Three days until the 1st Trial

"Kakashi!" Harry yelled as he caught up to the Shinobi who was just about to enter the Great Hall.

"Hmm?"

"I need my Dad's old cloak that you confiscated at the beginning of the school year." Harry said while trying to catch his breath.

"Why?" Kakashi asked questioningly.

"Hagrid asked me to see him tonight about something important. He told me to use my invisibility cloak and meet him by the edge of the Forrest." Harry explained. Kakashi though about the odd request, he didn't have to worry about Hagrid being a threat to Harry. Furthermore the man was a professor, so if Harry got caught Hagrid would stick up for him.

"Fine, however I still have to accompany you. No exceptions." Kakashi finalized.

"Deal!" Harry said grabbing his arm, leading him to the Gryffindor Common Room. Kakashi internally groaned, ever since he killed that Death Eater and sent the other to Azkaban, Harry had been more cheerful around him (to Kakashi's surprise and slight annoyance). Apparently killing one of Voldemorts followers was a right of passage to receiving Harry's respect.

"Alright, we should leave after everyone returnes from dinner, that way no one gets suspicious." Harry said as they entered the dorm. Kakashi grabbed a scroll from his dresser and bit his thumb, smearing the blood onto the face of it. Harry watched intently as Kakashi performed the necessary hand seals, slamming his hand onto the scroll. Once the smoke cleared away, the Invisibility cloak lay there atop of the scroll.

"I was wondering where you had kept it. Ron and I looked everywhere." Harry said once he got over his fascination. No matter how many times he saw it, he was still intrigued by Kakashi and Minato Sensei's style of magic.

"I know, I came back one night discovering that all of my stuff had been messed with, so I sealed everything of great importance into these scrolls. I was more surprised that neither of you two set off any traps." Kakashi said while rolling up the scroll tightly.

"Yeah... well anyway, let's get going." Harry said whilst pulling the cloak over himself and Kakashi.

They made there way towards the edge of the Forrest, being sure not to bump into Mr. Filch, or worse Peeves the Poltigerist. Once they knew that they were out of viewpoint of the castle, Kakashi pulled off the cloak. The two boys traveled a small length through the Forrest before noticing Hagrids large figure.

"Hey Hagrid!" Harry greated. "What is it you wanted to see me about?" He asked.

Hagrid smiled down at Harry, taking notice of Kakashi, his face scrunching up with dislike. Ever since he met the lad, Hagrid had never really trusted him. The boys silver hair and sharp teeth had unsettled him, especially the fact that Kakashi kept his left eye hidden all the time. It's not that he had anything personal against the young man, Kakashi was a great student who participated well in his class. Even his hound Fang enjoyed the boys company. However, he could just sense something off about the boy. Also, Hagrid didn't want Kakashi to be there, he was going to be showing Harry the dangers of the first trial, and even though he knew Kakashi was there to protect Harry, he didn't want the Shinobi to have an advantage in the Triwizard Tournament.

Harry followed Hagrids harsh gaze, looking at Kakashi. Harry knew that Kakashi unsettled the half giant (hell, he unsettled Snape). But that didn't mean he deserved Hagrid's dislike.

"Hagrid, Kakashi is here on orders, he cannot leave. Besides, I trust him with knowing whatever it is you wanted to show me." Harry reasoned. Hagrid gruffed, but didn't argue.

"So be it, well than' if you woud jus' follow me under the cloak then we'll be on our way." Hagrid said walking deeper into the forrest. Harry and Kakashi got back under the protection of the cloak, not really understanding why they would need to. Until they saw another large figure in the lighting of the Forrest and knew exactly why... Madame Maxime.

"Ah, 'Agrid, is it time?"

"Bong-sewer, lamb." Hagrid said in return, holding out his hand to escort her through the thick woods. Kakashi and Harry followed quickly behind, equally disgusted by the scene in front of them.

"Yeh'll enjoy this, only don' go tellen' anyone I showed yeh, right?" He asked her sweetly.

"Of course not." She said in return, fluttering her long eyelashes in Hagrids direction, who blushed.

The four of them reached a large clearing in the center of the woods that Harry was sure had never been there before. Hagrid led Madame Maxime around a clump of trees and came to a stop. Harry and Kakashi hurried alongside them. For a moment, Harry thought he saw clusters of bonfires, but then he caught sight of why Hagrid had asked him to meet him there...

Dragons.

Kakashi was intrigued by the beasts in front of him. He had expected the Tournament to be an easy and simple task, designed for the weak and feeble minds of wizards. However, seeing the dragons had increased his interest at participating in the Triwizard Tournament. Although, the discovery had put a knot in his gut. Even with his old ANBU team present, Harry would probably never see his way into the second task. These dragons were dangerous and huge and there was one for each of them.

Harry glanced down at his watch, discovering that it was 11:30, they would have to rush back to the castle if they didn't want to be caught. He nudged Kakashi in the ribs, signaling that it was time to go. The two boys left the overly flirtatious couple to admire the dangerous creatures alone. Once the castle was in full view, Harry ripped the cloak off fuming with rage.

"Dragons! That's the first task?!" Harry yelled. "Whoever put my name into that cup is probably laughing it up!" He said almost hysterically.

"Well, there's nothing we can do to change that, so the only thing left to do is figure out a way for you to beat that dragon." Kakashi said sternly, trying to calm Potter down.

"How!? And how can you be so calm about all this, you have to face one too." Harry said angrily.

"One, it's my job to stay under control. Two, there are many ways for someone to defeat a dragon, it shouldn't be to hard. Besides, the point of the trial probably isn't to kill them. The Tournament makers probably have a different angle in mind." Kakashi explained.

"Like what!?" Harry said dragging out each word.

"I'm not sure..."

"Well that makes me feel so much better! Thank you Kakashi!" Harry said sarcastically as he marched back up to the castle.

It was late when the two of them entered the Common Room, everyone was in bed asleep. Kakashi picked up the book he was reading earlier and sat on the couch in front of the fire opening it up. Hermione had insisted that he read Hogwarts a History, so she had let him borrow her copy.

Harry had just remembered that Serious told him to meet him in the Common Room at midnight that night, so that they could talk about the Tournament. However, Serious had said to meet him alone.

"Hey Kakashi, you should probably go to sleep. It's only two days until the first trial and you have a lot going on." Harry attempted. Kakashi looked at him blankly.

"I should say the same thing to you." He said back irritably, going back to his book.

"Oh fine! Kakashi I need you to leave so that Serious can come here. He said to be in the Common Room alone at midnight and that if I wasn't alone, he would have to wait for another night!" Harry said in a harsh whisper.

"You could have just said so, instead of attempting to beat around the bush and failing." Kakashi said while getting up to leave, to Harry's relief.

Kakashi silently made his way up the stairs while Harry patiently waited for his Godfather. Minato was on guard tonight, so he would be able to get a full nights sleep.

Harry's point of view

Once Kakashi had gone up the stairs Harry heard a "ptts!" over by the fireplace. When he turned his head, he saw a second strange sight that day. Serious's head was sticking out of the fireplace, encased in the bright orange and red flames.

"Harry!" Serious greeted cheerfully, smiling at him widely.

"Serious? How... why?" Harry stuttered, not understanding how the sight in front of him was possible.

"I don't have much time Harry, so let's just get straight to it. You mentioned in your previous letters a lot of news that disturbs me greatly. You think that there is a Death Eater in the school who is your age spying on you?" Serious inquired.

Harry had forgotten to tell Serious that his previous suspicions over Kakashi were untrue.

"Kakashi's not a Death Eater, Dumbledore hired him and our new professor to watch over me this year as extra protection. In fact, he was the one who arrested and killed those two Death Eaters, Warnder and Clause." Harry explained. Serious instantly seemed to relax, making Harry regret not telling him sooner. Apparently that false piece of information had deeply unsettled the ex-con.

"I'm so glad to hear that." Serious said breathing out a sigh. "Now then, the Triwizard Tournament. Do you know of anyone who would put your name in the Goblet of Fire?"

"No."

"Hmm... well I will say this though, you need to be wary of Egor Karkaroff.  He was a Death Eater when Voldemort first rose to power, if anyone put in your name, it would be him. Be sure to tell Kakashi about him. And one last thing, I want you to promise me that you will stay near Kakashi at all times, especially throughout the Tournament." Serious said narrowing his eyes.

"I promise." Harry said resolutely. He didn't want Serious to be worried about him, he had enough to worry about as it is. Besides, that's what he planned on doing dispite Serious's request.

"Good man." He said smiling at his best friends son. "Oh, I almost forgot! Next time you are in Hogsmeade Villiage, go to the cave behind the Hogs Head. Be sure Kakashi comes, I'd quite like to meet the young man."

"Your here! Serious, I told you not to come!" Harry said harshly.

"I know, I know. But believe it or not, this is the safest location for me to stay. I've been befriending the locals as Padfoot." He said winking. "I must say goodbye now Harry, sorry we couldn't talk more." With that, Serious disappeared from the flames, leaving Harry alone to his thoughts.

LineBreakLinebreakLinebreakLinebreak...

Harry and Kakashi made their way down to the Champions Tent the next morning. The previous night after Serious had left, Hermione had spent all of her energy teaching Harry the Summoning Spell, Accio, to help him summon his Firebolt during the first trial.

The tent was large and spacious, which confused Kakashi because it didn't look so grand from the outside. When the two champions entered, the other three were already present, all dressed in their respective clothing. Victor was wearing a red and black flame resistant cloak, his strong build showing through the light and flexible material. Fleur was dressed similarly, except clad in a soft blue color that complemented her eyes well. Her silvery blonde hair was wrapped tightly in a braided bun, a few stray hairs framing her thin face. Cedric's robes were identical to Harry's red and yellow ones, except they were yellow and black, resembling the Hufflepuff house colors.

Kakashi's outfit was drastically different from the other four champions. He wore his standard ANBU uniform, his tight black sleeveless shirt molding around his fit muscular figure, his ANBU tattoo showing prominately on his right bicep. He had ditched the armor chestplate, settling for the arm guards only. His Haite-ate was firmly tied around his head, not bothering  to cover the eye seeing as how he might have to use it. Fleur and the others were looking at him wearily; Kakashi looked so dangerous, dispite his small Japanese frame and young age. Victor Krum was deffinantly surprised by Kakashi's appearance (especially his tattoo and black face mask). When he first saw the boy, his loose fitting clothes swallowed him up, making him look frail and weak. He never expected him to have toner muscles than even himself.

"I juz want to wish you all good luck." Fleur said kindly to the four boys in front of her. Smiling sweetly reaching for Victor's and Kakashi's hands, grasping them tightly. They all nodded their heads in her direction, returning the smile, causing her to beam in response.

Harry walked towards the edge of the tent, sitting on one of the cots. His hands were shaking slightly and his breath was uneven. He was nervous and sick to his stomach. He had been unable to eat anything for breakfast, afraid that he would loose it during his battle with the dragon. He did not want that kind of publicity, "Harry Potter: Boy with weak stomach!"

"Harry." He heard a female voice whisper. "Harry!" It sounded again.

He stood up and walked to the corner near the bed where the voice was comming from.

"Hermione?" He asked.

"Yes, it's me. Are you doing alright?" She asked through the tent wall.

"Not really, just as well as one might be before facing a creature that can melt your face off." He said sarcastically. Hermione ignored the spite in his voice, understanding his fear.

"I know you will do great Harry." She said reassuringly. "I can see the dragon handelers and Aurors standing guard in the stands. You will be perfectly safe, and let's not forget that Kakashi's ANBU team is also present. Besides, you perfected the Summoning spell, you probably won't even need them." She said more to herself than to Harry. He could hear the tears in her voice, knowing that she was trying hard not to let it show in her speech.

Hermione moved the heavy material of the tent, enveloping Harry in a tight hug. He could feel her shoulders quivering slightly, so he wrapped his arms around her comfortingly. Then he saw a bright white flash, that practically blinded him.

"Oh! Young love!" The voice of Rita Skeeter said loudly over the sound of the cheers outside. Harry mentally groaned, he hated the blonde reporter. The spread she had done on him was absolutely embarrasing and was full of false information about his age and feelings. The one she did on Kakashi was even worse. The two wizards quickly jumped away from each other at the sound of her high pitch voice.

She had her quick quotes quill grasped tightly in her hand as she took notes on the 'cute' scene before her.

"Stirring, absolutely precious!" She exclaimed, "You two will defiantly make the front page! This is just the sort of development that the fans want to hear!" She squealed, gaining the attention of the other champions in the room.

"You have no business here! This tent is for Champions... and friends!" Victor Krum stated, looking kindly over at Hermione, who had an arm wrapped around Harry's in a tight grasp. As if the 14 year old Gryffindor would drift away from her at any second.

"No matter. I've got what I came for." She said as the camera man proceeded to take pictures of all the Champions. Fleur still had a tight hold on Kakashi's hand, she smiled wickedly knowing she had got a shot of the two together.

"Good day Champions! Gather around." Professor Dumbledore said upon entering the tent as Rita and her camera man exited, to the relief of everyone in there. The other school Headmasters followed him into the tent, the Hokage comming to stand behind Kakashi, towering over the 14 year old. The others doing the same for their champions. "Now, you have waited and wondered.... what are you doing here Miss. Granger?" Dumbledore asked mid sentence.

"Oh, sorry. I'll go." She said moving to leave. Victor stepped aside to open the tent door for her respectfully, to her great delight.

"Champions!" Mr. Crouch greeted. "Gather in a circle around me, Miss. Delacour stand on my right. Then Mr. Krum, Mr. Hatake, then Mr. Diggory, and lastly, Mr. Potter on my left please. Quickly! We don't have that much time." He said as everyone stood in the man's desired order. Harry had to stifle a laugh at the sight of Kakashi between Victor and Cedric, the tough image he portrayed earlier was now demolished as he now looked cute and tiny next to the two 17 year old wizards.

"Miss. Delacour, if you would do the honors." Barty Crouch said as he lifted a small maroon leather bag, gesturing for her to take something out of it. She slowly reached her hand in, surprise showing on her face as she felt the heat emanating from the pouch. She quickly took out a small olive green dragon, that fit perfectly into the palm of her small delicate hand.

"The Welsh Green." Mr. Crouch identified for her. "Mr. Krum, now you."

Victor proceeded to reach his hand into the bag as well, pulling out a dark red dragon.

"The Chinese Fireball. Mr. Hatake." Barty said as he shoved the bag towards Kakashi.

Kakashi reached inside the bag, feeling three chakra's. He pushed chakra to the tips of his fingers to feel for the strongest chakra nature. When he found two relitavely strong chakras, he settled for the larger sized dragon. He had to make sure that Potter would not face the more dangerous threat. He pulled his hand out of the bag reveiling a shimmering black dragon. It had long claws and sharp teeth that protruded out of the creatures mouth, it's wings were transparent much like a bats. The dragon sitting in his palm eminated a sinister chakra, making his senses seize up.

"The Kagamiryū or in our tongue, the Mirror Dragon. Your Hokage was kind enough to gift us with it for the Tournament, ironic that you should be the one to face it." Crouch said intrigued. Kakashi glared up at his Hokage, who was standing behind him. Of course Sandaime would purposefully give Kakashi something challenging for the first trial. In fact, he might have cast a genjutsu on the dragon to not go to anyone else but him. Hiruzem sent Kakashi a proud smile, fulfilling the role as the "Headmaster" of "Konohagature". Man, did Kakashi hate polotics!  Harry sent Kakashi a worried glance, as did the others, Kakashi's dragon was larger and looked more dangerous than the other dragons.

"Mr. Digorry." Crouch comanded. Cedric pulled out a yellow dragon, relief shown clearly on his face that his didn't look anything like Kakashi's.

"The Swedish Short-Snout. Which leaves?" Mr. Crouch said dramatically giving Harry the bag. Kakashi sweatdropped as he felt the weak chakra of the dragon in Cedrics hand, knowing that Harry was going to fight the second strongest dragon in the Tournament.

"The Hungarian Horntail." He said as Harry pulled a spiky dragon out of the pouch. Kakashi saw Harry pale considerably, Dumbledore placed his hands on the boys sholdurs reassuringly.

"These represent 5 very real dragons, each have been given a golden egg to protect. They are the barrier between succeeding in this trial. Your objective is simple... collect the egg. Each egg holds a clue necessary to proceed to the second task." He explained, a smile plastered on his face. Kakashi felt uneasy at the fact that the man was thoroughly enjoying the suffering of five teenage wizards. (Well, four wizards, one Shinobi).

"Thank you Barty." Dumbledore said. "Now the order goes as follows: Cedric Diggory, Fleur Delacour, Victor Krum, Harry Potter and lastly Kakashi Hatake. Mr. Diggory, you shall proceed to the arena at the sound of the cannon...." Dumbledore tried to finish before a loud bang was heard. The cheers from the crowd increased tenfold, all chanting Cedric's name. The 17 year old swallowed thickly, bravely stepping through the threshold of the tent. The others watched him respectfully before turning away to prepare for their own battles.

Harry and Kakashi watched as the others went to fight their dragon, all returning decently intact. This helped Harry to slightly settle his nerves, however not by much.

"OUR FOURTH CONTESTANT, HARRY POTTER SHALL NOW PROCEED TO FACE HIS DRAGON!" The announcer proclaimed over the mic.

"Just remember everything that Hermione and I taught you, and you should be just fine." Kakashi said, putting his hand on Harry's sholdur.

"Good luck 'Arry!" Fleur said sweetly from her place on one of the cots. Harry smiled at her, greatful for the support.

Kakashi watched him as he left the tent wanting to use his Sharingan to view the battle. But thought better of it, he didn't want to waste any chakra before his own battle, he would have to trust the ANBU and Minato Sensei with the safety of Harry Potter. He had spent the past 4 hours trying to remember anything concerning the Kagamiryū, however, he knew nothing about it. Hokage-sama was having fun conducting another 'chunin exam', without the advice of the council by his expence.

When Kakashi heard the crowd go silent, he feared for the worst, none of the other battles had a moment of silence. It wasn't until he heard a bustle of cheers that his nerves settled down, even the other champions looked releived. Harry came in a few minutes later, covered in sut. His face was black and his clothes and broom were scorched. He wore a proud look on his face, a smile spreading from ear to ear.

"I killed it, I killed my dragon!" He exclaimed walking towards Kakashi. Kakashi was surprised to hear that he didn't need any aid in his battle, he let the surprise show on his face. Harry beamed at him, showing off the golden egg that the other champions had similarly.

"FOUR OF OUR CHAMPIONS HAVE NOW FACED THEIR DRAGONS! NOW OUR FIFTH AND FINAL CONTESTANT! KAKASHI HATAKE!" Kakashi heard over the mic.

He gave Harry one of his famous eye crinkles, resembling a smile. Harry had never before seen that expression on his face, however, it greatly resembled the smile Kakashi had when he was looking into the Mirror of Erised. Kakashi then turned around and made his way to the stadium, where he was met with all the students of the adjoining schools, ministry folk and surprisingly a small handful of people from his Villiage. In one of the private boxes, he saw the Hokage sitting with Minato Sensei, Sarutobi Azuma, Might Gai and.... Lord Danzo. Kakashi felt something bad settle in the bottom of his stomach, why was Lord Danzo here? What had the man to gain from being in the Wizarding World? Kakashi was lost in his thoughts when the Kagamiryū entered his vision.

The dragon was much larger than he had assumed, it's wingspan spreading to about 14 meters. Kakashi noticed a thick chain with chakra supressors enveloping the creatures neck, to prevent it from taking off. Kakashi opened his left eye, examining the dragons chakra points. The large beast had an impressive amount of energy, it would not be an easy thing to defeat.

Kakashi rushed up to the creature jumping up to the dragons full height, while proceeding to form a series of hand seals.

"Doton: "Doryūheki (Earth Style: Stone Wall)" Kakashi exclaimed as he returned to the ground slamming his palms onto the rough terrain. A tall stone wall protruded out of the Earth, wrapping a portion of itself around the neck of the beast, trapping it.

"Kage no Bushin Jutsu! (Multipe Shadow Clone Jutsu)"

Three more Kakashi's appeared out of nowhere, the crowd of students were trying to decifer which Kakashi was the real one, looks of awe plastered on their faces. While the Ministry personnel were trying to figure out how such magic was possible. There was no spell to their knowledge that would allow someone to copy multiple versions of themselves. It was an ingenious type of magic, especially considering the fact that no wand had been used to conjure the strange commodity.

Each of the Three Kakashi's grabbed one of the dragons limbs, locking it in place. The last Kakashi, whom the crowd assumed was the real one, once again formed hand seals at a rapid speed.

"Suiton: Daibakuryū no Jutsu. (Water Style: Furious Current Jutsu)." He said loudly as a jet of water escaped Kakashi's open palm, raging towards the black dragon. Kakashi's attack would have hit it's target, had a second jet of water not stopped the oncoming attack. The sorce of the water had come from the mouth of the dragon. Everyone in the audience was shocked, the dragons attack had perfectly mirrored Kakashi's powerful water assult.

Now understanding his opponents abilities, Kakashi quickly calculated his next move. The dragon can 'mirror' his jutsu's, but possibly not any physical attacks. He pulled out two scrolls from his pocket, repeating the same technique he had used to summon Harry's invisibility cloak. He opened the scrolls summoning an array of violent arial attacks consisting of shurikan, kunai and senbon needles. The sharp blades did not even lay a scratch on his opponent, the dragons scales protecting against any physical attack.

Ok, maybe Taijutsu, Kakashi thought to himself as he summoned more shadow clones. The dragon had managed to break the hold of the stone wall, opening it's large jaws to spew out a large amount of fire. Kakashi and his clones managed to avoid the blunt of the flame attack, proceeding to lay a calculated combination of precice kicks and puches, all enforced with large amounts of chakra. He felt some of the dragons bones crack beneath his weight, smiling with satisfaction at the sound of the resounding SNAP.

The Kagamiryū roared loudly from the obvious pain of the harsh blow. The crowd cheering for his successful hit. The dragons anger increased dramatically, it bellowed it's wings lifting it's body off the ground. Kakashi had been wondering when it would decide to change tactics, glad that he was being challenged. He caught sight of the dragon slowly disappearing, becoming completely invisible to the naked eye. The crowds screams were loud in Kakashi's sensitive ears, all frightened over the battles new development.

Mirror Dragon, indeed. The beast could copy moves much like a mirror and it can completely camouflage into its surroundings. However, luckily for Kakashi; he had the means to track down his now invisible foe. His Sharingan eye instantly catching sight of the beast, he could see the thick layer of chakra the dragon used for this particular technique. Kakashi decided to use genjutsu to prevent the Kagamiryū from copying this next move.

The crowd had no idea what was going on, the dragon was nowhere to be seen and Kakashi was standing completely still, looking around the arena with his red eye. They saw him once again form a series of hand seals, a bright cluster of lightning lay chirping in the palm of his hand.

"Chidori!" He yelled while pushing off of the ground into the air, hitting an invisible force. Blood pored out of where his hand was, the dragon once again comming into view. They watched as the majestic creature fell to the ground with a large crash. The force of the impact causing everyone to jump a few inches.

The dragon lay still... unmoving... dead. Kakashi ripped his hand out of the belly of the large beast, blood squirting out of the wound like an punctured artery. He walked over to the golden egg, picking it up. The crowd of students, staff and guests cheers erupted throughout the stadium. Kakashi could hear Gai cheering about youth in Japanese.

Not wanting to have to deal with the charismatic Jounin, he quickly made his way back to the Champions Tent, being greeted by an equally ecstatic Harry Potter.

"You finished the task in less than 10 minutes! Did you even kill your dragon?" Harry asked shocked, looking at the golden egg in the silver haired boys arms.

"Of course I killed it." Kakashi stated, attempting to whipe the blood off his hand onto his pants. The sensation of blood on his fingertips reminding him of Rin. He quickly pushed the unpleasant thought out of his head when the other Champions walked over to say similar comments.

"How on earth did you defeat it so quickly. You probably broke like a dozen records!" Cedric said in shock. Krum was nodding his in agreement, however with a look of disgust clear in his features. There goes to not making enemies, Kakashi thought to himself. He could see the look of jealousy and hatred on the boys face. The look went away for a second upon seeing a strangely green clad young man embrace Kakashi, squeezing the air out of the poor boys lungs.

"KAKASHI! The springtime of your youth never falters my rival! You defeated the Kagamiryū with great speed and accuracy. I shall train every day to be worthy to challenge you!" Gai shouted in Japanese, spinning Kakashi around in his arms. Harry felt sorry for the ANBU, but was surprised that he hadn't retaliated against the grip of the other teen... unless he was unable to break from the hold. Kakashi saw Azuma enter the tent, smirking at his obvious discomfort, a cigarette bit between his teeth.

"Guy, can you put me down now?" Kakashi asked in a board tone.

"Oh, sorry Kakashi." Gai said as he released the younger Jounin. Harry noticed bruises already appearing on his pale arms, surprised by the other males obvious strength. (Just how powerful were these Shinobi!?)

Harry didn't know what to think of the new arrivals, one was grotesquely dressed in a deep green body suit, his lean muscles prominent through the material. The other male seemed a little older than Kakashi, he was much larger in height and mass. But what caught Harry off guard was the fact that the probably 16 year old was smoking a cigarette.

"Harry, this is Might Gai and Sarutobi Azuma." Kakashi introduced, gesturing towards each male. Harry assumed that Azuma was probably the Hokage's son, given the same name and physical similarities.

"Hello." Harry said "So, how do you know Kakashi?" He asked, trying to make conversation.

"We were in the Acadamy together and have been on the same team a couple of times." Azuma answered. "Also the fact that we grew up in the same Villiage, which is a pretty tightly knit society."

Harry nodded his head, about to ask more questions when the Hokage and another man entered the tent. The stranger was probably slightly younger that Dumbledore and the Hokage, however more war torn. He had many scars covering his face, and an eye that was covered by thick white bandages. Hiruzem looked uncomfortable beside the dangerous looking man. Chills ran down Harry's spine at the arrival of the new individual, his scar stinging slightly.

"An acceptable performance Hatake, however; knowing your reputation as an ANBU, I expected you to finish much sooner." The man said, looking displeased towards Kakashi.

"Now, now Danzo, You can't blame Kakashi for that. You know as well as I do he does not wish to show off his full abilities." Hiruzem said. Danzo nodded his head, turning to leave.

"Hatake, my offer still stands. Your talents are being wasted here." Lord Danzo said before leaving the Champions Tent. Harry saw Kakashi's eyes narrow dangerously at the man, who smiled in return. Gai and Azuma also looked displeased by the man's words, mimicking Kakashi's glare. Once Danzo left, the three teens instantly relaxed, to Harry's confusion.

"Good job Kakashi, your performance was indeed a spectical. However, I must apologize. We must return back to the leaf, the Sand and Rock Villiages are retaliating against our treaty, so we must quickly leave to settle the dispute.  We shall return for the second and third trial. Gai... Azuma." Sandaime said as he and the other two boys disappeared, leaving Kakashi alone with Harry and the others.

LineBreakLinebreakLinebreakLinebreak...

Later

"Who exactly is this Lord Danzo fellow?" Harry asked Kakashi on their way back from the Hospital Wing. It was mandatory that all the Champions received proper medical treatment after each trial. Even if they had not received any obvious injuries.

"He is the commander of the ANBU Black Ops and the Foundation."

"Ok..." Harry said not satisfied with the anwer. "What exactly is ANBU?"

"ANBU stands for the Ansatsu Senjutsu Tokushu Butai, or in other words Special Assassination Tactical Squad. They are mainly tasked with assassinations or disturbances in foreign countries. The assignments that they conduct to protect the village from exceptional threats include high-risk infiltration into enemy territory, dealing with extremely strong ninja, tracking, surveillance, interrogating enemy ninja to learn information and missions requiring specially trained ninja. Due to the actions of the group, one can appear changed and corrupted of kindness. Due to the often sensitive nature of their missions and the, at times, unique abilities they possess, ANBU are expected to destroy their bodies if they are too badly injured on a mission so that they can't be captured. Those in ANBU have no name, but are instead identified with a code name. Emotions are also considered an unnecessary tool, because they can change the output of a mission from success to failure." Kakashi explained.

Harry's gut twisted at this new information, he knew that Kakashi had been in the ANBU. The thought of using people as tools disturbed him, especially the fact that they could have no emotions. What upset Harry the most was the fact that Kakashi was only 14, and was required to behave in such a matter, and if he failed or was too injured on a mission, he had to kill himself to prevent giving up information.

"If you were already in the ANBU, then why does Danzo want you then?"

"Technically, I am still in ANBU. However, that particular rank was not required for this mission, so I am just a Jounin. Which is the highest rank a Shinobi can receive besides the rank of Hokage. Anyway, Danzo wants me to join his Foundation. Which is a department in the Leaf that most are not allowed to know about. When in the foundation, you are stripped of your name and personality, making you into the perfect tool. It is a complete realm of darkness." Kakashi stated.

"But you don't belong in a place like that! What makes him think that you do?" Harry asked, anger clear in his voice.

"In my villiage, I am known by many titles. "Kakashi of the Sharingan", "The Copy Ninja", "The Friend Killer" and "Coldhearted Kakashi." Even my friends have accused me of being vague of emotions and heartless. It may be a shock to you, but Danzo knows I belong in the Foundation and he would do anything to get me there." Kakashi said sadly.

"But do you? Do you want to be apart of something like that?" Harry asked pleading.

"If I break anymore than I already have, I just might have to." Kakashi said honestly.

Harry stared in disbelief into Kakashi's eyes, his Sharingan peering deep into his, unfaultering. Harry let out a deep breath, sadness overcoming him.

"I won't let that happen." Harry stated sternly.
