Debates in your English class was one of the things that was on your list of things that you specifically and intentionally tried to avoid all the time. Unfortunately, a speech was apart of your final grade, and you certainly didn't want to fail your class.

You were alright with the thought of it, but being paired up with someone to go against wasn't ideal. Especially because of the fact that you were with another one of the popular people who believed anything they said was right.

There you were, though. Standing in the front of the class while you attempted to persuade the entire class to get on your side of things. However, when a majority of people voted for your opponent, you could already feel your grade dropping.

You were about to go back to your seat before another voice spoke up. ❝I-I think y/n's right. She has a point on her side argument. I, uh, think she should win.❞

Turning around, you were met with the sight of Peter Parker giving you a small smile.

After class, you managed to catch him in the hallway before he left school for the day. You struck up a conversation with him, thanking him for getting the class to change your side.

❝Would you maybe want to go out for some ice cream or something? O-only if you want to..❞ Peter trailed off, scratching the back of his neck.

❝I'd love to, Peter.❞
