Chapter twenty-two: your perfect.

" Y-your what? " I say as my voice trembles.. He looks down, tears pouring out of his brown eyes.

" I'm gay. " He says softly.. I couldn't handle this anymore..

" I'm so sorry, Vanessa. But we're over. "

I ran away... I made myself look so stupid.

I walk inside my house, slamming the front door close.. Laura and mom both jump to the loud sound.

" Vanessa, what's wrong? " Mom asks me, i wipe my tears and hug her, " You remember my boyfriend? " I ask her. Both her and Laura nod.

" Yeah, Lucas. He's a nice boy. " I hear Laura say.. I hear the word BOY, i chuckle.. " What's funny? Your crying yet laughing. "

" He's not a boy. He's gay.. " I say tearing up even more... I never knew he would turn out to be gay.. He was so attractive.

" What?! " Both Laura and mom exclaim, " He even likes Riker. " I added. They both gasp in shock.

" So, he broke up with you? " Laura asks, i nod in response, " Yup, he did. "

" Forget about him. "

It's been two hours since the incident, i locked myself here inside my room.. I hear knocking but i ignore it.

" Vanessa? " I hear a familliar voice from outside the door, that's Lucas.

" I know your mad at me, but i'm your friend, Vanessa. You should accept me for who i want to be. I know, i'm gay. But that doesn't make me not want to be your friend anymore. I still love you, Nessa. Just not the way you want me to. " I hear him say from outside. That just made me cry even more.

" I'm sorry, Vanessa. I'm so so sorry. " His voice trembles as i also hear sobs.. I feel bad.

I should accept him for who he is.

I opened the door slowly and see him kneeling down sitting on his feet, crying his eyes out. I kneel down beside him and hug him.

" I love you too, Lucas. "

" I'm so sorry. "

" Don't worry. "

It was Monday, another day for school. I don't think Laura has been feeling too well. Well, at least Ross is taking care of her. She's fainting a lot and.... One night, i found her drinking vodka in like 2:30am or something.

I pick up my bookbag and see Laura stuffing something inside hers, i walk to her and look at her in a serious way.

" What's that? " I ask her pointing to the bottle she stuffed inside, " It's nothing. " She blankly tells me and puts one strap of her backpag on her shoulder.

" Your bringing vodka to school again? What happened to you?! Your a drunk! " I yell at her.. She looks at me annoyed.

" It's nothing, Vanessa. Leave me alone. " She says and walks outside using the car. Great, now i'm gonna walk to school.

I walk inside the building to see Lucas waiting for me. I walk up to him and greet him.

" Hey. " He says back to me, i smile at him and he does the same.

" Riker's here..." I say looking at him. Lucas panics and shakes me, " What do i do? " He asks me worriedly.

" I don't know, Lucas. "

ROSS SHOR ( finally?! )

My full time job is to take care of Laura. It's currently 7:27pm and Laura is in her room, she told me to get her some chips.

I opened her door a little... But i didn't continue because of how shocked i was with what i saw.

Laura Marie Marano, wearing nothing but her bra and underwear on.

Her dark red tight bra was hugging her boobs tightly... I wanted to close the door but this scenery was so exciting.

She was holding vodka in her hands.. Drinking it like it was just water. This was a turn off to me. I don't know what happened to her, she just magically changed.

I walk inside, " Laura? " I say.. She turns around and waves. What? She doesn't mind me seeing her in her undergarments?

" Come sit. " She says patting the seat next to her, which was on the floor. I sat down there. We were at the bottom area of her bed, sitting down on the floor.

" What happened to you? Your a drunk. " I say softly, trying my best to not look at her chest. She laughs bitterly at me, " Does it look like i care? "

" I'm being drunk for a reason. " She says.. I look down, playing with my fingers, " i'm doing this because i'm not happy. "

" Nothing can make you happy? " I ask her, she nods at me, " even me? "

It took her quite long to answer, " Yeah, even you. " She says. I'm very disappointed. She takes a sip from her vodka then i snatch her bottle away.

" Hey! " She shouts at me, " Stop drinking. Do you think this is doing any better for you? " I ask her, she nods at me slowly.

" Yeah.. Cuz it makes me forget about the pain... That hurtful pain i'm feeling. " She says quietly and as tears slip down her cheek, " What's making you upset? Your overreacting. " I tell her.

" That's what you think. Because you don't know how much pain i've been trying to hold for so long. " She says softly and her voice trembles.

" Yeah, i do. Seeing you like this is enough. " I say, she shakes her head, " This is not just it, Ross. You think i'm strong? Capable of anything? Well your wrong, cuz i'm not. People like you just doesn't feel any pain. Why? Because your perfect. " She says then she puts her clothes on and leaves the room.

I walk downstairs to find Ellen, Laura's mom. But Laura, herself, wasn't there.

" Hey, Mommy Marano... Why is Laura so upset? " I ask her.. She shrugs.

" I don't know. She just turned out to be like this. I don't even know who she is anymore. I don't know where she got her vodka. Where she's buying them.. But she just is. " She says quietly.

What happend to Laura?
