"What Amanda?"

"You went on a date? And didn't tell me?"

"Sorry about that"

"It's alright as long as you tell me next time"

"Deal. And what's going on with you and Audric?"

"Well. We're getting married in three months since his family won't be here until then"

"Aww. I can't wait to see my little sister get married, have kids, and then leave me to be an old cat lady"

"Don't pout Maria. At least my kids will like your cats"

"Yeah. That makes me feel better"

"Hey! What about that guy you just went on a date with?"

"I'm not sure. He tried to kiss me, but I backed away before he could"

Amanda sat on the couch and patted the seat next to her.

"Sit down"

Maria sat down next to Amanda and faced her.

"I just can't do it"

"Can't do what?"

"I can't date him"

"Look Maria. I know that Colton hurt you, but don't you think you deserve to be happy?"

"Colton was my best friend in high school. When me and him started dating, he would hit me all the time after that"

As Maria started to talk about it, it was as if she saw the whole scene in her head.

"Hi Maria"

"Hi Colton. Need anything?"

"yeah uh, I was wondering if you might want to...go out with me Friday night?"

"Sure"

"Yes!"

Colton started to jump in excitement as he started to go to his next class. A few weeks after this Colton came to Maria's house unexpected.

"Colton, what are you doing here?"

"May I come in?"

"Yeah, sure"

Colton walked in and looked at Maria.

"Can we talk in your room?"

"Sure"

The two went into her room and Colton locked the door.

"Why did you lock the door?"

"So no one will be able to walk in on us"

"Walk in on us doing what?"

Maria already knew what he wanted and her heart started to pound so loud she could her it.

"Don't be afraid Maria. You know I love you"

Maria backed away more and more but got trapped when she reached the wall. As Maria had a look of fear on her face, Colton made his way to her.

"Please Colton!"

"You shouldn't be scared, it's just me, Colton"

"No it isn't. I don't know what's gotten into you but this isn't the Colton I know"

"Maybe I don't want to be the Colton you know"

After he said this he tried to pull her close to him but she resisted. She pushed him away and tried to run for the door.

"Maria! Come back!"

Maria unlocked the door and opened it. But as she tried to run away, Colton grabbed her leg, making her trip and hit her head on the edge of a table outside her door.

"Oh my god! Maria! Look what you made me do!"

Maria tried to get up and run but couldn't.

"Stay down!"

"Get out...of my house. Now!"

"You can't tell me what to do"

Maria barely stood up and tried to limp away. She held her head with one arm and put her other one on the wall for support. Colton got up and pulled her away.

"I will help you Maria"

"Help!...Help....help"

Maria tried to scream for help but couldn't. The moment Maria stopped Maria's mom walked in the house.

"Maria! I'm home!"

Colten's face turned pale as he started to climb out one of the windows. Maria started to crawl to the front door to try and get her mom to help her.

"Mom!" Maria screamed weakly.

Maria's mom ran to her and covered her mouth as she witnessed her daughter crawling towards her with a hole in her head. She called 911 and tried to help Maria.

As this scene started to fade away she looked Amanda dead in the eye.

"Don't you remember that Amanda?"

"Ya. You got a restraining order on Colton and we moved to this town"

"Exactly. I don't want that happening again"

"It won't. And if it does then that jerk won't be walking ever again"

"You can be so violent at times Amanda"

"I'm only looking out for my big sister"

"I know. You know what's weird?"

"What?"

"You definitely make a better bigger sister"

"I know. And sleeping beauty would definitely be jealous of how you sleep"

"Okay. If we're done making fun of my snoring, I guess we should talk about your wedding. Like decorations, seating and all that"

"You're right"

The two started talking about Amanda's wedding and stopped at around 1 AM.
