They taught me to dream. 

And dream so hard. 

Seriously, these are four guys that either were born in WWII or in its very recent aftermath. 

Then one of them has a parent that's an alcoholic and never there. 

Well, you could honestly say two of them had a parent that's an alcoholic.

One of them has to chose one parent, only for that parent to be unable to take care of them and then live with their aunt and uncle. Only for the uncle to die. Then the mom. 

Oh, and then another's mom died. 

One lived in some pretty bad conditions. 

And one lived in some not so great conditions. 

Still, those four boys with not so great odds freaking made it. 

I'm sure they had some friends that had the same aspirations and didn't make it and just kinda fell in tune with what the world wanted from them, being factory workers or something like that.

But they beat the odds and became the best band that ever was and ever will be. Stack the numbers up, break them down, even with the troubles they had, couldn't even stop them but merely propelled them further. 

As a kid currently in a not so awesome spot right now, they give me hope that I'll impact the world for the better. 

I mean, they encouraged me to write like I never have before and even have me considering it a thing that I'll take with me into my adulthood as a published writer or something of the like. 

They really gave me a sense of worth that I never thought I'd get in my life and wow, also a big appreciation of music and a greater taste in it too. 

Before I sorta floated around, but now I realised that I love rock n roll as well as alternative/indie. It's just great to finally understand myself through one band that my mom just brought up to me because she thought I didn't have a grasp on music. 

Wow, I just love 'em a lot because they let me find me and believe in me. 

Wish I could thank them all for that.
