Dear diary,

I'm a little bit sad that mum moved to live in Brisbane. Adelaide was my previous home and dad still lives there. I just got this diary for my 7th birthday today and I love it! It has so many pages! Well, today is my first day at my new school and I'm really excited. I can't wait to make new friends! I still do miss all of my old friends like: Jessica, McKenzie, Amelia and I also miss Alex. He is so nice! I can't believe that I won't be able to see them again. At least I still have popcorn to cuddle up to. What's even more annoying, Olivia and I have to repeat! I have to repeat year 1 and Olivia has to repeat year 5. It sucks! Really! Why do we have to repeat? Well, wish me luck on my first day. Bye!
