Chapter Seventeen
A/N: Yeah...you guys are going to hate Kirstin in this chapter and in many more chapters to come.
When the car stopped, Avi angrily opened the car door and slammed it. Kevin and Scott both jumped and Mitch woke up, rubbing his eyes. He let out a yawn when he noticed that he was home.
"What happened?" Mitch asked quietly, looking up at Scott. Scott allowed him to sit up as he looked at Avi's retreating back. "Why is Avi mad?"
"Too much to explain," Scott replied quietly as he got out of the car. Kevin and Mitch followed his actions, afraid to go inside. "Mitch, stay by me, okay?"
"Okay, Alpha," Mitch responded. He then took Scott's hand and couldn't help but notice the difference between his hand and Scott's. "Why is your hand bigger than mine?"
"I don't know, honey," Scott replied, laughing a bit. He couldn't help but laugh a little when he noticed how the Mickey Mouse ears made Mitch look more cute than he already is. "I'll try to figure that out. We need to go-."
Someone began to yell at someone else, interrupting Scott's thought process. The Lead Alpha's turned red, causing him to go to the house. Mitch then held onto his hand and almost fell when Scott began to run. Kevin followed behind in a fast pace, his eyes turning yellow. When they got inside, they noticed Kirstin glaring at Avi angrily, her small hands made into fists. She brought one up and was about to punch Avi, but someone stepped in front of him quickly before she had the chance.
The Alphas and make Beta gasped when they saw Mitch breathing heavily while cradling his face. He was the one who took the punch, protecting Avi from getting hurt. Kirstin brought her fist down, her glare getting angrier.
"Mitch," she yelled at the Omega, who flinched at her angry tone. He then yelped when she grabbed his arm angrily, squeezing it tightly. I'm going to to have bruises. "Scott, punish him!"
"I don't need to," Scott yelled, wanting nothing more than to hold Mitch. The Omega's face is beginning to bruise terribly. It stared above his right eyebrow and ended below his nose. "He did nothing wrong! Also, you're not his Alpha! You don't get to have a say if he gets punished or not."
"He interrupted an argument," Kirstin pointed out angrily, refusing to let go of Mitch. When Scott shook his head, she then turned towards Avi. "Avi, you do it!"
"Not my Omega," Avi replied, shaking his head. He tried to remove the female Beta's grip from Mitch's arm, but she only gripped tighter, causing Mitch to let out a cry and whimper a bit. "Let go of him, Kirstin!"
"No," she yelled angrily, turning to Kevin. He walked up to her in hopes to get Mitch away from her, but she backed up to her room. "Punish him or I'll do it!"
"Are you serious?" Kevin asked, shaking his head. What is up with her? "We just want to know why you have all that money!"
"I know people," Kirstin hissed, dragging Mitch to her room. She then smiled at her Pack members, ignoring Mitch's cries. "No answer! Looks like I am..."
Nobody got to hear what she had to say because Avi stomped up and took Mitch out of her grip, accidentally hurting him in the process. Avi then pushed Kirstin in the room and closed it. He then put a chair in front of it, feeling accomplished.
"You're staying in there until I say something," Avi scolded, locking the door just in case. He noticed how badly Mitch is shaking so he took his hand gently. "It's okay, Mitch. She's not going to hurt or punish you."
Mitch nodded, still scared of what Kirstin is capable of. He looked down at his arm flinching a bit at the fingerprint bruises scattered around. Scott then came up to him, hugging him closely. Mitch began to cry, both from the pain inflicted on him and Kirstin treating him terribly.
"It's okay, Princess Ariel," Scott reassured, his heart breaking at every sniff, sob, and whimper that his Omega released. He kissed the top of his head. "You're not going to be hurt, I promise. It's okay."
Mitch nodded, wanting tonight to end. The punch that Kirstin gave him only made him hurt more. He let go of the hug, touching it softly and flinched, bringing his hand back down.
"Let me check that," Kevin spoke up, touching Mitch's face gently. The Beta didn't even touch the bruise when Mitch let out a little scream, pain spreading across his face. "I'm so sorry, Mitchy."
"It's okay, Beta," Mitch replied, tears running down his face. He then looked up at the Alphas, not liking how sad they looked. "Why does it hurt?"
"Bruises hurt. I'm so sorry, Mitchy," Avi responded, brushing his hand up and down the Omega's hand. He noticed how Mitch flinched at Kevin's hand touching the bruises on his arm. "I'm sorry you're in pain. I shouldn't have let you get hit."
"I'm an Omega though," Mitch pointed out, not wanting Avi to feel bad. He noticed how the Alphas and Beta share a confused look so he began to clarify. "I'm supposed to make sure that you don't get hurt. Kirstin was about to hit, so I made sure that you didn't get hurt."
"That doesn't mean you deserved to get hit," Scott told him sadly, frowning. He loved how sweet Mitch is, but his sweetness causes him to get hurt tonight by someone he trusted. "Mitch, she didn't have any right to hurt you."
"She was going to hurt me," Avi backed up, noticing how Mitch's posture seemed to deflate a bit. "Mitch, I'm sorry."
"If I could, I would kick her out," Kevin told him, causing Mitch to smile a bit. A question then settled into Kevin's brain, begging for it to be asked. "Mitch, why did you step in front of Avi?"
Mitch then looked at Avi, then at Scott, and then back to Kevin. What he said caused their hearts to break.
"I've been taught that Alpha and Beta's safety came first. Since I'm an Omega, I had to protect him. I made sure that Avi stayed safe."

Kirstin paced back and forth angrily as her phone called someone. She kept it near her ear and when the person on the other end picked up.
"Finally," Kirstin yelled, shaking her head. She let out a breath of frustration. "What took you so long?!"
"I'm sorry! I was busy. What's the matter?"
"Don't talk to me like that! I might lose all the money I have!"
"You mean the money that you took from my family?"
"Shut up! It's mine now! You can't get it back. It's all your fault you lost it."
"I did it so that I made sure that he stayed safe! My family and I regret leaving him!"
"You left him though! None of this would have happened if you just brought him back into the family. All that money is mine now."
"That money was saved so that my dad, mom, and I could find him. How dare you tell us to pretend that we hate him?!"
"Because I have all your money. By the way, Alyssa knows that you lied about Mitch dying."
"I know that. I told her and I explained what happened. She's going to help me and my parents get to Mitch. You can't stop us."
"Oh, but I can. I could kill him. You'll never get to him."
"Kirstin, no! Don't hurt him!"
"Then don't see him unless I say something. This conversation is over. Bye, Jessa."
"Bye, Kirstin. Please tell him I lo-."
Kirstin hung up, feeling accomplished. Who would have known meeting the Grassis would benefit her so much? She laughed to herself, feeling like she just won the lottery. She then took out about five $100 bills, smiling evilly.
"You're going to get it, Mitch Grassi."
A/N: Sorry if this is confusing. Pretty much, the Grassis regret leaving Mitch. Kirstin somehow got into contact with them and told them that she will help them only if they gave her the 'inheritance' or the money that was saved for them to find Mitch. She also told that they had do pretend to hate him when they saw him or they would not be allowed to see him.
Hopefully that makes more sense.:) Again, I apologize if this chapter is confusing. I hope you all enjoyed the chapter and always remember that I love all of you.:)
