Aaron POV

"How was school?" Asked mom with a smile on her face.

"It was good." I said smiling back.

"Oh? This is a first." She said causing me to laugh.

"Yeah well. I didn't went to school exactly, I went to the first class and that's about it." I answered scratching my back.

"You know you were suppose to stay in school and observe people." Said my dad in his strong and strict voice.

"Yeah I know. But I found this girl, dad I swear she was beautiful." I said not being able to keep my smile from my lips.

"Still, you know what your job was." He said but not as strictly.

"But I got a lot more information on this town than if I'd just stayed in school and watched." I said taking a seat.

"And what did you find out?" Asked mom as both her and dad took a seat in front of me.

"Well turnes out you may be right, this is probably a job for us. From what Veronica tells me, this town is just too peaceful, there is nothing wrong with this place, but she says it's always been like that ever since she can remember." I said.

"But if this town is doing what we think it's doing then how come she could tell?" Dad asked and I shrugged.

"Apparently when her mother died she started to notice this things and isolated herself from people, which would explain her personality." I said with a laugh.

"What do you mean?" Asked mom.

"Well she's just very different and curious, she keeps to herself but that's only because she thinks no one really cares. She's smart as well." I said and dad rolled his eyes while mom smiled.

"You've never talked about a girl like that." Said mom and I gave her a small smile.

"It's just.. I don't know she wants to know everything and asks a lot of questions but I can tell it's not just to get it on with me, she's actually just curious about anything that's new to her." I said laying back on the seat with a sigh.

"Do you think we can save her? Do you think she can be-" I cut mom off.

"I do think we can save her. But it'll take every believes she ever had away. Her brother and father are way too far of to save though." I said digging my hands in my hair.

"There's nothing we can do for this people. If it's been going on for so long those people are probably already dead or out of spirit.. that's if they ever had any." Said dad and I nodded.

"But what are we supposed to do? If we just leave then there will be more victims but if we stay we may get infected as well." Said mom.

"I don't think the infection will just get you though. Cause Veronica has been living here for all her life and after her mother died she woke up, she has memories of that time and it doesn't seem like she was being controlled or possessed.. it's actually them." I said sitting back up thinking again.

"But then what's going on? If they're not possessed or controlled then what is it?" Asked mom.

"I don't know. We'll have to look into the history of this place and see if we can find something out. But I honestly don't think they're being controlled." I said with a sigh.

"Alright then. We'll do that tomorrow while you're in school. And this time stay in school and keep that girl inside as well." Dad said and I nodded when my phone vibrated signaling me that I had a text. I took it out and notice the text was from Veronica.

"Speaking of the devil." I said with a smirk as I opened the text.

"Is that her? Ask her if she would like to come for dinner." Said mom getting up.

"Alright I will." I answered mom and looked at the text.

'Bored out of my mind.' The text said and I laughed.

'You can come over to my house if you want. Mom asked if you'd like to have dinner with us.' I texted back and within seconds I had a text back.

'I'd love to. Sent me your address and I'll be there in a few.' I smiled and sent her my address.

"Mom she's coming over." I said when I made it to the kitchen.

"That's great honey. I'll be cooking for an extra person then." She said with a smile on her lips.

"Yeah and while she's here we can see if we can find out something of what the hell os going on here." Dad said and I rolled my eyes.

"It's always about work with you can't you see thay your son finally likes a girl and we're going to be meeting her?" Asked mom glaring at him and he gave her a guilty smile that's when the door bell rang.

"That must be her." I said and walked to the door to see her there. Her hair was styled the same way as before but she had a crop top on that was a bit short of her showing her stomach and jean short shorts on.

"Hey!" She said with her caramel eyes on me as I scanned her body with my eyes. She really is beautiful.

"Hey. Come on in." I said opening the door wider for her to come in.

"You have a lovely house." She said walking in and looking around.

"You came here rather quickly." I said with a laugh as she laughed as well.

"I had already changed and had taken a shower when I texted you. So I just walked downstairs and told my dad and brother I was going out before going out the door and the I found out you only live 1 block away from me." She said with a smile.

"Well that's interesting to know. Anyway my parents are in the kitchen." I said as I walked her to the kitchen.
