utter those words to me" Godric says to her.

"Godric" Rina says to him.

"Yes, mo grá?"

"If I ask you for something will you do it?" she asks him.

"Whatever you ask" he adds.

"I want you to feed from me" Rina says to him as Godric draws back from her in wide eyed shock at her words.

"What?" he says, hoping he heard wrong.

"I want you to drink from me" Rina says to him.

"No" he declines immediately.

"But you just said–!"

"Ask anything of me and I will do it but not that, Marina" He says firmly. "You cannot ask me to do that!" he hisses out firmly as he grabs ahold of her arms to meet her eyes at this

"Why is it so bad if I give you my permission to do it?!" Rina asks him.

"No" he says firmly.

"Why not?" she asks him. "If it's feeding from a total stranger that makes you uncomfortable then you can feed from me. You know me and–"

"I won't feed from you, Marina" he interjects firmly.

"Is it because I'm not AB negative like you like?" she asks him, recalling that he drank from an AB negative woman that Eric got for him on the night of the explosion and has made mention in numerous occasions that AB negative is his preferred blood type. "I'm O positive and I know that it isn't exactly AB negative but–"

"I said no, Marina!" he says firmly.

"So you'd rather starve yourself then?!" she asks him angrily.

"I would rather feed from a thousand donors before feeding from you!" he says firmly.

The two of them have a glare-down at this before Rina inhales and exhales deeply, closing her eyes as she did as she sought to calm herself down when she felt her hands starting to grow warm.

When she opened her eyes Godric was no longer in the room with her and Rina's eyes glow a little as she tried to calm herself.

⚜️Dig Down Deep⚜️

"So you two got into a screaming match and he...took off?" Jade asks Rina as the trio sat on Rina's bed as they watched television together. Sam was lying at the foot of the bed while Rina and Jade sat at the head.

"Yeah" Rina admits, "was I being too pushy?" she asks them, "maybe I should apologize to him" she adds, feeling solemn and sorrowful for pushing Godric.

"Well yeah" Samaat agrees, "but maybe you also need to remind yourself that you two being together is already difficult enough as it is with your being a phoenix and his being a vampire" she adds.

"Are you reaching your point, Samaat?" Jade asks her sister dryly when Rina sighed sadly at this.

"–However" Sam interjects loudly, ignoring her sister's interjection, "if he isn't...ready for the intensity that comes with your relationship then he should speak to you about it and ask you to slow it down" she adds.

"Sam's right" Jade says, "but you have to remind yourself that it's not because he's shunning you, Rina" she adds, "Godric has to be careful with you just like you have to be with him" she adds.

"Not to mention we have no idea what floodgates his drinking your blood will have on either of you" Sam says, "both of you could lose control of yourselves and end up engaging in some...crazy ass sex" she says as she emphasizes the word crazy as Rina blushes at this.

"Do you guys think that the reason he doesn't want to sleep with me has to do with the bond that will form between us if we do?" she asks them, referring to the bond that Sam and Jade told them about when she first unlocked her phoenix.

"Don't be ridiculous" Jade says with a scoff, "why would he be hesitant of forming a bond with you when we've already seen just how much he loves you and is willing to do for you?" she adds.

"From what I know the only people he's bonded with are those in his line" Rina says, "and he's had years with them" she adds, "to know them" she adds.

"So?" Jade asks.

"I don't know, guys. Maybe I'm trying to push him too quickly, too soon" Rina adds in deep thought.

"Oh please" Sam says with an eyeroll, "you two are going at a steady pace" she adds, "you two could have easily been fucking on the first day that you two confessed your feelings for one another" she adds, "and even then I wouldn't be judging you because he's your bonded mate!" she reminds Rina, "if anyone he should be the one you fuck" she adds crudely. 

Rina doesn't even have it in her to chastise Sam for her crudeness. 

"Look Rina, the honest to goodness truth is this" Jade says, "no matter what we tell you you won't know the truth unless you talk to Godric about your argument" she adds in emphasis as Rina nods at this.

"Thanks guys" she says to them as they nod at this.
