Mira's POV
I was working on my project during free period and I wasn't alone. Shu said he was bored and wanted me to give him a head massage whilst lying down, having his head in my lap, so I complied. Tonight's going to be an interesting one and I have a feeling it's going to involve Yui, but also someone else. I can feel it.

After I was done with writing more notes, I told Shu I'm going to get something to eat and asked if he wants anything. He made a 'no' gesture. I went to the direction of the cafeteria until I found Yui reaching for a telephone. Trying to call her father perhaps.

Unfortunately, Yui had to see me and gave me a smirk for finding the telephone, unknown to the fact that it doesn't work. This should be entertaining. Yui began dialling the number until Kanato appeared,
"K-Kanato! I didn't know you were still here..." *sigh* He just showed up now you idiot.
"Of course I am Yui, you act so surprised, but you must know I waited for you," So true. I decided to make my appearance at the conversation.
"Hello Kanato and Teddy," I said.
"Ah hello Mira and Haku," he said with his adorable close-eyed smile.
"Umm, i-is there something you want from me Kanato," asked Yui and, seriously, this fake stutter is really starting to give me a freaking headache and close to doing something else to her, but I held back because of others walking by us.
"I am thirsty and so is Teddy. Tell me the truth Teddy, what do you think of this insensitive girl?"
"I-I'm very sorry~ Oh- I'll go out and buy you a drink. Do you think you could forgive me, Teddy?" Seriously? 😑
Mira's reaction:

"Would you kindly refrain from addressing Teddy as if you know him! Only Mira knows him and so does Haku! They get to call him that!" Oh she's in for it...soon...
"I'm sorry I wasn't aware of that, anyway hang on a sec I will be right back," she said then went off to the cafeteria.
"Here, Kanato," I said, showing my exposed wrist to him.
"Mira are you sure, because I love sweet things and your blood being sweeter than that other one's means I won't be able to control myself," he said with worry laced in his voice which made me curious but I didn't push it.
"You need to drink blood to live and I know that you are thirsty for it, so please drink."

He wasted no time in grabbing my arm and sniffing my wrist before biting into it, sucking the blood out of it. He gasped in wonder at how irresistible the taste was and tried to take as much as he can, not wasting a single drop. I moaned slightly at the sensation until, much to my confusion, my eyes began to close already.

As soon as I blinked, I was surrounded in pure darkness, hearing the sounds of rain, thunder and lightning flashing into my eyes to reveal something - more like someone - in the distance.

3rd Person's POV
Kanato was drinking Mira's blood until she collapsed in his arms. He was confused and felt...worried for some reason. The fact that he only drank about 3 gulps from her wrist couldn't immediately make her faint, which begs the question of what could make her faint all of a sudden. Kanato placed Teddy and Haku on the small table with the telephone, and carried Mira like one would carry a baby before teleporting to the medical room. Also not forgetting to retrieve Teddy and Haku.

Mira's POV
"Who are you?" I asked. The person didn't reply, but began to move towards me. They were blurry from a distance, but the person's figure is that of a male's.

The figure got closer and closer until he was about a metre away from me and as soon as my eyes laid on his, I felt a strong pounding in my heart, but not to the point where I felt pain. The pounding was somewhat of a good sensation.

The male looked to be from high status, based on the clothes he was wearing which composed of a black outfit with black ropes, black boots, black gloves and an earring on his left ear. His hair was a dark green which was long as the ends were tucked inside his top and his eyes a wine red.
"Who are you?" I asked again. The male finally replied with,
"My name is Richter Sakamaki."

3rd Person's POV
Yui came back with a coffee and this didn't please Kanato one bit. When she was about to give the coffee to him, Kanato knocked it out of his way whilst holding Teddy and Haku. Kanato was angry and wanted to tell at her for bringing a bitter drink instead of a sweet one, but he has Haku and should bring her back to Mira, not forgetting her bag. Yui stood there in shock before she became furious at how Mira got the attention of the brothers. Yui went for her own bag which was supposed to be on the table, but couldn't find it. But because Kanato was gone, she couldn't ask him where it is.

Mira's POV
So that's how it is. This man Richter said he is the Sakamaki brothers' uncle and he knows of what's to come for Yui, which confirmed the prediction I made earlier. He then told me that he knows about my past, which got me thinking; what was his role in my past and was he someone I used to know?
"If you are wondering why I'm telling you this, it's because your future will be decided upon Yui's fate," he said. This got me thinking hard.
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"Yui has the heart of my brother's 1st wife, and once the awakening begins, Yui will no longer reside in her own flesh, but she will," he explained into my ear.
"Who is she?" I asked. He said with what looked to be hate in his eyes...
"Cordelia."

Now I was hungry for answers.
"What do you mean by my future being decided by Yui's fate?"
His eyes softened and then said,
"I tricked Cordelia into believing that I loved her and that I would do anything for her, when actually I was using her to save you from your imminent death. Before Cordelia was dead, she wanted to do whatever it takes to kill you, but she failed when I told her sons, the triplets, to kill her if they wish since she treated them poorly. I knew they would try to make her suffer. Before she was going to die, she asked that I remove her heart and place it in another body so that she would return in that body. I did so without question. I couldn't dispose of the heart, because destroying the heart of the daughter of the Demon King meant years of eternal suffering, so I had to find a host, which was Yui, so that one day Cordelia will awaken and be killed another way."
I was shocked at what he said. Richter smiled at me and came towards me. He took me by surprise when he pulled me into a hug. I hugged him back, unsure of why he is hugging me.
"Mira, you are a vampire. Your vampire side was locked so you wouldn't be found by Cordelia before she tried to find you and kill you herself. The reason why is because, you are the long lost daughter of Giesbach and Krone Tsukinami; you are the last descendant of the First Bloods."

I gasped and awoke from what happened in that dark abyss. After all the information being told by Richter, I was having mixed emotions. Me, a vampire and the last descendant of the First Bloods. If Richter knows about all this, then his brother should know as well. But who is his brother?

I was staring at the ceiling in thought for 5 minutes, so I got up and looked to find myself in the medical room, until I was met with a pounding headache. Before I could get up, I was met with...

(A/N: Oooh cliffhanger! Hey guys! I understand that many of you were expecting a chapter a while ago during the holidays till now, so I'm sorry for not updating sooner. The reason I didn't is because I've been trying to get back on top with my mental state and to live with the fact that I have rheumatoid arthritis which affects my walking and experience varying levels of pain 24/7. I've been having this problem since last year and it's getting worse, making it harder to walk, and it does make me feel depressed; it being one of the symptoms. Again I'm sorry for not updating sooner since the state of my mental health isn't good at the moment. But thank you so much to those who posted comments about this book.
