He was about to try and sleep when he heard a soft knock on his door...

"Come in." He mumbled, his voice sounding slightly gruff from being so tired as he sat up.

Tarian opened the door before putting his other hand in the hoodie pocket.

"I heard a lot of noises so I was just making sure everything was okay." He said keeping his gaze on the ground.

"Your hero complex is annoying but kind of sweet. Come here." Mandex said as he patted the spot beside of him on the bed.

"I dont know if that is a complement or an insult." Tarian said as he walked over to the bed, sitting down next to Dex.

"Neither, it's just a statement. It's two in the morning so go to sleep." Mandex said as he wrapped an arm around Tarian's waist while laying down.

"I can't go to my bed with your arm around me." Tarian said as he attempted to pry his arm off.

"So then sleep here? I'm a villain but I'm not evil enough to sexually harass you." Dex said as he shut his eyes.

Tarian sighed but eventually laid down, his back now facing Mandex's side.

Dex moved so he was spooning Tarian, his head resting on his shoulder and his arm still wrapped around his waist.

"You're okay with this right?" He asked, his breath fanning against Tarian's ear making him shiver.

Tarian nodded mutely as he shut his eyes resisting the eurge to relax into Mandex's embrace.

He was quite touch starved because his father never gave him more than a pat on the back and his mother's hugs were always very short and light. They were also very rare that she would hug him at all.

"You can relax, I'm not going to bite...unless you want me to." Dex said as he put his head into the crook of Tarian's neck.

Tarian allowed his body to relax into the embrace before saying "Please don't bite me, that sounds very painful."

Mandex chuckled with a small smile as he felt Tarian start to relax.

"Okay I won't then. Night." He said before shutting his eyes.

"Night." Tarian replied before sleep took them both once again.

***The next morning***

Tarian was the first to wake up and was very confused when he saw that he was laying on top of someone's chest.

"What the Hell?" He muttered as he looked up to see Mandex.

He then looked at how they were laying and saw that he was laying on top of the villain, their arms were wrapped around each other, and their legs were tangled together.

His brain told him to get up and move back to his own room but his body said "fuck that, I'm touch starved and comfortable".

Listening to his body Tarian rested his head back down onto Dex's chest and shut his eyes again.

"Well good morning to you too." Dex muttered as he moved one of his hands up to rub the sleep out of his eyes.

"Morning." Tarian mutter, his voice muffled by Mandex's bare, toned chest.

"Are you comfortable?" Dex asked in a sassy tone as he put his hand in Tarian's hair.

"Pretty comfortable yeah." Tarian replied even though he knew Dex was mostly just teasing him.

"Hmm, you didn't get a lot of affection growing up did you?" Dex asked as he ran his hand through Tarian's soft, short hair.

"Not really no." Tarian replied as he leaned into Mandex's hand.

"Me neither. Parents were abusive and then died so..." Mandex trailed off as he lifted his other hand to Tarian's hair starting to braid small braides in the short hair.

"I'm sorry to hear that. They got what they deserved." Tarian said before going stiff.

"What?" Dex asked noticing how stiff he had gotten, stopping his hands for a moment.

"My father might still be alive. He might come looking for me to kill me. I was the only witness to him killing my mother so he said that he would try and kill me. I escaped but that doesn't mean that he stopped looking for me." Tarian said as he started to sit up, only to be pulled back down by Dex.

"Calm down, nobody is going to hurt you here. Give me his address and I will go and check it out. If he is there then I will... make sure he doesn't come after you. If he isn't there then I know a person that can track him down for me. Just stay here and don't break anything." Dex said as he hugged the scared hero to his chest.

This called Tarian down quite a bit, "The address is 123 Pine Street." He muttered, his head now resting on Dex's shoulder.

"Alright, I will be back soon so like I said earlier don't break anything and we'll be good." Dex said as he sat up, Tarian moving to the side so he could get up fully.

"I won't and if I do then I can pay you back for it." He said with a shrug realizing that he probably just got a lot of money from his mother passing.

"True. Well I have to change so unless you want a show then I suggest you leave the room." Dex said, chuckling when he saw how quickly a blush grew on Tarian's face before the boy left.

Dex changed into another outfit that was his villain uniform (he had multiple because of how frequently he got them bloodied up).

He then left his room and saw Tarian sitting in his own room before leaving the house and to the address Tarian had given him.

*Focusing on Mandex*

He reached the house and walked in seeing that the door was already opened.

"Holy shit." He muttered when he saw how trashed the place looked and then saw Tarian's mother, blood pooled around her neck and chest.

"He never did tell me why his father did all of this. I wonder what happened." He thinks aloud as he searches the house.

Finding nobody alive downstairs, he decides to go upstairs and check out everything up there.

He opens all of the doors and looks inside when he finds Tarian's old room...
