Tom knew that you were watching his interview from wherever you were,  causing him to do as many facial expressions and actions that he knew you secretly loved.

Your laptop was sat on your duvet, Tom on the screen indeed. The college homework was all spread out over your bed, needing a little break from your responsibilities.
