2- Introductions

(F/n)'s POV

"So why did you join the Survey Corps?" I asked Levi once we got inside of HQ. "We got caught a few years back by the scouts. We were given the choice to join them, or face charges. It's pretty obvious of what we chose." He answered.

I playfully gasped and smacked my hands together, "YOU FACED CHARGES!" I chuckled. "Tch. I see you're still as sarcastic as before." He playfully rolled his eyes.

"You could tell?" I smirked. "Noo~." He replied with sarcasm as well. "I really missed you." I grinned, looking at the floor.

"Yeah...Isabel kept whining for you to return from-wait...where were you?" Levi asked this earlier, I don't know if I want to tell him.

I didn't answer him, but kept my gaze on the floor as we walked through the hallways. "Oi, brat! Answer me!" He shouted, shoving me into a wall.

"The hell, Levi?" I rubbed my arm that made contact with the wall really hard. "Why won't you tell me where you were at?" We continued walking again.

"I'm not comfortable talking about my past..." I muttered. "Tch." He was annoyed with me. "Well, here's your room." We stopped in front of a wooden door.

I opened the door and walked inside the small bedroom. There was a dresser, twin bed, desk and chair, and also a small window.

Nothing special, I didn't come here expecting to have an "amazing" room anyway. "Have fun cleaning, (nickname)." I turned around and looked at him, wide eyed.

"You still remember my nickname?" I raised an eyebrow, "Course." He replied, walking away. I quietly chuckled and set my bag down.

Levi is quite the tour guide, he only showed me to my bedroom!

I sighed and walked out of my room, going down the hall in search for the cleaning supplies since my room was unmistakably dusty.

While I was walking, someone tapped my shoulder. "Hm?" I hummed, turning around to be met by a tall dark haired man. "You lost?" He asked.

"Yeah...I'm new, and I'm looking for the cleaning supplies." I answered. "Oh, nice to meet you! I'm Gunther Schultz." He held out a hand.

"You too, I'm (f/n) (l/n)." I smiled, shaking his hand. "So I'm guessing you're just like captain Levi if you were looking for the cleaning supplies?" He chuckled.

"Me just like Levi?" I repeated, laughing. "Oh man that's funny! We may be similar in some very small ways, but no. I'm not just like him." I chuckled some more.

"Well that's good, I don't think we could handle another captain!" Gunther snickered. "So who's squad are you in?" He asked as we walked down the hallway. "Not sure yet." I answered.

We got to the supply closet and I got out what I needed. "Is there anywhere else I can help you locate?" Gunther leaned against the wall behind him. "Um...well I was never showed anywhere else besides my room." I blushed from embarrassment

"I can show you around after you get your room cleaned, if you'd like?" "Sure! That would be great!" I exclaimed, closing the closet door. Gunther smiled, and we both waved bye.

I headed back to my room, and started cleaning. While I was in the middle of sweeping, I heard a knock on my door. "Come in!" I called out. The door opened and revealed a strawberry blonde haired girl.

"Hello! You must be the new cadet? My name is Petra Ral." She smiled. "Hi, I am new! I'm (f/n) (l/n)." I smiled back. "Wonderful to meet you! I heard you don't have a squad yet, I hope you get on captain Levi's. I would love to have another girl on the team!" Petra exclaimed.

"You're the only girl?" I tilted my head a little. "Yeah..it sucks though! Being the only girl on squad Levi, it may be every girls dream to be surrounded by men...but not for me." She chuckled.

"Oh, would you like help cleaning?" She quickly added, before I could reply to her previous statement. "No, it's fine! I'm almost done, anyways." I replied. "Okay. But if you ever need help, then you can ask me!" She waved and left.

Looks like there's some nice people here.

After about fifteen minutes of cleaning, I finished.

I guess all those cleaning lessons with Levi when we were younger really paid off!

I wiped off the sweat on my forehead and gathered all the cleaning supplies I used. Walking out of my room, I saw Petra and Gunther with some other cadets.

"Want that tour now?" Gunther asked, noticing me leave my room. "Sure, let me just drop these back off!" I replied, continuing my journey back to the cleaning closet.

I returned to the hallway where I saw Petra and Gunther at. "Hey (f/n)!" Petra smiled. I smiled back, looking at the other two male cadets standing beside them.

"I'm Eld Jinn." A tall man with blonde hair said. "Tch. I'm Oluo Bozado." The other blonde spat. "Oh, I see we have another Levi here." I rolled my eyes.

"And I thought you thought I was another Levi." I chuckled, pointing at Gunther. "I'm (f/n) (l/n)." I introduced myself to Eld and Oluo.

"I'll show you around before lunch starts." Gunther said. "Okay." I replied, following him down the hall. I looked over my shoulder and waved 'bye' to the others.

Time Skip

"And here's the mess hall. By the looks of it, lunch seems to be ready. So perfect timing!" Gunther and I walked inside the mess hall.

There was a table for the superiors, and multiple for the cadets. Levi was siting at a table with his squad though. "Can (f/n) sit with us?" I heard Petra ask Levi.

"Tch. Fine." He sighed. "Thank you, corporal!" She exclaimed. I looked at Petra and saw her waving me over. I grinned, walking over to their table.

"Good afternoon, fellow cadets!" I exclaimed, sitting down with them. I wasn't really that hungry so I just got a cup of green tea.

Gunther sat down beside me and Levi was at the end of the table to my left. "So what's goin' on in this neck of the woods?" I asked, looking around the table.

"I was just being nagged for when we're going to see which squad you're going to be on." Levi sighed, drinking his tea. "And when will that happen?" I raised an eyebrow, resting my chin on my knuckles.

"End of the week." He answered. "Cool!" I cheered, going back to my tea cup. "Did you get your room cleaned?" Levi leaned back in his chair, staring at me.

"I did indeed, Mr. Clean." I chuckled. I sipped on my tea, with everyone else at the table staring at me now. "What?" I furrowed my eyebrows. "You have to be formal with him!" Eld whisper/shouted.

"Relax, he's not going to kill me." I rolled my eyes. "Tch." Levi replied. "Sir, why didn't you punish her?!" Petra half shouted. "Why would I punish an old friend for doing no harm?" Levi glared at Petra.

"Wha-huh..?" They were all left confused. "I've known Levi awhile before the military days." I answered. "You did?" Eld asked. "Yes. Now stop asking questions, brats." Levi scowled.

"Yes, sir." They all said in unison. I chuckled at how scared they seemed to be of Levi. "Loosen up guys, he's not going to bite!" I laughed, looking back at a bored Levi.

I finished my tea, getting up and walking back to my room. I didn't have training until tomorrow morning. When I got back to my room, I started to unpack the minimal amount of items I had.

I took out my very few shirts and pants, along with my night clothes. While I was putting my clothes in the dresser, I heard someone walk into my room without knocking.

I looked over my shoulder and saw Levi standing by the door. "Yes, Levi?" I asked, continuing to put things away. "Can't I just visit? I mean, I haven't seen you in almost a decade!" He sat on the edge of my bed, watching me.

"I wasn't trying to be rude." I chuckled. "Need help?" I looked at him. He was holding one of my (f/c) bras, and I instantly blushed from embarrassment.

"Put that down!" I shouted. He didn't listen though, instead he slingshotted  it at my face. "LEVI!" I shouted again, laughing. I took the bra off my face, and put it in my dresser.

I saw a small smirk plastered on his lips. "You little perverted boy!" I rolled my eyes, and crossed my arms over my chest.

"Shut up." He playfully insulted. "Anyways, I don't need help from you because you would probably mess around with my undergarments like the little pervert you are." I chuckled.

"Alright whatever, I'm leaving." He got up and left my room. I sighed, and put away the rest of my things. I looked up at the wall that had my door, and looked at the wall clock.

It was two in the afternoon already. I sat down on my bed, looking out of the window. I didn't realize it, but I guess I was really tired.

It wouldn't hurt to have a short nap.

I lied back, shutting my eyes, waiting for sleep to take over. After what seemed like forever of tossing and turning, I finally fell asleep.

~

I watched as my father swung the butcher knife down, cutting into the bottom of my mother's neck.

Her body went limp as her lifeless body hit the floor. I wasn't one to cry, but this was a time where I did in fact shed a tear. I stood up, my legs wobbling a little, and charged at my murderer of a father.

"YOU BASTARD, YOU KILLED MY MOTHER! I HATE YOU!" I screamed with pure rage and anger boiling inside. "JUST GO KILL YOURSELF, GO TO HELL! YOU'RE THE DEVIL HIMSELF!"

~

I woke up from the nap. I couldn't remember what my dream was about, or if it was a nightmare. All I knew was that I was shaken up. My hands and legs were trembling as I got off my bed.

There was a loud and obnoxious knocking on my door, which I didn't really notice at first. I slowly walked over to the door, and opened it slightly.

"Yes, Levi?" I asked when I opened the door more. "Time for dinner." He bluntly stated. "O-okay." I grinned. He grabbed one of my wrists, and pulled me out into the hallway.

We walked down the hallway, his hand still clenched around my wrist. It was pretty awkward since he didn't seem to mind.

Will he let go? Or are we going to walk in like this?

Levi stopped at the mess hall door. He turned around, looking down at my hand, that was still shaking for no reason. "Are you okay?" He furrowed his eyebrows at me.

"I-I honestly don't know..." I quietly stated. He shook his head and let go of my wrist, walking inside the mess hall. I followed behind him, and sat down with his squad again.

"Hey (f/n)!" They all greeted. I didn't reply, but just simply smiled. I kept quiet the whole time and ate my bread. I guess I was spacing out because I couldn't hear anyone around me talking anymore.

All I could hear were my thoughts.

I'm really nervous for the test to see which squad I'll get into.

"(F/n), you okay?" I heard Petra ask. I quickly looked at her, "Yeah...I'm fine." I gave her a small smile.

I quietly sighed, bringing up my left hand to my face to lean on. "Oi! That's a beautiful ring, (f/n)!" Petra exclaimed. I furrowed my eyebrows at her, putting my hand back on the table to look at it.

"What, this old thing?" I looked back up at Petra. "Yes. It's a very lovely piece of jewelry. And if I'm correct, that's an antique?" "It is." I answered. I kept gazing at my ring now, not really noticing how much my hand was shaking.

"Why is your hand all shaky?" Eld asked. "I don't know." I muttered. "I'm going to go." I mumbled, trying to get out of this awkward situation.

I went towards the door that led to the hallway, hearing them whisper about something as I was leaving. I quietly sighed, ignoring their whispers as I continued to leave the mess hall.

As I got back to my room, I grabbed my night clothes and left again to go to the showers.

Alright, let's see if I remember where the showers are.

I turned a corner and bumped into something. More like someone. I looked up and saw Gunther. "Oh, I'm sorry!" We both said in unison.

"It's okay." We both replied. "Are you lost again?" He asked. "Well...sort of." I chuckled. "Don't worry, I can help you...again." "Thanks."

While we walked down the halls, Levi popped out of nowhere like he was a demon being summoned. "What are you two brats doing?" He asked, startling Gunther a bit.

"I'm showing her to the showers, sir." He saluted. "At ease, cadet. And I can show her myself." Levi replied, starting to walk away. "Uh...thanks Gunther, for showing me halfway there I guess...?" I smiled, following after Levi.

Why would Levi suddenly decide to show me the way?

"Hey Levi?" I asked. "What?" He replied. "Why are you showing me to the showers?" "You have a problem with that?" He asked.

"N-no." I hesitated. "Tch." I rolled my eyes at his response. "Here." I looked up from the floor and saw Levi pointing to a door. "Thanks." I slightly grinned.

He didn't reply, but just simply walked away like I wasn't even there.

Looks like he hasn't changed a bit.

I walked into the room and saw a bunch of shower stalls.

I heard a shower already running and then Petra peeked out from behind the curtain. "Oh, hi (f/n)!" She smiled. "Hey." I greeted. "Are you sure you're okay? You seemed uncomfortable at dinner." She asked, going back behind the curtain.

"I'm fine." I answered, untruthfully. I honestly didn't know why I felt uncomfortable, I can't remember what my dream was about.

After my shower, I changed and left for my bedroom again. While walking, Levi came up to me again. "What's up with you, are you a ninja?" I asked without looking at him.

"Sure. I just wanted to know how your first day was." He replied. "Aw, Levi cares?" I asked in a cute voice that only seemed to annoy him more.

"Shut up." "It was fine I guess." I shrugged. "Tomorrow is your first day of training, I expect the best from you so no holding back." Levi walked away again before I could say anything.

Well goodnight to you too..(?)

I made it back to my room and put my clothes in a basket and lied down in bed, looking at the ceiling. I turned my head over so I could see the clock.

Eight at night already?

Sitting up and looking out of my window, I listened to the wind quietly blow by. It was a rather soothing sound to hear.

Time Skip

"Why can't I sleep?!" I whispered to myself. I groaned, rolling off my bed. I didn't even bother to try and catch myself before I smacked down on the hard wooden surface.

I landed on my face with a loud thud. "I don't care if it's almost morning, I just want to sleep!" I whined.

I guess I could fall asleep if I knock myself out-wait what am I thinking?!

I got up off the floor and sat on my bed again.

Knocking myself out to fall asleep? Pft, that's funny.

I looked out of my window and saw the vibrant rays of oranges, pinks and blues in the sky.

Dammit, it's dawn already?

I sighed, getting out of bed and changing into my uniform. I brushed through my (h/l) (h/c) hair before heading down the hall for breakfast.
