Tom stood on the red carpet, nervously adjusting his sleeves and conversing with a crowd of people he had found there. His foot was rhythmically tapping on the ground, eyes looking around for any sign of you.

Not on the left, not onーthere you were. Tom let out a sigh of relief, turning his entire body towards you with a smile appearing on his lips. His fidgeting immediately stopped, gracefully walking over to where you were with open arms. ❝You look absolutely beautiful, y/n.❞

You gladly accepted his embrace, missing the feeling of his arms around you. ❝I'm so glad you're here. I missed you. Probably more than you know,❞ Tom smiled at your words, completely filling his heart with love.

A moment of comfortable silence fell upon the two of you. It seemed like something out of a cheesy romcom, in Tom's head. His hand carefully moved to the side of your face, caressing the soft skin under his fingers.

It had been quite a long time since the two of you had seen each other, about three months, and everything felt new; despite your year-old relationship. Long distance really took a toll on both of you. ❝I love you. I really, really do.❞

Tom took the chance to lean in and softly press his lips to yours. You both could feel the other's lips curve into a smile. Your hand carefully clasped over his wrist, not wanting his comfort to leave your presence again.
