(F/n)'s POV

While I was eating, I remembered something. "Hey Levi, have any idea where this bruise came from?" I asked, snapping him out of his own thoughts. He looked to where I was pointing, which would be my forehead.

His eyes slightly widened but not much. Levi opened his mouth to say something but pursed them together when we heard Hanji running over to our table.

"IS THAT A HICKEY?!" She screamed, causing everyone in the mess hall to stare at us quietly. "Shut it, shitty glasses! You were there, remember?" Levi frowned.

"She was..there?" I furrowed my eyebrows at him.

What the actual fuck did he do to me?!

"And no, it's not a hickey." I noticed a small pink hue dust his cheeks.

"While I was taking you back to your room, you hit your head on the corner of a wall." Levi answered.

How on Earth did I do that?

I gave him a questioning look, as if asking "how".

"I was dragging you by the legs..so that should be self explanatory." He added, and I nodded.

Why would he drag me? He could have carried me or left me in the mess hall..

"Are you ok, (f/n)?" Gunther asked. "Yeah, I'm fine." I gave a bright smile to him, earning a small grin in return. While I was in the middle of my thoughts again, I saw Hanji had an evil smile. Not good.

"So~ I saw you go into (f/n)'s room last night..and not leave until this morning." Hanji smirked, leaving Levi and I slightly blushing. "Hanji, do you want me to hurt you?" Levi growled in a stern voice.

"You had sex, admit it!" She squealed. "HANJI!" I shouted, my face becoming redder if possible. Before I covered my face with my hands, I saw Levi's squad snickering. Except for Gunther. He looked uncomfortable in a way.

"WE DID NOT! WHY WOULD I FUCK MY FRIEND?!" Levi screamed, soon regretting yelling that out loud. "Hanji, we're just friends! Nothing more, nothing less. I mean, why would we feel that way towards each other?"

"Y-yeah, she's right Hanji. We don't have those feelings towards each other. And never will." Levi hesitantly replied. "Alright, alright." She sighed, finally walking away.

God, she had to make it SO awkward!

"So you guys didn't-" Levi shot a glare at Eld, which made him cut off his own sentence. "Tch." Levi got up and left the mess hall. "Yeah..Hanji just likes to embarrass people sometimes." Petra chuckled.

"I could tell." I rolled my eyes, sighing.

Levi's POV

Why did I say that? Why did I say "We'll never feel that way for each other"?

I was walking down the hall towards my office, rubbing my temples in frustration.

"Dammit! Look what you've done to me!" I cursed under my breath.

I can't stop thinking of her now..

I walked into my office, sitting down at my desk and heavily sighing.

"I think.......I'm in l-love with (f/n)." I whispered, feeling my cheeks heat up slightly.

But I can't tell her, she's my friend. That would be wired to date your childhood friend..wouldn't it?

I can't let her know or let myself grow too attached to (f/n) because it would distract me from saving humanity. "What am I going to do?" I asked myself, burying my face in my hands.

"First Petra, now (f/n)? Fuck." I muttered.

*Later that week*

(F/n)'s POV

I took the test yesterday and today I was going to find out which squad I was going to get into. I didn't really care which squad I got picked to be in, but it would be nice if it were Levi's since his squad is really nice and I know them already.

"Alright cadet, us squad leaders have discussed for a long time on who's squad you'll be in." Commander Erwin started. I felt a little nervous to hear which one I would get, honestly.

"And we've decided that you will be in squad Levi." He finished. A big smile made it's way on to my face, "Thank you!" I smiled even wider. I walked out of the commander's office and saw Petra in the hallway.

"Hey, (f/n)! So what did they say?" She asked, smiling. "Well...they said," I hesitated to answer in a sad like tone to mess with her. "Oh no..did you not get in corporal Levi's squad?" She frowned.

"That's just it..because I did get in his squad!" I exclaimed in a happy manner now. "You did?! YAY!" She squealed with excitement since she's not the only girl now. "I'm so happy!" She giggled.

"I am too!" I replied, getting a hug from her. "Let's go tell the others the good news!" Petra grabbed my hand and started running for the training grounds where my new squad was at.

"You guys, meet our new comrade!" Petra shouted when we got to the training grounds. Everyone turned around and their eyes widened when they saw me.

"You got on squad Levi?!" Eld asked. "I did!" I replied, smiling. "Wow, congrats kid." Oluo grinned. "Thanks." I smiled back. "(F/n), I'm so happy for you!" Gunther smiled, giving me a hug.

Except when he hugged me, he lifted me off the ground and spun in a circle. "Easy there, Gunther! Don't make her dizzy." Petra chuckled. "Sorry." He mumbled, putting me back down.

I giggled at Gunther for not really thinking of what he was doing at the time. "(F/n)," I turned around and saw Levi walking towards us. "Yeah?" I gave him my full attention.

"Now that you're in my squad, you'll share a room with Petra." He said. "Why's that?" I asked. "It's more convenient that way." He replied before walking back inside.

"Guess I'll go pack up again." I mumbled. "But at least we get to be roommates!" Petra smiled. "That's true." I smiled back, heading inside to pack up my things.

Time Skip

I finished packing and I went down the halls, going to Petra's room. When I got there, I knocked on the door and waited for her to answer. "Hey, roommate!" She exclaimed as she opened the door.

"Hey!" I greeted. I walked inside and saw a bunk bed with two dressers and a desk. Walking over to one of the dressers, I started unpacking again. "This may seem a little early to ask, but do you like anyone here?" I heard Petra ask.

I stopped in place while I was folding one of my shirts, "..No..not really." I hesitated. "What about you?" I asked her. "Nope." She replied. "But I do know someone who likes you, (f/n)." Petra smirked.

"Really now? And who would that be?" "Sorry, I promised them I wouldn't tell!" I rolled my eyes. There was a knock on the door and Petra got up to answer it.

"Commander Erwin said to come to the mess hall." I heard Eld say. "Okay, thanks Eld." Petra replied. I finished unpacking so we went to the mess hall to see what the commander needed.

When we got there, we saw all of the other cadets already here. "You're all probably wondering why I gathered you all here." The commander started.

"The reason being, we have an expedition coming up in a few weeks. I expect you all to train your hardest and be prepared for leaving the walls. That is all, you're dismissed."

An expedition already? Wow.

"Looks like you're going outside the walls for your first time, already!" Petra exclaimed. "Yeah. I can't wait to see some of the outside world!" I smiled.

"Well, we better get to training." Petra said, making her way towards the mess hall exit. I followed behind her as we made it outside to the training grounds.

Time Skip

After training for a few hours, I had to go check on (h/n). I gave (him/her) some fresh food and water. "Want a sugar cube?" I asked (h/n), acting like I would get an answer.

(He/she) neighed, so I gave (him/her) the sugar cube. After (h/n) finished eating the sugar cube, I grabbed a brush and started grooming (his/her) (color) fur.

"Ready for the expedition?" I heard a voice ask from behind me. I turned around and saw Levi leaning up against the wall. "I guess." I replied, going back to grooming (h/n).

"Just a little nervous. It's my first time leaving the walls, and I've never seen a Titan in person before." I added. Levi came up to me, putting a hand on my shoulder. "Don't worry too much. You'll do fine."

I smiled a little, looking back at him now. "Thanks, Levi." I replied. "Trust me, it's not as bad once you leave the gates to the outside." He reassured me. "I'll have you positioned by me since it's your first time." He added.

"This is why I'm friends with you, you always have my back." I grinned. "You better get some rest, we have a long day of training tomorrow." I nodded, putting the brush back down when I finished grooming (h/n)

"Okay. Goodnight, Levi." I smiled. "Night." He replied. Before he walked out of the stables, I quickly hugged him from behind. I guess I caught him off guard because he completely froze.

We didn't say anything. But when I let go, he hesitantly continued to walk back inside. Quietly sighing, I soon walked inside as well.

I really did miss him.

When I got back inside to Petra and I's shared room, she was already there. "I'm going to the showers." I told her. "I am too." She replied, taking out her night clothes. I did the same and also grabbed my hairbrush.

We both walked down the hall to the showers and made small talk on the way there. While I was showering, I couldn't stop thinking about what Petra said earlier today.

But I do know someone who likes you, (f/n).

I repeated her words in my head.

Who could it be? Could it be someone from Levi's squad, or in someone else's squad?

I asked myself.
