DID YOU EVEN FREAKING KNOW that during the escape of power mad Wheatley, portal physics suddenly aren't portal physics?

After he says this quote, you should be in a room with an excursion funnel and a door. If you place a blue portal where the excursion funnel is and an orange one where the wall is to escape, this can happen:

Okay, remember. Because your blue portal is under the excursion funnel, you would fall out o it if you placed that portal anywhere else. BUT, if you place your blue portal on the panel that you'll see to escape, the excursion funnel still follows it!

If you noclip, then you can see that your portals were actually swapped right there.
