'Once upon a time, a group of young girls were alone....'
"Please, could someone please help..?" one whimpers out. In her hands, her tiny, 6-year-old hands, she holds the tattered remains of what looks like a wolf. Her eyes are puffy, scratches marr the visible skin of her legs, arms, and face. Her companions look about the same, but are too exhausted to even mutter a plea themselves.
No one stops, no one hears, no one sees the little flame inside them flicker.
And then, someone does.
"Hello? Are you alright, little ones?" A voice, older and kind, responds to the lonely girls' plea.
'For a time, the girls and their caretaker lived happily. They ate together, played together, and learned new things. The little girls' favorite thing was the basketball they got for one 8th birthday. But, time passed, and their caretaker eventually realised that the little girls' had a natural talent, a gift if you will.'
"Sweeties, could you come here please? There are some people I'd like you to meet," her guardian calls up the stairs.
"Coming!" Some yell back, then all bound down, ending up on the landing. "What's up?"
"These people have seen you play against the other kids and schools, and they are offering us an opportunity." The people in general were just a lovely lady and a stern-looking man. They both wore pressed suits, and had official badges on their lapels.
'They took the little "pack" with them to a summer training camp. It was really just basketball conditioning, which the girls excelled at. It wasn't long before they were such a force that even their own school respected their prowess. In America, at least. And that leads us to now.'

"Are we really going to Japan? We barely know the language, and the rules for basketball there could be so much different," Emma speaks up, looking at the others. Kylee shrugs her shoulders, shaking her head. Sasha doesn't even hear her, and Marian bashes her fist into her hand.
"So what? We'd probably beat those dweebs!" she exclaims, before getting smacked by Amy.
Perry was chatting with Karol in the corner, looking at their mangas.
Cass just groans, doubling over in her seat. "If we....don't get off this plane soon....ugh...I think I'm gonna be sick..." All of the girls lean away from her, disgusted looks on their faces. Thankfully for them, the flight attendant announces their imminent arrival in Tokyo.

Emma
The scenery was breath-taking, so many new sights and smells and sounds! People were giving us odd looks, but that was probably because we were just standing outside an anime shop and gawking.
But for the very reason we came here is the reason we trotted through the streets until we reached the outskirts, barely a sweat on us, even with 30 pounds each on our backs.
"Ready to stir up some trouble with pretentious boys?" I asked my Pack, and got several wolfish smirks in answer. "Then let's hunt, girls."
