So long, suckers!
The clocked ticked, as if in slow motion. The end of the day, the last day until vacation. I was so close to freedom. The teacher rambled on about safety in the summer. Don't care.
After what seemed to be a million years, the bell finally rang.
Buzzzz...
Some people yelled, others danced. I threw some papers up in the air. It wasnt like I'd need them.
"Jade, there you are!" It was my friend, Tasha. We were best friends, but she was in the other class. We still try our best to keep in touch.
"Here I am." I replied with a snicker.
She laughed, but it soon faded.
"I'm gonna miss you. I mean I know it's just a few months but, I'll be in Florida the whole time." Her face changed drastically, it seemed as if she were on the verge of tears. I spread my arms apart, waiting for her to hug me. She's the only one I actually like to hug.
After all the tears, and everyone was done with their goodbyes, I went home.
I decided to walk, since my house was only a few blocks away. Besides, I could stop at the convenience store on the way, and get something to drink.
I'd been walking for a while now, with my earphones in. Jamming out to some good songs, when someone interrupted me.
"Hey there cutie"
I turned around, with the death glare ready to greet whoever it was.
"What did you call me?"
"Cutie, but if you want I can call you something else." The boy said. He was a medium sized guy, I didn't think he went to our school. He had a stupid grin on his face, and I knew his strange green eyes weren't focused on my face....
"No, don't call me anything. What do you want?" I made sure my voice sounded extra ticked off.
"Maybe your number." He said, moving his eyebrows up down.
"Hey, my eyes are up here!" I said a bit louder.
He snickered, as if he thought this whole thing was a joke.
"Get lost." I told him.
I began to walk away, quickly. I was done with him, and wanted to get home. I mean come on, I have better things to do.
But apparently he wasn't done with me.
"Hey, hey! I still didn't get your number, cutie."
Was it so hard to understand? God, how stupid can people get?
"No duh. Now get lost."
"Or what?" He shot back.
"Or I'll knock some sense into you, with my fists."
"Feisty, my type."
He gave another stupid grin.
"I told you get lost. Don't make me call the cops." I said loudly, shoving him away.
He must've said something, but I was too busy running to care.
