This time, when the final quarter ended, the Pack had won. 100-98 was the final score, and was definitely hard earned.

After Marian subbed in for Cass, the musical beat had a bit more imagination. Sometimes the minor keys gave the girls the chills, as pointed out by Akashi after the third time all of them randomly shivered, though not knowing the reason why.

For the last few seconds, they were tied. That was until Sasha stole the ball, and Marian dunked it. When they all lined up, Tōō seemed dazed.

"Thank you for the game!" The girls shouted, standing for the customary exchange, before dashing out and grabbing oddly sized bags on the way to the door. They were outside in a flash, not bothering to change out of their game uniforms.

Kagami, who had stayed at the girls' side, went with them. He shook his head at how energetic they seemed even after playing upwards for an hour. Even Kuroko was surprised at the energy surrounding them.

"Kagami-kun."

"Yeah?"

"Where are they going?"

"Concert. Local park. They usually play in a band of sixty or more, but with air-fare as is, they've only got half that. They're pretty proficient players too."

"Can we go?"

"Idiot. We were going to go anyways. They'll need help setting up the marimba."

"Marimba...?"

"Oi, Perry! Do you have the tambourines?" Marian shouted as she set up her trumpet.

"Nuh-uh! Jace and Thomas have them!" Perry shouted back.

Kagami stood, watching them shout at each other from three feet away. Emma stood at his side, shaking her head in disappointment. I was laughing over in the corner, helping the percussion move the three timpani drums to the right spot.

Kuroko was putting the bells together near the marimba and base drum. He kept freaking out the percussion and baritone players, because whenever they looked back to the bells, they would be moving.

"Oi! Where's Felicity?" Kylee shouted, placing the music stands together, one every two seats.

"I think she's getting a drink! She should be back soon!" Jace, our snare and base drum player, yells back.

"Felicity is always getting a drink.... Anyways, how's it looking for the audience?" Emma questions, organizing the music and leftover pamphlets.

"I'd say we got a good hundred or more. Though, some of the first row have odd hair colors..." Jacob, Barry Sax, murmurs from by the curtains.

Thomas snorted, "It's Japan, what do you expect?"

"Hey, that's rude. I mean, the Pack shares the same eyes, and they aren't even related!" Jace calls.

"Dumbass. Just because we all have blue eyes does not mean we are similar!" I yell at him.

"Do shut your mouths, you're both lowering the IQ of everyone here," Emma deadpans. I sheepishly rub my head, throwing an awkward apology out.

"Oi, Kuroko! We got to get going if we want good seats!" Kagami shouts, heading to the stairs off the stage.

"That's not needed, Taiga. I've specially reserved seats for you and Kuroko in the front row. Best seats in the concert," Kylee calls out as she sets up her clarinet.

I walk over and hand them the tickets, holding my drum sticks in the other hand. "Don't worry, the seats are reserved in a closed off section. You two and the others who reserved should be the only ones there."

"Thanks, Amy."

"Thank you very much, Silentis-san."

"Oh please, Kuroko, call us all by our first names! It'll get confusing otherwise...." I trail off.

He blinks at me, blue eyes curious. I stare back, There's something to him that's unsettling.... What secrets do you hold, Kuroko?

Our staring contest is cut short when Felicity, french horn, grabs the back of my collar and drags me to my spot. She scolds me quietly, before bouncing off to her own seat. Our usual sixty strong players is down to thirty. But hey, better than just eight. Mr. Pippinridge, our conductor, steps up to the podium, prompting us to get our music ready. The curtain goes up in five.

Still, I glance to where Emma and Kylee sit, we've a lot to learn... About everyone.

"Oi, Akashi. Why are we heading to the park? I thought we would try to talk to the girls," Aomine called, but the red-haired captain ignored him, eyes sharp towards the large congregation near the playhouse in the middle of the park.

"Now that I think of it, why did the girls rush off so suddenly? Their previous games had them staying until well beyond nightfall..." Midorima mused, pushing up his glasses.

"Yeah! And Kyleecchi said that she'd take me to one of her 'concerts'!" Kise exclaimed, not knowing the last word of the sentence, just knowing Kyleecchi said it a lot.

"Concert, indeed. Apparently, these girls are both athletes and musicians. Definitely proficient in both, if this pamphlet is correct," Akashi murmured, glancing down at said pamphlet. Murasakibara leaned over his shoulder, a bag of chips in his hand.

"But why do we have to see them?" Aomine asked, genuinely interested now.

"I have a theory, but we would need to be there to test it. Oh, and have any of you seen Kuroko?" Akashi asks, but they all shake their heads.

"I think he and Kagami bolted after the girls. Dunno how long ago that was," Murasakibara grumbled out, tilting his bag of chips upside down, where only crumbs fell.

"Ah, well, that was to be expected. Those two are practically attached at the hip, and Kagami admitted to being childhood friends with the girls," Midorima comments, weaving though the crowd to the front row, where they grab seats just opposite of the roped in section. "But why are we only learning of their musical prowess now? You'd think, that if they are really good enough to come to Japan for both basketball and band, that it would be all over the tabloids..."

"Another mystery. It seems like the Pack has more than one," Akashi remarks, before they all fall silent when the curtain goes up. They don't notice Kagami and Kuroko in the roped section, too entranced by the opening notes.
