"Okay, bye!"
I waved to Tessa, as I headed home.
It was the last year of high school. Finally.
Just a few more days of school.
I got a text, from James, my boyfriend.
James: Hey Jade, look we need a talk...2 night?
Jade: about what? And sure my house.
James: Something important. C u soon.
What could that be about? Whatever.
I pressed play on my Melanie Martinez music. I leaned back in the bus seat, today is so nice!
I got off the bus, an began to walk home. The sun was shining, birds. ..probably chirping?
When I got inside, I grabbed a yogurt and sat down to watch YouTube. Before I could finish, there was a knock at the door.
"Hey James."
He smiled at me, though it looked like it pained him.
"Everything okay?" I asked, concerned.
He nodded, and then spoke before I could say anything else.

"Look Jade, you've been a really amazing person to me. I really didn't want to seem like some dirt bag but, I don't think this is going to work out. You're super sweet and there's noting wrong with you...but I'm kinda interested in someone else."
I swallowed the lump in my throat.
"I get it. I take no offense...I'm glad you told me. I don't want to hold you back from someone you like. Good luck by the way..."
He nodded at me, almost doubting I was sincere. I meant it though.
James was a nice guy, and I know he didn't want to hurt me. Though it still did. All the times we hung out, we're those real? It must have been, near the begining. During some point, someone else caught his eye, and he was just nice to me so I wouldn't be mad. It comforted me that he still cared about my feelings, but angered me at the same time.
"Thank you Jade. I won't stay any longer, I get you might need your space."
I nodded at him in thanks.
Why do my relationships never last? If I had a dollar for every break up or rejection I'd have an entire university fund.
I ate the rest of my yogurt while waiting for my mom to get home.
Later that night, I stayed up eating Oreo ice cream.

"Are you for real? I will whip his sorry little a-" I cut her off.
"Dangit Tessa! Calm down. It's fine with me okay? I'm not a soap opera teen, I'll get over it."
She smiled at me, before leaning in.
"If you change your mind, I have a pretty good basement and I got all the tools."
I burst out in laughter, and so did she. This is why she's my best friend.
Soon the day was over.

Ahem..Sorry.
As usual, I walked to the bus stop.
When I got home, I did the usual.

Yup there you have it, my life in a few words.
I couldn't sleep though. I found myself sitting by my window, facing....Andy's old house.
Only one family had lived there since he moved. They were a nice couple with two kids. They only stayed for a year though. Must have been because the third kid was gonna be born soon and they needed a bigger house.
I felt my eyelids try to shut, so I crawled back into bed.

I scooped fruitloops into my mouth, grogily. Suddenly I realised it was 7:55, and I might be late. So I rushed off to the bathroom to get ready.
School was the usual. Teachers started asking us to bring home some old work.
So close to summer!
The days went by quicker than I had imagined.
