Today is a big day. It's Scott's birthday and Mitch couldn't be more excited. The Omega jumped onto his Mate's bed, trying to wake him up. It's been a more than a week since Kirstin and Jeremy got arrested and Mitch became happier quick. Of course, he is still traumatized. Whenever he doesn't give a verbal response or say 'Sir' after he gives an answer, he thought that Avi, Kevin, or Scott will get mad at him, but they never did.

"Scotty," Mitch yelled, waking up the Lead Alpha. Scott smirked, pretending to still be asleep. "Scoootttt! It's your birthday! You have to get up!"

Mitch shook him harder and he tried his best not to laugh loudly. He then went into his starfish position, smirking when Mitch began to squirm.

"Scott," Mitch laughed out loud, trying to get out from under the Alpha. "Get off of me, please."

"I don't wanna," Scott murmured, putting his arms around Mitch's neck. Mitch tried to escape, but his movements were futile. "Mittccchhhh...."

"You need to get up, Al-I mean, Sir," Mitch told him quietly. The Omega then tensed when Scott slowly ran his fingers up and down his sides. "Scott..."

Scott then moved his fingers faster and sat up, tickling Mitch entirely. The Omega let out squeals of laughter and tried to push Scott off, but the Alpha refused. This happened for about a minute more when Scott finally stopped, brushing back Mitch's hair.

"You don't need to call me that," Scott reassured him softly, kissing Mitch's forehead softly. The Omega bit his lip and nodded. "You gave me a response! That's all I needed. You're okay, Princess Ariel."

Mitch blushed at the affectionate nickname and Scott's kindness. Scott treats him so kindly and makes him feel so safe. Mitch hugged Scott tightly, sighing deeply.

"Thank you, Prince Erik."

"Happy birthday, Scott!"

"Thanks, Allie!"

"I got you something! Close your eyes!"

"Okay."

"You're peeking!"

"I'm not, honey. I promise."

"I believe you. Okay, here it is."

"Alex, that's beautiful! I love Beyoncé!"

"I know that you love that sweater too. I had to paint it for you. You should put it over your bed!"

"I will. Thank you so much, Allie."

"You're welcome, Scotty. Forever and forever, my Scarecrow?"

"Forever and forever, my Dorothy."

Scott bit his lip as he looked at the painting. Mitch tilted his head, adoring the picture.

"Who made that?" Mitch asked innocently, catching Scott's attention. Scott sighed deeply as he took Mitch's hands. "Was the person nice?"

"A million times yes," Scott answered, thinking back to Alex. He bit his lip, not wanting to cry. "His name was Alex. He was my first Mate. We always has nicknames for each other. Just like you, he always had something artistic for me.

"We called each other Dorothy and Scarecrow because of The Wizard of Oz, his favorite movie. One day, I decided that I wanted to marry him so I asked him and he said yes. I was so excited. The day then came and right before  we got married, he had to leave.

"It turns out that he was not my Mate. The Council made a mistake. They took him before I could marry him. I lost my first love and I wanted to get him back, but I knew I couldn't."

Mitch frowned as he wiped away one of Scott's tears, not wanting his Alpha to be upset. The two of them made eye contact, not wanting to look away. After a few moments, Scott closed his eyes and put his lips onto Mitch's, kissing him gently.

And Mitch kissed back.

The Pack decided to go the mall for Scott's birthday. The Lead Alpha didn't want anything big so they just went someplace simple for the day. Mitch held onto Scott's hand, still awestruck by his Mate's kiss. He then noticed a store with a teddy bear with sewing kit items on it. He then tapped Kevin's shoulder and the male Beta smiled at the Omega.

"Beta Kevin?" Mitch asked, looking at the store. Kevin nodded as the Alphas stopped walking. "What's that store called that has a teddy bear on it?"

"Oh," Kevin commented out loud, walking into the store. Unstuffed teddy bears were organized in little crates that resembled thread. "This is Build-A-Bear Workshop! Have you ever made a bear here before?"

"No."

The Alphas and Beta gasped dramatically, striking confusion in the Omega.

"What's wrong?" Mitch asked, not knowing why they were acting like this.

"You never made a bear here before," Avi replied, taking Mitch's hand and leading him to one of the crates. "Choose a bear."

Mitch looked around for a moment and finally picked a white one with a black nose. He kissed the nose gently and hugged it, despite it not having any fluff.

"Now for the fun part," Scott spoke up, kissing Mitch on his lips quickly. Avi and Kevin shared happy looks.

"MY SHIP HAS BEEN SAILED!"

"Avi, we're in a public place. Quiet down."

"Sorry."

After getting his bear done, Mitch named it and held it on the way out. He then gave it to Scott, who looked at him confused.

"Why are you giving me your bear, Mitchy?" Scott asked, taking the bear gently. The bear's soft material for some reason made the Alpha calm down. "It's yours!"

"But it's your birthday," Mitch pointed out happily, his smile bigger than ever before. "Also, do you want to know his name?"

Avi and Kevin watched the couple, smiling at their actions. They could watch them talk forever.

"Sure," Scott answered, smiling softly. Mitch is so adorable. "Let me hear it."

He was expecting a name like Fluffy, Cutesy, or even Erik, but the name he heard made his heart warm up.

"Alex because you miss him. The bear may not be him, but you will still have a little piece of him forever."

"Does Scott like cake?" Mitch asked randomly, sitting at the table. Kevin shrugged his shoulders as Scott smirked a bit. "Oh, okay. I'm going to color. Call me when dinner is ready please."

"Okay," Avi called back, smiling at Mitch's retrieving back. The Alpha then turned to the Lead Alpha. "How does he know about Alex?"

"I told him," Scott answered, looking after the door. "He asked about the Beyoncé painting so I told him about Alex. Afterwards, we kissed."

"It's good you told him," Kevin replied, standing up. He then put an arm around the Lead Alpha's shoulders. "He deserves to know. You did a great thing, Scott."

Scott smiled as he looked to the door, wondering what Mitch could be coloring right now. Whatever it will be, it will melt Scott's heart.

Just like it did when Alex gave him the Beyoncé painting.

A/N: This chapter is really bittersweet so I apologize for that, lol. I love how Mitch gave the teddy to Scott so that he could still have Alex in a way. Anyways, I hope you all enjoyed the chapter and remember that I love you all.:)
