CHAPTER EIGHT.

"every moment we spend turning from friends to enemies"

little mix — "monster in me"

As soon as I hear those words my heart speeds up affected uncontrollably by them. My lips fight to let out a smile, urged to show a reaction, but me biting the inside of my cheek prevents it. This time, it does feels like I'm being able to control myself and brush it away. Not wanting it to affect my body like Lucifer always and strangely manages to do. I'm not gonna let him see the affection he's having on me, ever again.

I roll my eyes still going with my quick walk towards my dorm. "You just told me to fuck off," I say "that's what I'm doing. You should do it too, you know, like I told you."

I hear a chuckle coming from him. "I thought you didn't do what people told you."

"Well, if you tell me to walk away from your annoying ass then I will. Can't argue with that."

"You? Not arguing about something? That's news."

"There's a first for everything."

"You know," he says getting the motorcycle closer to my body "I won't stop following you until we get to your dorm. You're not getting rid of me. So isn't going to be easier for you if you get on and end this walk faster?"

"No." I quickly reply. "You leaving me is gonna make it easier, this walk enjoyable."

"I already told you I can't do that."

"I can handle myself."

"I know that." He nods tilting his head to the side as a chuckle comes out of his mouth. "You wanting to fight that asshole just because he said that I had to control you told me that."

"Then why don't you leave me alone?" I ask. The annoyance on my chest is becoming bigger the more seconds pass. I really want to end this walk but my brain doesn't want to give in, even if my hurting feet are screaming to get on the motorcycle with Lucifer.

"Because that situation also told me that you would fight someone that's ten times bigger than just because he told you to keep your mouth shut. And I don't think that's such a great idea."

"Oh, you're the guy that knows which idea is good and which one is bad now? Good to know." I add sarcastically, rolling my eyes.

"I know that if you see him again, you're gonna fight him."

"I'm not. And why do you think I'm gonna see him again? He's gone."

Lucifer doesn't reply immediately. His silent makes me turn my head to face him, and even if the poor light of the street doesn't give me the chance to see his expression in detail, I notice the same one in his face from when he was worried about me being there with Damian. The same strange sparkle on his eyes, seeing something that he doesn't want to. "And if you do," he continues like normal. Like he just pushed that unwanted thought aside. He's trying to ignore his brain by keeping the conversation going with me. And annoy me in the process. "I wanna be there."

"Why?"

"To kick his ass with you."

"I can kick that asshole's ass by myself, thank you very much."

"I know that too. You literally threw a football at me just because I was gonna steal the milk."

I let out a loud laugh as the memory of his body falling to the floor by my perfect shot comes back to my head. "Oh, yeah—" I nod wanting to keep that funny memory playing like a movie a little bit longer when a hear a thunder going above my head. I immediately look up erasing the smile on my head. Really, universe? Now? "Fuck."

And double fuck.

"The motorcycle is looking pretty good right now, isn't it?" I can feel the smirk on his face even if I'm not looking at him, his proud eyes staring at my annoyed self. Lucifer is enjoying this to much and I despise it with every vein inside my body.

Letting out a sigh as I close my eyes, my mouth already feels the annoyance from the words that are about to come out of mouth.

"Just because it's about to rain." Lucifer immediately lets out a proud chuckle before stopping his motorcycle and handing me his extra helmet right when I stop my walk as well.

When I sit down behind him, my hands immediately want to grab his body and secure myself from falling. Do I want to see him nervous again because of my hands? Or my pride is going to win the fight since I don't want to do anything with him? "I'm not grabbing your waist." I let out.

Yeah, my pride always wins.

"Don't be stupid—" He says turning his head to the side to see me.

"I like being stupid." I reply quickly shrugging my shoulders. Before I can move my hands backwards and hold myself to the end of the motorcycle, with quick hands, Lucifer grabs mine and places them around his waist and presses my body against his.

"C'mon, is not like you haven't done it already." He says and I see the smirk becoming bigger on his face. "And you loved it."

As if.

"I loved making you nervous."

"I don't get nervous." He replies even more quicker, defensively.

"Yeah?" I lean closer to his head and let my chin rest on his shoulders. Forcing a long breath out, wanting his skin to feel the air hit it and shiver under it, I move my waist closer to Lucifer's to feel his body on my inner thighs. Moving them tightly into him just like the time he took me to the festival, like I had expected then and, of course, now, the tension and the nerves quickly grow on him. His heavy chest and his hands strongly grabbing the handle of his motorcycle gives it away even if the smirk on his face is trying to say something completely different. "Sure, if that makes you sleep at night." I say softly against his ear.

Lucifer lets out a grin and turns his head to the road. "Believe me, this will, love." He teasingly says before starting his motorcycle and gaining the thick air on my face.

I'm enjoying the ride, I have to honest. The wind blowing around me, the mix of coldness because of it and the hotness of our bodies against each other. The sound of the motorcycle giving me that feeling of rush in my chest that I completely and desperately love. Lucifer drives it with so much ease and experience that, I don't like to admit, but can't help and find extremely attractive. His hands move around it like he's been doing it for most of his life, and his body is relaxed in front of me as if I wasn't touching his body closer like I never did before.

Tilting my head to the side to see his left hand grabbing the handle my eyes love it. Fuck— The strong but yet, gentle grip on it makes my heart skip a beat. The veins showing, his tattoos and the rings around his index and ring finger make him look even more desirable.

I want that hand around my throat.

Oh, shit.

Hold on. What was that?

I shake my head slightly erasing that thought out of my head, wanting to see the words flying out like a cartoon. I have to remember that I hate him, I can't have those type of thoughts right now.

Control yourself, Lilith.

For a couple of minutes I close my eyes letting my forehead rest on his back. Gently, I move my body even closer to his, don't know why, but I did. I can feel his back relaxing even more under my touch and his breathing going normally on his chest as my hands rest against him. Resting the side of my head on his back, I open my eyes to see the street moving with speed. The scenery is beautiful, like a painting but in motion. I want to close my eyes again, get lost in the drive, when I notice that just for a second, Lucifer's head turns to the side like he's looking at me behind him.

It doesn't last long, he goes back to the road in front of him needing to have his eyes located to where he's going. I don't give it much importance, though, maybe he had to check if some cars were coming. He was looking at the road. Not me. Honestly, I don't know shit about motorcycles and anything that I could think of could be wrong.

But I catch him again.

He moves his head to the side and this time, I notice his eyes on me as my head's resting on his back. It was so quick that I have to stop and replay the moment in my head to check if I'm not imagining it, but when I do, my head doesn't see anything else.

A couple of minutes pass and he does it again, this time, he stays longer looking at me. Sending a tiny grin to my lips I find myself smiling at the idea of him liking me in this position.

When I see the long and shiny black doors of my university, I look up and strengthen my back ready to get out the motorcycle and walk to my dorm to see my beautiful and comfy bed who is waiting for me to hug it and never let go. The sound of the engine stops and I immediately step off taking the helmet out of my head, leaving it on top of the seat. I'm about to open my mouth to say goodbye when Lucifer also steps out of his motorcycle.

"What are you doing?" I ask but he shrugs his shoulders, without stopping his walk towards the school.

"I told you, I'm taking you to your dorm."

"It's filled with people, I'm gonna be fine." I reply staying in my place waiting for him to come back, but he doesn't even turn around to face me. "Lucifer!" I yell following him inside.

"I'm not leaving you alone."

"Why? You didn't took me to my dorm the first night you brought me here, what changed then?" I arrive by his side but he just stays quiet, looking ahead while a grin is on his lips. I don't know why he's acting so strange this night, everything was normal at the party but when Damian and his group showed up everything changed in him. What is that about? What's so dangerous that he has to accompany me everywhere? "Why is it when I ask the important questions you always shut up? I can't stand that!" I let out looking forward keeping up with his quick walk. "You always have something to say but when it comes to real shit you shut the fuck up!" I'm talking without thinking but it's too late for me to stop, my brain has already decided to let it out and I knowing myself pretty well, it's not gonna work if I try to stop it. "You act like you're this mature man that has it all figured out, but then, you turn into the biggest asshole ever!" When I turn to him to see if my words had some type of affect in him, instead of seeing any of what could possible be annoyance, I see a smile on his lips as he's slowly shaking his head. "What are you smiling about?" I ask annoyed.

He lets out a soft chuckle and a side smile. "Doesn't that make you remember someone?"

"Who?" I ask having no idea what he's talking about but he doesn't answered.  He just stays with his eyes glued to mine, and like times before, my heart speeds up and the noise around us disappear.

Fuck.

"Are you hungry?"  His question takes me off guard.

"What— Uh, I guess, yeah, I could eat." I reply shrugging my shoulders as I'm trying to process why he changed the subject so fast.

There is definitely something going on and I want to know what it is.

I always get what I want.

He smiles and then changes directions to the opposite direction. "Where are you going?"

Lucifer turns around as he doesn't stop with his walk, hands on his pockets. Pointing to the side with his head, I see from a far how a grin shines on his face. "To the dining hall."

"Buddy," I say following him "I think you hit your head or something because you forgot it is 3 am right now and it just closed." He turns to me once again, but this time, instead of moving his head he grabs something from his back pocket. His smile grows even bigger when he waves a tiny key. I just stare at him confused.

"I have the key to one of the doors."

In my most strange dreams I think I had the key to the dining hall. Why does Lucifer have it?

"Why do you have the key to the dining hall?"

"I know one of the ladies that works here very well, that's all." The tone of his voice makes an immediate thought appear in my head.

A try my best to erase it when I arrive by his side, but when his smirk doesn't disappear from his lips I find myself asking before I can think my words. "Did you fuck the lunch lady?"

As soon as I say those words, Lucifer turns his head to me. His tongue gets twisted inside his mouth not being able to let out a word. I let out a tiny laugh seeing him struggle and confused at my question. But eventually, he pulls himself together and asks, loudly: "What?! Why would you think that?!"

"You said it like that and it made me wonder!" He doesn't reply. That makes my thought even more believable. "Did you?!"

"No! She's just an old friend!" I let out another laugh as I shake my head.

"Being an 'old friend' doesn't necessarily take away the fact of me thinking you fucked her."

"I didn't fuck her!"

"Alright then— she sucked your dick?" He quickly turns to me, surprised at my words. "No, but why would she suck your dick and give you the key? She didn't gain anything." I reply to my own question. "Oh! I got it—"

"I didn't do anything to her!" Lucifer immediately cuts me off.

"I don't believe you!"

"Can't you just understand that she just gave me the key because she's a nice human being and I've known her for a long time?"

"Dude, she gave you the key of the dining hall! Nobody's that nice! Admit it," I point at him "you touched the lunch lady's private parts!"

He lifts an eyebrow and lets out a chuckle. "Private parts?"

"I don't want to talk dirty about the lunch lady! I'm not you!"

"I didn't do anything to her!"

"Aha!" I yell. "You did something with her!"

"No!"

"C'mon—!"

He immediately grabs my head and takes my forehead to his lips, I open my eyes wide but I can't let go of his hands around my head. "Does everything have to be dirty in there?!" He says like he's talking to everything that's inside of it.

I slap his hands away but he doesn't let go, instead, he starts to shake it. "Lucifer! What the hell are you doing?!"

"It seems that your thoughts are all wrong!"

"Fuck off!" I slap him again and this time, he does stop and lets go of my head. Fucking finally. I look at him annoyed but he just smiles. "Did you have to do that?"

"I did it for your own sanity. Now, c'mon, close that pretty mouth of yours and follow me. I'm hungry."

Pretty mouth my ass— No wait, I do have a pretty mouth. I'll take it.

The tree that I always see when I turn to go to my dorm after leaving the dining hall appears in front of me, I change my walk quickly not caring about Lucifer. "What are you doing?" His voice sounds from behind me.

"I'm not coming to the dining hall with you." I say shrugging my shoulders without stopping.

"Why not?!"

"The desire of killing you didn't fade away from my body, you know?"

"Then what a better way to kill me where there's no eyes?!" His cockiness makes my veins boil.

He isn't wrong, though. It's a perfect opportunity and my crime knowledge knows that. But it's too easy... What am I even thinking at this point?

I let out a tiny laugh at my own thought but when Lucifer stops my walk by placing his body in front of me. The smile completely disappears from my face. "How's this? Just for tonight, we stop doing whatever the fuck we're doing, fight, flirt, you dying when I touch you," I'm about to open my mouth to contradict him but he stops me by talking again "and we're just two friends that are hungry and saw this little opportunity so they took it. Deal?" He hands me his hand to shake but I just cross my arms around my chest.

"Friends?"

"Yeah, why not?" He nods. "Aren't you the type to take risks?"

"Being your friend would be the biggest risk of them all, because... you know, I still hate you."

"Me too. So, deal?"

I look down to his hand and I stare at him for a while. I didn't feel it before but I am, indeed, very hungry. I bowl of cereal wouldn't hurt me and I still have time to get a good night sleep. It isn't gonna hurt me to handle Lucifer a couple of more minutes, right?

What could possibly go wrong?

"Deal." I immediately grab his hand to shake it. Before I can move it away and let go, I see a smile appear on his face as he pushes me with him towards the dining hall, still with our hands wrapped together. "Lucifer, let go of my fucking hand." I say as soon as I notice that he doesn't have the intention to let it go. I look up at his face to see an even bigger smile on his lips— that isn't a good sign.

Lucifer moves the arm with the hand that's holding mine and wraps it around my shoulders, still, without letting go of my hand. His movements were quicker than the wind that I couldn't let out a word or even stop him from doing it.

"What are you doing?!" I ask looking at his face, closer to mine now that his arm is around my shoulders.

"Friends do this all the time!" He defends himself as a big smile is on his lips, clearly enjoying that I don't like it.

"No they don't!"

"Do you do it with Ada?"

"I— it's different! I've known her for a long time."

"Lilith, right now we're in a hypothetical situation where we're both friends, so, I decide now that we've known each other for a long time. Whatever time you think is alright for us to do this. You pick."

I roll my eyes when he stops looking at me and goes to the black door of the dining hall. "You're unbelievable." I let out softly as a whisper, but he still hears it over the wind.

"Thank you."

He grabs the key with his other hand and with a smile, opens the door with just a quick movement of his wrist. As the door is opening with a loud and acute sound, like a haunted house in a horror movie, we make our way inside into the long and dark dining hall where I had most of my breakdowns because of finals.

While Lucifer's looking for the switch to turn on the lights my eyes locate his hand holding mine besides my head, but what causes me to slightly open my eyes at the surprise, are his fingers slowly moving gently caressing my skin. I don't know if he's doing it on purpose or if it's because he's too focused on looking for the right switch that he doesn't notice he's doing it, either way, my heart under it doesn't care if it's intentional or not, it's still speeding faster than normal.

I look away trying to erase the other thought that just appeared on my head... our hangs, somehow while they're wrapped, fit with each other just perfectly.

"Fucking finally! There!" He yells snapping me out of trance and a second later, the dining hall is no longer dark.

I have to squint my eyes a little since the change of light is sudden. When I locate the cereal box in the table every bad feeling on my eyes or thought in my head is completely gone. The cereal in front of me is the only thing now in my mind.

"I've never seen the cereal boxes so full!" I say loudly as I let go of Lucifer's hand and I walk towards it. "This is like heaven to me." I grab a bowl and start to pour cereal into it.

"Heaven? The disrespect." He says and I let out a tiny laugh. He proceeds to grab another bowl and pour for himself some cereal. I walk a couple of steps and look over to the milk, where the table is completely full of it.

"Enough milk for both of us." I say when Lucifer stands by my side.

"See? This is working perfectly." He says when he starts to walk to the milk with a smile on his face. "I don't want to kill you right now."

"Oh, no—" I shake my head following him "I still want to kill you."

"Well, here's a spoon for you to do it." He hands me the utensil and I point at him with it.

"Don't underestimate a girl who's seen a million of documentaries about serial killers. I can totally do it with this."

As I grab the milk for my cereal pouring the perfect amount of it,  Lucifer grabs the spoon and pretends to stab himself with it.

"What are you doing?" I ask lifting an eyebrow. "Don't do my job."

"Is killing me going to give you joy?"

"Yes."

He opens his mouth offended. "You didn't even hesitate!"

"Why are you surprised?"

"I wasn't expecting that quick of an answer! Now—" he points at me with the spoon "I have to do this!" He quickly takes it to my stomach and touches with it. I stare at him, confused. "You're such a wonderful actress." He adds sarcastically.

I take the spoon from his hand as I roll my eyes. "Give me that."

"You were right, it did give me joy killing you."

"See!" I point at him with the spoon. "It does!"

We both take our bowls and Lucifer stares at me with his lifted into the air. "Cheers." We gently touch each other's as we both smile like little kids ready to eat their favorite meal.

The first spoon into my mouth feels like heaven. Nothing like having your favourite snack after a long day, it trully feels like nothing could go wrong. The only sound we can hear is the soft wind blowing around the building. Relaxing as a Sunday morning after a good night sleep. But, this could've been more relaxing if I didn't have what happened moments earlier in my head still running around on and on.

First his hand on my body and my inability to control myself under him. I've never felt like that before and knowing that he has that kind of power over me eats my brain and makes me have a wave of hatred towards him, never wanting to experience that again. I need to have my come back and be the normal Lilith he knows, not letting him think that he has the upper hand over me. But tonight, this moment isn't it. Specially since we made the deal to be "friends."

Most importantly, because right now I want to know more about Damian and the whole story behind him and his group. It's obvious that Lucifer and the guys don't get along with them, but as far as my eyes saw, it isn't some childish rivalry like everyone has on high school, at least not to them. To me it is and I can't understand it, that's why I want to find out more.

Why did he got so serious when he asked me to go to his apartment? He truly was worried, like I've never seen him before.

Why?

Maybe this is the opportunity that I was looking for and I can get more information, it's just us.

"It's quiet." He says softly placing his bowl down. "Maybe me shaking your head did work after all, I've never seen you this quiet."

"Lucifer," I call his name making him face me "if I ask you something, are you gonna answer me?"

"Depends on what it is." He shrugs is shoulders.

"Why don't you want Ada to be involve with Ryker?" I ask before I can think my words. My question did caught Lucifer off guard, but he immediately brushes his surprise away and slowly shakes his head.

"It's more complicated than 'I don't want to.'"

"Then what is it?"

"I told you, I can't say."

"Why not?"

He lets out a tiny sigh and rests his waist on the end of the table, still with his eyes glued on mine. "Because it involves more people than just me, and talking about it it becomes more dangerous for the people in it."

"Who?"

He doesn't answer immediately. He just stands there with a little sparkle in his eyes looking at me. He does a quick look to my lips but then proceeds to stare at the deep of my eyes. I can notice the hundred of words those green eyes are trying to say to me, but there are just nonsense in my head. I can't seem to know how to understand it.

The silence feels like it's going to last forever... he's not gonna answer, is he?

"I can't." He finally says, softly.

"Does it have to do with Damian?" I ask in the same tone.

"Not just him, or even him... it's what he represents."

"And what does he represent?"

"A group of bad, bad people."

"His boxing group?" He slowly nods. "Did they do something? Something bad?"

"It happened a long time ago, something that... hurt a lot of people. A lot. So we made a promise to never talk about it again and keep doing what we're doing: boxing."

"We made a promise? Who's we?"

He stays silent as he shakes his head and looks down, crossing his arms on his chest. "That's all I can say, Lilith." His whisper makes my skin slightly shiver under it. It's so soft and gentle that my ears want to hear it again, but he doesn't open his mouth after that.

He's being serious about the whole situation. I learned over the past years to see when someone's lying or even surfing away from the truth. I get that weird gut feeling on my chest as I stare into their eyes, but with Lucifer, I don't get any of that. Just my heart speeding faster and my eyes wondering around his face. He looks so soft that my fingertips are thinking for themselves when the need of touching him surrounds me, but the desire to see him weak under it doesn't come through my body, I just want to. I get weirded out by this that I slap myself on the inside, maybe it's the moonlight and the silence that surrounds us that makes me want to do that to him. I have to go back to my prior thoughts of wanting to kill him and my desire to yell at him to go fuck himself. Forget those unwanted and, probably not true (just getting affected by the situation), thoughts and feelings behind.

I control myself like I always do and place the bowl on the table as I turn to face the door. Maybe this isn't my opportunity to find out more after all.

"Maybe we should go." I say facing the door and starting my walk before I can hear Lucifer say anything back.

As soon as I'm about to lift my hand to open the door the sound of it closing and the shadow of a man on the other side of the door appears in front of me. Soon after, I hear two clicks and the man proceeds to leave seconds after, followed by a loud and uncomfortable sound.

"Who was that?" I ask confused, trying to process what just happened to the door.

"Fuck—" Lucifer says and quickly walks to the door with the intention to open it. He's agitated like he knows the situation means trouble, but I just stand silently trying to understand why. Lucifer tries to open the door but fails completely— Fuck, I understand now. "It's closed." He says. "He closed it."

"Well, open it again!"

"I can't."

"Why not?"

"See, the guy that just locked the door used two keys," Lucifer says turning to face me and places his hands on his waist "the one on top and the one on the bottom. And I, well, I don't have the one on the top."

"What?! Why not!?" I ask loudly as my heart speeds again.

"Gianna always told me they never use the top lock! This guy must be new or something!"

"Gianna? Who is Gianna?!"

"The lunch lady!"

"Fuck! Fuck! Fuck!" I grab my head frustrated. "This is all your fault!" I point at him and Lucifer opens his mouth offended.

"How is it my fault?!"

"We're here because it was your idea!"

"You followed me!"

"Ugh!" That sound makes my throat hurt but I don't care, I want to get out of here and I hate the fact that I can't because of him. I walk to the door to start banging on it while yelling as loud as I can: "Help! Help! Help!"

"Nobody is gonna hear you." He says behind me, more calmly.

"Help! Help! We're stuck in here! Help!"

"Lilith! You're sounding like a parrot!"

"Good! Because the guy shouldn't be too far! He's gonna hear the parrot screaming and come check it out! Help! Help!"

"Why would a parrot be in the dining hall?!"

"That's my point!"

The sound of the door is loud and annoying, I have to admit that, but I'm not gonna stop until someone comes here and opens the door. Suddenly the idea of spending the night in here with him disgusts me.

Bang after bang after bang. But still, nothing.

"Stop! Fuck, Lilith!" He grabs my hands with strength enabling me to continue banging. I try to let go but he's strong and manages to wrap my hands with his in a position where my brain can't figure out to get out. "He's not gonna hear you because I heard that he left on a motorcycle as soon as he locked the door!"

"Fuck!" I yell in his face which leads to him letting me go since he immediately takes his hand to his ears.

"How can you be so loud?!"

"I can be more louder!"

"Please don't!"

"Then open the fucking door!"

"I can't! What do you want me to do?!"

"Run towards it and break it with your head! Use that stupid big body of yours for something!"

"Are you trying to give me a concussion?!"

"No, but it will be a perk I have to admit!"

"We're stuck in here, get over it!"

"You suck!"

"You too!"

I don't reply to his yell. Instead, I roll my eyes frustrated and turn around. I have to sleep here and I'm not gonna do it uncomfortably. I walk to the closest long table and proceed to take the chairs that are on top of it. With quick noises I leave them on the floor and once I'm over and the table is free, I sit down on it followed by a very confused Lucifer. "What the hell are you doing?"

"I have an early class tomorrow so I need to sleep!" I rest my back on the table but as soon as Lucifer opens his mouth again, I sit down.

Apparently, he's not done arguing! Doesn't his mouth get tired of saying so many stupid things?!

"Are you serious? You literally went to a party tonight and you're telling me you have an early class tomorrow?!"

"Are you gonna tell me off, grandpa?! I wasn't gonna leave the party too late for your information!" I roll my eyes. Taking a deep breath out because I want to relax and once and for all, take at least a little nap before it's bright outside I lay down on the table. "Now, if you excuse me— I'm going to fucking sleep."

"Where am I going to sleep?" I hear Lucifer looking around but I just shrug my shoulders.

"I don't know and I don't care!"

I long annoyed sigh is let out by him as he's mumbling words under his breath. I hear him moving the chairs that I moved earlier to place them like a tiny bed and sleep on top of them. I close my eyes, as yet another long breath comes out of my mouth.

"Unbelievable." He says in a whisper but the silence surrounding us allows me to hear him perfectly.

"Thank you."

"Pick your own phrases!" I open my eyes to find him laying next to me on top of the chairs.

"That's not a fucking phrase you idiot!" I cross my arms on my chest and let out a long sigh, I hate that I'm in this situation and, even worst, with him. I could be in my bed right now enjoying the hotness of it and the soft pillow, but no, just because he had the amazing idea to go to the dining hall at three am in the morning I have to sleep on a table! Fuck him! At that point, even his breathing annoys me. "I hate you." I let out.

"Same here." He replies without hesitating.

"Could you stop breathing so loudly?!"

"What do you want me to do?! Stop brea— don't answer that.."

"That would be a great idea, Lucifer!"

"I told you to not answer that!"

"Like I would do what you tell me!"

"You're an annoying little kid, you know that?"

"And you're an asshole that breaths too loud!"

"Good one!" He says sarcastically but I don't respond. I just roll my eyes and close them, already feeling my body getting tired.

"Goodnight."

IS HE FOR REAL? His voice makes me open my eyes with speed and turn to face him, offended.

"Are you serious?!"

"Even if I hate you I still want you to have a good night! I don't want you to wake me up!"

"Ugh!" I turn around. "You better not snore!"

"Fuck you!"

"Fuck you too!"

And that, thankfully, was the only thing we both said before giving into the tiredness of our bodies.

Yeah.

That felt good.
