Your night had been a complete mess. At first, your homecoming night was perfect, but then came Peter Parker's regularly scheduled mysterious disappearance. He left you with no explanation whatsoever, standing in the gym all alone.

When you passed through the school's front doors, everything overwhelmed you. There wasn't even an ounce of desire in your body to be in the building. Seeing Peter by your locker, waiting for you, was the last thing you wanted to see.

He gave you a small smile, guilt entirely evident. There was no way you could face him right now. He's the person you liked, and there was no way you could brush your homecoming night off like a math quiz.

You tried walking past him, but he stopped you by lightly taking your hand in his. ❝y/n I'm so sorry Iー❞

Delicately pulling your hand away from his, you spoke with tear-filled eyes. ❝I really don't want to talk right now, Peter.❞

You hesitated to leave, but you did. You could feel your heart shatter into pieces.
