"Did you tell him?" As the social worker talked to Jin on another side of the hospital room, Taehyung whispered in Jungkook's ear while eating together.

Jungkook glanced at him and dismissed the idea, saying, "This is not the time."

A frown spread across Taehyung's face as he stared at Jungkook, "I don't think there will ever be a right time, you should tell him. Although it might not be my concern, if you do not tell him, I will. Not today, but one day." Taehyung clarified his statement as he saw Jungkook glaring at him.

"I will tell him, just mind your business. He is pregnant, by the way."

Taehyung's eyes widened, and he looked in Jin's direction then back at Jungkook, "isn't he at risk given what happened last time? He is probably going to need to be put on bed rest, at least let me not say this as it is not my area of practice."

Jungkook nodded, "yeah, you might be right. I have a specialist that I know seeing him later; he works here. He will see him as soon as he gets here, so we will have a better idea of what we need to do. As you said, he will probably suggest a bed rest regimen, but Jin will not be okay with that."

"Oh." Taehyung responded, "so what will you do?"

Jungkook shrugged, "I don't know; maybe it's not for us to expand our family. It may be true that we're not suited for another child. Unless he decides to do what's recommended, we will have the same thing happen again, or he can get an abortion, but I won't stress about any of it at this point."

"Wow, you don't sound like to Jungkook. I know you wanted another child-"

"Yeah, but at what cost? At what cost, Taehyung? The marriage between him and me is already a mess, and there is no telling whether we will stay or go. My daughter's life is stuck between us; this is a life of instability for her; she bounces between the house and his apartment while I'm getting radiation treatment, hoping for a good outcome. It would take too much time and energy for me to worry about anything further, so I believe if he does not want to listen or is not interested in having another child, then so be it; I just can't do everything." Jungkook was speaking his honest thoughts; he could no longer stress or frustrate himself on things that would only cause him more stress.

Although he always wanted another child, he had come to terms with the fact that it may never happen, especially in his marriage to Jin. He was now trying to keep a sane mind with what has occurred lately and not go crazy. Jin had now experienced a trauma he was going to need time to recover and heal from; he didn't want to become a burden at any point in his life, not at this time. Therefore, he was not going to interfere with whatever decision he so chose to make for this.

"I hope that everything works out for the best now, and I believe you should allow him to return home. Based on what has taken place to date, it is unlikely he will be okay independently. Although there is still work to be done in your marriage, I think you can work on it while coexisting in the same space." Taehyung said, sharing his opinion with his friend.

Jungkook nods, "yeah, I have thought of that; we will see what happens. I appreciate you staying here with me. Do you think you can check in on Ae Ri for us today?"

"Of course, that is not a problem. If you want, I can bring her to my home; the kids would love having her over."

"That would be great, thank you. I will facetime her later."

"Despite the fact that you can undergo surgery to correct this issue, now that you are pregnant, the best time for it to be done would be not during your pregnancy." Jungkook's former classmate says as he examines the scans and documents in his hand after checking in on Jin concerning Jungkook's request.

Jin's gaze fell to Jungkook sitting next to him, holding his hand in the next moment. Looking back at the doctor, he asked, "will I miscarry again? It happened before, but now I don't know if it will happen again?"

"There is always that strong possibility that it could happen again as you are high risk for another miscarriage. Although you seem to be in good health as of right now, and the baby is coming along well. I would, however, if I were to be your doctor during this journey, put you on bed rest for the duration of your pregnancy-"

"I cannot be on bed rest, there have to be other options, but I cannot do that; I have work, meetings to attend, and traveling to do for client meetings, so this wouldn't work; what other treatment do you have?" He was filled with anxiety upon hearing that recommendation, which he knew he never could do. He glanced at Jungkook, who was staring at the wall. "You know I can never be on bed rest."

"As a specialist in this area, I fully understand that being on bed rest scares many-you aren't the only one. However, if you want a healthy baby, this step is imperative. Failure to take the recommended step could result in a miscarriage. Something I understand you want to avoid happening again, your husband is a doctor; I am sure he can also tell you this is the best recommendation I can give." The doctor said while staring at Jin.

Jin looked to Jungkook, hoping he would say something, "Jungkook-"

"How would it affect him if he was given a modified bed rest, one that was not confined to a bed all day?" Jungkook asked, sitting up and pulling his hand away from Jin as he directed his question to his former classmate, Leo.

Dr. Leo considered Jungkook's question, "we could try that, but I would need to see him every week to monitor his progress and the health of the baby."

"That's fine; I think we could make that work," Jungkook said, feeling okay with that approach, one he thinks Jin would be okay with.

"What is modified bed rest?" Jin asked with his eyes squinted, looking at the two doctors in confusion.

"A modified bed rest would come with specific activity restrictions, of things you should not do during your pregnancy to help with lowering your risk of premature birth or miscarrying again. In your case, I would be restricting you from lifting anything heavier than nine kilograms; you are not allowed to do any form of recreational exercise. Working more than forty hours per week is not allowed; prolonged standing will also be prohibited at work.

Additionally, if you are experiencing frequent, intense contractions following sexual activity at this time, I recommend that you avoid sexual intercourse until you have given birth."

"I can work up to forty hours a week by going to work, but what if after I leave, I go inside and lay in bed and work from there? I sometimes get late emails that I have to pay attention to." Jin asked, wanting to clarify the exact restrictions he would be held to.

Dr. Leo stared at him a bit in disbelief, "you will be limited to forty hours a week, whether working in your office or at home. You are not allowed to work any longer than that. While I realize this can be hard, especially if you work a lot, if I want you to have a successful pregnancy, I need to give you some restrictions. Also, if after any follow-ups I see that you are not doing well with modified bed rest, I may put you on hospital bed rest where I can monitor you, but I trust it won't come to that."

"With modified bed rest, you will be okay," Jungkook intervened and gave Jin a look.

Jin nodded, "Yeah, that's fine with me, so I should be able to see you once a week. Can we schedule an early morning appointment? I'd like to make sure it fits with my daily schedule."

"Sure, I can work out an early morning appointment weekly for you; my office is down the block from this hospital."

Jin smiled, "perfect, I appreciate it and thank you for coming in on such short notice and helping my husband and me figure this out. We want this baby, and we don't want what happened before to happen again."

"No worries, Jungkook is a good friend of mine; he refers patients to me, and so do I to him all the time, so it is a pleasure to help out here."

Jungkook stood up and walked towards Leo, giving him a handshake. "Thanks, Leo. I'll contact you again soon and let Jin set up his appointments."

After bidding Leo goodbye, Jungkook turned and faced Jin, "I don't think we should tell Ae Ri about you being pregnant; let's monitor how things go first."

"I'm agreeable, also, and I know this might be a lot, but can you please consider my moving back to my home. I know we are still working on our relationship, but being pregnant and alone with all the stuff that happened, I'm uncomfortable."

Jungkook rubbed his hand over his face and then nodded, "sure, I was going to mention that, but yeah, it's fine. Also, I need to make sure that you understand the decision you will be making moving forward and that you also understand the meaning of being on bed rest-"

"I do-"

"No, seriously, Seokjin, I want you to listen to me. I would prefer you to decide to terminate this pregnancy and be honest with yourself regarding whether you have the capacity to do what is recommended or not, since if you lose this baby due to your obsessive work behavior, I will not hesitate to divorce you."

"A-are you threatening me?"

"No, I am being upfront and honest with you. The truth is that there is only so much I can accept and forgive. I am exhausted from everything that has happened and the continued occurrences. I want to work on our marriage, but I am no longer prepared to pay for your insensitive actions towards our marriage and our daughter. I heard you earlier, and I have something to say, but now is not the time."
