Chapter 9 - Tea Time

(A/N: The aesthetic above was created by Phantasmagoria00 so thank you for creating this for my OC! Now, on with the story!)
Mira's POV
After that conversation with Richter about me being a vampire and being the last descendant of the First Bloods, I was at a loss for words and I still have some unanswered questions that needed answering.

All was well after that, with the brothers being themselves and Yui being snobby and pathetic. We got back to the mansion and the first thing I did was go back to my room. I sat down on my bed and thought about the events that happened. Before my mind was going to be filled with more about that, I heard a knock at my door and got up to answer it.

There stood Reiji and he was holding a tray with two cups of tea and a plate with custard cream biscuits.
"I know this is sudden, but would you like to have tea with me? I also want to discuss something with you," Reiji said. What does he want to talk about? We'll see.
"Of course, Reiji," I replied.

We got to his room and I must say, it's a sight to behold.

I admired his bedroom for a minute before taking a seat.
"Mira-san, I know that you are curious about why I wish to talk to you but before you do, have some tea," he said before handing me a china cup filled with the tea. I smelled the aroma, only to slightly scrunch up my nose at something which smelt off and unlike the various tea I've tasted before.
"Sorry Reiji, but I won't be drinking this cup," I told him in bluntness.
"Oh? And why not?" He looked disappointed when he was actually amused by my question, just his way of hiding it I suppose.
"You laced something in my tea, because it smells odd and unlike the various flavours I've tried in the past. What did you put in it may I ask?"
"Perceptive one aren't you? I laced it with a potion I'm working on. The potion I'm making makes the drinker not feel pain when hit or injured and this was my seventh attempt at perfecting it. I guess I'll have to test it on Yui."

Reiji gave me another cup of tea, this time without the potion, and I took a sip. It was delicious!😋 This is also my favourite one. Rooibos tea. It's said to be good for the bones and lowers the level of inflammation and cell toxicity in the body.

After I finished drinking my tea, I took a biscuit and ate it. Reiji also finished his tea and put his teacup down.
"Now we'll get on with what I want to talk to you about. I've noticed that you've been feeling shaken up from something. Is there something that's going on with you?" Oh no, this is not good. If I tell him, it will be asking for trouble. Huge trouble. I have to lie about this.
"No it's nothing to worry about. I've just been having a lot of stress from all the schoolwork."
"Very well. But I can sense that something is going on with you. If you have any problems you can come to me and talk. Usually I don't do these kinds of things, but you're an exception."
"Alright Reiji. Hey I also want to ask you something," I need to know about this.
"What is it, Mira-san?"
"Please just call me Mira. Anyway, do you know something about the medical warden in our school?"

When I asked this question, Reiji tensed slightly and his pupils dilated.
"Only that his name is Reinhardt. Why do you ask?"
"There is something about him that is familiar, yet I don't know what it is. When I was in the medical room, he introduced himself to me and when I looked into his eyes...I don't know why but I felt like I've seen him before. His voice sounded familiar, because I felt I've heard that voice before." Reiji looked kind of perplexed at my answer, and judging by his reaction, he was not expecting me to say something like this.
"Hmm, well if you ever see him again, try to avoid him," he said. Surely he should know more about this man than me. I guess I'll find more about that later.
"Alright. Thanks for telling me anyway."

I was looking at the various things in his room when I sensed Reiji going to the window and looking out. I wonder what's on his mind. I stood up and went to stand next to him, but before I could, I was pushed into the wall by him. It shocked me slightly since it was unexpected, but once I looked into his eyes...I felt danger. He was breathing rapidly and his eyes glowed a vivid red. Could he be thirsty? It's likely.

All of a sudden, Reiji grabbed a hold of my wrists and pinned them above my head with one hand, and the other held my neck. I didn't feel scared and just let him, knowing that trying to escape from him would be pointless due to his super strength.

He slowly approached my neck and licked it before sinking his fangs into me.

Reiji's POV
Her blood...it's so good. So exquisite, thick and filling my stomach. It's unlike any other blood I've tasted before and is better than Yui's. She was close to loosing her ability to stand as she almost fell down if not for me holding her up.

It was so hard to resist, I pulled Mira closer to me by her waist to get more out of her. She responded with her left arm wrapped across my back and her right hand in my hair.

(A/N: MikaYuu shippers anyone? ❤️😘 Just using the picture to show Reiji and Mira's position.)

I stopped drinking her blood, to find her eyes closed and breathing softly. What am I feeling inside? This shouldn't be happening. Why am I falling for her? And what's so special about her, other than her blood? She's also hiding something from me, but what? I guess time will tell.

Richter's POV
Not long until the awakening. There must be a way to stop Cordelia and kill her. Having told Mira the truth about her heritage at an early date, I knew I had to tell her sooner or she will keep thinking her life was worth nothing. Mira deserves better, and he should be nowhere near her.

Mira's POV
I woke up in my bed and to a warm towel on my forehead. I sighed while getting up, finding a carton of cranberry juice and what looked to be a slice of strawberry cake next to it. I wonder who left this for me. Nevermind.

I ate the cake and drank the juice and got changed into something more comfortable.

After I got changed, I decided to venture to the back garden and pick some white roses for the vase next to my bed.

It was a dark, cold but peaceful night with the almost-full moon shining brightly in the clear sky. Not a cloud in sight. The moonlight made the white roses glow a brighter shade and added flair to its natural beauty. They were perfect, so I pulled out my gardening pliers and the thorn remover tool so I don't prick my finger and leak blood. That would be stupid of me.
(A/N: Smart Mira!)

I cut some white roses and removed the thorns, then bundled them together with a rubber band so I don't loose them. Them smelled great and will make my room smell nice too.

Out of nowhere, a bat flew past me and rose up to where the moon is, casting a shadow above me. The bat then came closer to me and perched on my shoulder. Bats are adorable, but knowing how to handle one is important, since I was left in a room full of bats and birds while covered in bird seed and a mixture of something else as punishment by Seiji. This caused them to bite and scratch me, but after getting used to it, I somehow was able to handle them a lot better. Surprisingly.

The bat was a young one and rubbed its furry face against my face, which was adorable, then perched onto my head. Probably the bat wanted to be with me, so I allowed it.

I walked back inside with the bouquet, only to get run over by...Yui. The bouquet dropped from my hand and some of the petals scattered to the floor.
"Hey! Watch where you're going you brat!" yelled Yui.
"I'm sorry, Yui," At this moment in time, I didn't want to talk to her, so I walked away after I said that. But being the persistent girl she is, she decided to take the bouquet I made and rip the petals right off the stems to try and get me angry. It did, but I hid it so as to not do something I'll regret. She then stomped on what was left of my bouquet and was about to grab me, but the bat on top of my head had plans for that. The bat flew off my head and went to attack Yui by scratching her face and messing up her hair, also plucking a few strands off her head. I guess payback for ripping up the petals of my white roses.

She screamed until she just passed out and fell on the floor. I called the bat over and it flew on my head. I decided to use the scattered petals for my bubble bath since I didn't want to waste it. I left Yui behind and just walked away like nothing happened.

(A/N: Hey guys! It's been a while since I updated. Just to let you all know that the poll for my next story will still be up and running, and I will announce the top vote made by you in another 2 weeks! Thank you and stay tuned for the next chapter!)
