dear diary,
it's christmas.

i didn't spend it happily,
but i went out to the mall myself.
i didn't want to spend my christmas with my mother who's still sorrowful from her divorce.

the mall was loud,
but it just made me feel safe.
i always spend my christmas with jeongguk,
we always watch movies and order a bunch of pizzas.

but today is different.

everything had a drastic change after jeongguk started dating ahreum.
it's funny how a girl like ahreum could easily change him.
he was always numb to girls,
but i don't understand how ahreum made him fall in love with her.

but, i saw jeongguk at the mall.
he wasn't with ahreum, so i walked up to him and asked where was ahreum,
he said he was buying her a gift.
i saw the necklace he had in his hand,
and it was beautiful.
i'm sure it suited ahreum.

before i left the store,
he grabbed my wrist,
and said something that made me cry.

he said he's leaving to america,
and he wanted me to forgive him for being ignorant.

i couldn't speak,
so i just ran out of the store,
before he sees my eyes tear up.
