6. A redhead model appeared
Ash got out of his car and closed the door. He unlocked his car and walked toward the gate of his grandparents' house. They don't call him everyday to ask him to come, but who would say no to grandma Eleanor's food?
The door opened as soon as Ash rang the doorbell. "Ash! Dear!"
"Hi grandma."
"Come on in, handsome!" Eleanor giggled. "Look at you!"
Ash chuckled nervously. Sometimes, he wore those designer suits, and today he picked an all-black look. It really depends on the mood. He had other plans today, but it didn't work out. He still couldn't find the redhead woman around that street.
"Come! I want to introduce you someone."
Ash blinked. His grandmother held his hand and led him to the living room. He chuckled when he saw his mom sitting on the couch. "Well, I know my mom alr-..."
He paused when he noticed another woman sitting on the opposite side.
"Ash, this is Serena Yvonne." Eleanor gestured to the thin petite girl sitting in a lady-like manner.
Ash turned to look at his mother. She smiled.
He looked at Serena. The young woman smiled. "Hi."
"This is Ash! He's shy, excuse him." Eleanor put her hands on Ash's shoulder. She looked him up and down. "He looks ready for the occasion, doesn't her? It couldn't be a coincidence!"
Delia chuckled lightly. "Totally not."
Serena smiled politely, her eyes not leaving Ash.
"You can stay here - which I wouldn't advise much because I have a very curious daughter-in-law - but you can also go somewhere nice, have dinner and get to know each other!"
"Like, dinner, with her?" Ash was speaking to his grandmother. "Why?"
"Oh, sweetie - you don't get enough of jokes, do you?" Eleanor and Delia chuckled nervously. It was those chuckles behind hands Ash didn't trust much.
"Shall we?" Serena picked up her purse and got up. She looked at Ash. "What are you suggesting?"
"I was..." Ash looked stunned upon seeing Serena's full figure. She was wearing a very short dress and it suited her well. "I was thinking I could get some of grandma's food."
"Okay, sweetie, you should head out before restaurants get all packed!" Eleanor pushed Ash toward the door. "Take Serena for some seafood."
"I'm allergic to shrimp." Serena spoke from her spot.
"Okay - anything else! Just get out." Eleanor and Delia exchanged a look and kept making Ash walk toward the door. "Have fun!"
"Bye!"
The door slammed, leaving Serena and Ash outside.
"Is that your car?" Serena noticed the Jaguar outside. She walked toward it, her high heels clicking.
Ash shrugged. He unlocked it and Serena quickly opened the car door. "What is this?"
He rushed quickly and snatched the shoes box away from her hands.
"Is it for me?" Serena gasped. "It's a limited edition!"
"No, it's not." Ash put the shoes in the back and headed to the front seat.
"Okaay..." Serena got in. "Maybe next time..."
-
"Come on, Misty. Let's do this."
Twenty-five years old Misty Williams ran her hair through her perfectly straight orange hair and opened her suit jacket, revealing her white skin and most of her cleavage. She had wide-legs suit black pants on and was wearing nothing under the blazer.
"Give me sexy, Misty. Give me sexy! I want sexy!" The photographer shouted.
Misty started posing. She flipped her long orange hair, ran her hands through it, put her hand on her chest, ran her hand through her neck.
"Brilliant! Brilliant!" The flash wasn't stopping. Other photographers were taking pictures from other angles.
"Show it, Misty! Show me you're sexy! Come on!"
Misty sat on the chair, pulled her knee up to her chest and put her fingers into her hair.
"Excellent!"
"Enough for today." Misty raised her hands. The photographers stopped taking pictures.
"Come on! Misty!" A man shouted from behind. "We could still do more!"
"I'm tired! I'm off." Misty flipped her hair and walked away from the white space she was being photographed in. "Rudy."
"Okay, princess." Rudy followed after her. "You don't seem okay today."
Misty walked toward her office and got inside. Rudy followed her inside and closed the door. She started taking off her makeup. "I just don't really feel at my greatest."
"Misty, if it's because of the idiot who hit you-"
"Nooo, no." Misty chuckled. "I'm okay, trust me."
"No bruises? Not a scratch?"
"No, just a broken heel." Misty sighed. "Get out. I'm going to change out of this suit and go out."
"To where?" Rudy crossed his arms over his chest. "I'm your agent. I should know everything."
"No, you just want to know if I'm going out with a guy." She got up and went to face him. "But that's my life, and you don't get to stick your nose in it."
"I just... you know." Rudy spoke in a low voice.
"I know." She nodded. "And we talked about this a long time ago, Rudy. We're over this."
"I just like to remind you." He smiled.
"I know." She smirked and led Rudy out of her office. "But just because you like me, doesn't mean you get to see my gorgeous naked body, so out!"
"My stomach feels weird." Ash complained as he slowly drove in night traffic. "I'm never going back to that place. It's not good."
Serena wasn't sure if Ash was actually joking or serious. He ate what was left of her filet mignon, his lasagna dish, cheesecake, chocolate mousse and topped everything with ice cream and coffee.
"Maybe I should have had a glass of wine for digestion."
Serena felt like slapping her face.
"But I'm driving, so, yeah." Ash sighed after he stopped again. "Traffic is bad tonight."
"Uhm..." Serena looked in front of her. "Maybe there is an event somewhere."
"This street is always like this." The same street where he hit that redhead woman. The crowd here was always bad, but it was city center. "They should find a so - oh, it's her!"
"What?" Serena blinked. She looked around. "Who's her?"
Ash got out of the car and rushed to the sidewalk. From inside the car, Serena could see him talk to a redhead woman she recognized instantly.
"Misty Williams?" Serena gasped.
"Oh, you?" Misty put her hand on her hip. "What a coincidence." She glanced over at the window, eyes meeting with Serena. "You've got the girlfriend aboard, so drive safe."
"She's not my girlfriend." Ash chuckled. He quickly said, "I have been looking for you for a few days now." He rubbed his hands together. "I've got something for you."
"Huh?"
Misty watched as Ash opened the back door. He got outside the shoes box and handed it over to her - all under Serena's eyes.
"This is for you." Ash bowed his head slightly. "I'm very sorry for what happened that day. I wasn't paying attention."
Misty let a chuckle. "You got me shoes?"
"Yeah."
"I don't know how to feel about this. I mean, I can buy my own shoes!" She chuckled again. "But at least we're not shouting at each others' faces, so thanks." She looked him in the eye. "What's your name?"
"Ash."
"Thank you for the shoes, Ash." Misty started walking.
"You're welcome-..."
"Misty!" She shouted, giggling. Misty turned around, walking away; her hips swaying.
Ash found himself smiling broadly. The smile suddenly faded when he realized he forgot about Serena in his car. He turned to look at her and spelled a mute 'sorry', quickly making it back to his seat.
"He's with Misty Williams! I can't believe this..." Serena whispered to herself.
"I'm sorry! You're not late, are you?" Ash turned on the car again.
"No, it's okay."
"Right... uh, so, do you drive? I really need to drink some wine to digest!"
