Something sacred to me
Something no one should break
You don't just make one
And then break it
That's not how it works

Too many times
Too many people
Too many broken promises
Too many heart aches
Too much pain to deal with

When your heart stops
After you find out
As if you're jumping off a cliff
There is no end to the free falling feeling
The feeling of death coming soon

Your throat gets dry
You can barely breathe
Air isn't coming in
Your heart is trying its best to pump
But to no avail, your mind is dead

Your feelings go away
With every promise broken
Until you're left with a rotten heart
A mind with no feelings
A meaningless robot

Too many broken promises to count
Have left me crying alone at night
Cutting in the bathroom at 12 am
Overdosing on pills at 8 pm
Burning myself with a lighter at 10 pm

Too many broken promises
My heart can't take much more
I'm falling apart
Can't they see?
And there's no way to fix me.
