Victoria Midnight is the youngest (bastard) child of Lancelot Samael and Layla Midnight, the former Archangel and a master thief. She is also an elite warrior of the Goddess Clan but aligns herself with the Demon Clan as an unofficial member of the Ten Commandments. She claims to possess two personas: the exiled goddess & devil's sin of treachery, Delizah Samael, and the infinity commandment of subservience, Victoria Midnight.
Appearance
Delizah has long curly black hair that is tinted blue with slight electric blue streaks. Her bangs completely cover her right eye, but leave her left eye uncovered. She has electric blue and black eyes, leaving her blue eye uncovered. Her hair is usually in a high ponytail.
At first, she wears a greenish-grey cloak over a blue shirt-like jacket with a white (gold rimmed) button and a purple ribbon, along with a light greenish white turtleneck dress and black boots.
Later she wears a black jacket over a light greenish-white dress, black pants, black boots, a green jewel necklace, and purple earrings, with her hair down. Her scythes are chained to a hoop in the side of her pants.
Personality
Delizah is a very respectful girl, referring to the gang with titles like Lord, Lady, Sir and Princess (Elizabeth). She seems to have a temper, having little patience for Meliodas' perverted exploits. She becomes quite overprotective of Elizabeth after seeing with surprise that the two bear some resemblance, thinking of her like a younger sister. She feels heavily burdened by her sin, often keeping to herself and exuding a calm aura of gloom around her. Despite this however, she actively tries to persuade others not to get involved with her due to the nature of her sin.
On the other hand, Victoria is the secret weapon of the Demon King, possessing the Commandment of Subservience. She detests this side of her, seemingly winning to kill herself in order to be free from it. She absorbs the drawback of all of the Commandments (Impurity, Impatience, Hatred, Selfishness, Irreverence, Falsehood, Chaos, Impulse, Sadism and Comfort), believing her to be the scum of society. She views her humanity as the source of her downfall and sin, referring to herself as Victoria as a commandment versus Delizah as a sin.
History
Not much is known about Delizah's history but it is assumed that at some point her father was killed by a demon prince, leading her to want revenge and beg the Demon King surprisingly for power to do so. She was bestowed with the Commandment of Subservience and forced to swear loyalty to the Demon King and break down the Goddess Clan from the inside as a secret agent. While attempting to kill Lord Ludoshel, she was found and tried before the goddesses who learned of the Demon King's curse and so exiled her from the celestial realm. Furious at the proceedings, Delizah accidentally walks straight into a massacre by a familiar looking demon, frozen in fear.
Noticed by the demon, she is about to be killed by him, trying to run when he realizes that she hasn't been cursed by his commandment. Heavily confused, she is dragged into the depths of the demon realm and brought before the demon king, who explains the situation. He then introduces the boy as Meliodas, informing him that this was the recruit he had been talking about. Interested, Meliodas asks what her name is, backing her against the wall and relishing in her fear, as she stutters in fear that her name is Victoria, causing the Demon King to frown as she hadn't said that before, deciding to leave it be. He than tells Meliodas to introduce her to the rest of the Ten Commandments and for her to get acquainted with her new companions.
Working up the courage, she asks him what exactly the ten commandments were like as he ignores her deep in his thoughts. Annoyed she pesters him for an answer before appearing in front of him and forcing his face into a smile. Bewildered, he traps her, aiming a ball of darkness at her face and asking just what was her motive. Twitching in fear, she states that he seemed lost in thought and was wondering what he was thinking.
Surprised, he releases her, putting his face in his hands and giving out a surprised chuckle noting her idiocy as she yells in indignation that it wasn't funny. Sobering up, he reveals that she reminded him of someone, asking if she knew Lancelot Samael. Alerted, she slips into her dark Victorian persona, easily putting him at the mercy of her blade. She asks what it would mean if he did, bloodlust falling off her in waves as he cautiously glares at her, wondering just where had her carefree personality gone before stating that it was just a thought, meaning nothing by it.
Releasing him, she asks coldly if he was the reason why Lancelot died as he states that he was the reason, but didn't kill him, walking off and leaving her in surprise as she runs to catch up. They finally reach the room as he opens it, leading into a wide courtyard. Delizah marvels in awe as she watches the ten commandments drink to the success of their mission enjoying the cheerful air as Meliodas notes that she has changed back, a thirty foot tall beast right behind them.
Terrified, she hides behind Meliodas, who stiffens and tells her to calm down as it is dead, sighing in relief. Stepping out from his side, she is surprised to come face to face with Galan, who asks if the captain finally got himself a girlfriend that he denies, Galan unable to tell if he is lying or not since commandments don't affect each other.
Meliodas introduces her to Galan of Truth, who seemingly senses something off about her name but says nothing. He then calls the others to come before introducing her to Aranak of Patience, Zeno of Repose, Gowther of Selflessness, Derriere of Purity, Grayroad of Pacifism, Melascula of Faith and Monspeet of Reticence. Victoria greets them, bowing in respect as Aranak tells her to loosen up, stating she was almost as tense as Meliodas, tapping him on the head and daring Zeno to battle her as initiation to the ten commandments. Zeno agrees, stating that it would be an honor to battle against a former Archangel to test her strength. The two then battle as she ends up using Ark, getting hit on the head by Meliodas to stop.
At some point she is trained by Meliodas and nearly dies on a mission, carrying her on his back and trying to heal her. This is where Meliodas meets Elizabeth, who offers to help heal her. Wary, he allows it, healing her with her power and making him sigh in relief that she would be okay. Introductions are made as he falls flat on his face, succumbing to injury. They are taken to Elizabeth's cottage where they are treated and soon leave.
While thankful to Elizabeth, she finds that Meliodas keeps missing their sparring sessions in order to observe her. Understanding his happiness, she keeps his secret, at the cost of barely activating her commandment. She becomes severely ill, taken care of by Zeldris in Meliodas' absence. Meliodas is shocked to find out that she had nearly incurred the wrath of her curse for his sake.
Eventually, Meliodas hears of Elizabeth's peril, and kills Aranak and Zeno to save her, trapped between saving Delizah or Liz. He decides on saving Liz, leaving Delizah to die before being saved by Zeldris, who is furious at him. Gowther comments to Melascula that he left for love, disturbing Delizah that he had abandoned her for one of her kin, breaking her.
During the war, she watches as he is killed before her eyes, Elizabeth dying in her arms as they yell in shock, him apologizing to Delizah (saying her true name) before he dies. The story is stopped here as Delizah states that by the time he had revived, she was already dead, sealed in the coffin of eternal darkness.
