After the second day ended, Rosemary and Gillian rushed home to finish their lego Death Star set. The team watched as the two built the lego set like little kids.
“So,” Hex began, “Cruella says Rosemary is Gillian’s mate,” Hex put 5 dollars on the coffee table, “I got 5 bucks on them mating by the last round.”
“$10 on them mating by the 3rd round.” Gabriella placed 10 dollar on the table.
“No way, I know my brother better than any of you, he’s gonna do it at the ending ceremony.” Marmalade nugged Emmanuel, “place $20.”
Emmanuel rolled his eyes, “I can't believe we’re betting on this.”
“Winner that all?” Saree smirked, “cause I got $30 on the 4th round.”
“$50 on tomorrow night.” Emma smirked. “Mighty confident there, Emma?” Gloria snickered. “I have a six sense when it comes to these things.” Emma winked
“Then it’s settled, the winner takes the pot.” Emma grinned, watching the couple again.
“Stupid lego...won't go...in!” Gillian growled, trying to force the lego into the set. Rosemary giggled, placing his hand on his and moving it to a different piece, “it goes here.”
“Oh…” Gillian rubbed the back of his neck nervously, “aren’t I stupid…”
“You’re not stupid,” Rosemary kissed his cheek, “cute? Yes, but not stupid.”
“I’ll be right back, I’m gonna get something from my room.” Saree walked off, Gillian slumped into his chair, his hand on the cheek she kissed, “she’s amazing~”
“Awe, he’s in love.” Cruella placed her hand on her heart, “it’s so cute!”
“Mark her, now!” Gillian’s animalistic, Onzix, demanded, “what are you waiting for, Gillain?! She’s perfect!”
“What if she goes back with Blaze?” Gillian worried. “Are you dense?! That’s the last thing she wants! You can't sense it because your so dense, but when she looks at you she has this hopeful look in her eyes,” Onzix smiled, “it’s really cute.”
“She probably doesn’t even want me to mark her...she probably wants someone tough and buff like Blaze.” Gillian frowned. “Gillian! She wants us! Tell her tonight!” Onzix urged.
Gillian smiled when she came back into the room with snacks, “pocky?” Rosemary tossed him a pack of pocky sticks. Rosemary held in her mouth, continuing to work on her part of the Death Star.
Gillian watched the pocky stick intensively. It curled perfectly around her lips so plump and kissable. Occasionally, her tongue licked the chocolate off the stick. GIllian crushed the legos in his hand, Rosemary jumped up, seeing the shards of legos in his hand.
Rosemary shook her head, “what’s wrong? Why’d you crush the legos?”
If I didn’t, I’d wouldn't be able to control myself, I wouldn't be able to stop myself from taking you over this table right here.
“I-I wasn’t thinking.” Gillian sighed. Rosemary went into the kitchen, pulling out a first aid kit from under the sink, she pulled out tweezers, “keep still, this is gonna hurt.” Rosemary warned.
Rosemary pulled out the biggest shard, Gillian howled out in pain. Rosemary rubbed his hair, “shh...I know…I know it hurts.” Rosemary locked eyes with him.
Rosemary was in awe of how green his eyes were, “woah…” Rosemary lips were agape open, “they’re so...mesmerizing…” she reached out to touch the scar over his neck, she shook her hand, slowly retreating but Gillian caught her wrist, placing her fingers on the scar.
“What...happened?” Rosemary's voice was barely a whisper. “It’s not important,” Gillian smiled innocently, “you know my hand is fine, right? You got all the legos out when you were staring at me.”
“O-Oh!” Rosemary blushed, wrapping up his hand, “the-there you g-go!”
Gillian kissed her hand, “thank you,” Gillian noticed the time was 10:30 PM, “you should probably go to bed.”
Rosemary walked to her room, she stopped at the doorway, her body growing cold, “can y-you stay?”
“With you?”
“O-Oh! It’s u-um not important!”
“No, no, no, it’s alright,” Gillian walked into her room, taking off his shirt, Rosemary’s eyes went wide as her face flushed, “oh...my…” she could have sworn droll dribbled down her lips.
Her body shivered, imagining how good it must feel to have his fingers on her. She felt herself getting more hot by the minute. She cleared her throat before going into the bathroom to change into her PJ shorts and a loose under shirt.
Rosemary yawned and laid down, watching as Gillian slept sound. His eyebrows furrowed when he growled, pulling her in close by her waist, “mine…”
“Hi-His?” Rosemary blushed even more, “Gillian, wha-what are you talk-talking about?!”
Gillian didn’t reply, he nuzzled his nose into the nape of her neck, “only mine…” his animalistic side was getting possessive of their mate.
“What could he be dreaming about to make him call me his?” Rosemary wondered, her fingers brushing over his facial features.
“Oh gods, Gillian!” Rosemary gasped in pleasure as Gillian pumped into her “I love you!”
Gillian raked his hands up and down her body, “how did the moon goddess know to bring you to me?” Gillian purred, kissing her neck, “Ah~ Gillian! Don't stop!” Rosemary pleaded, clutching Gillian’s blond locks.
“Rosemary, you’re perfect, my love,” Gillian licked over the neck, “right there...that’s where my mark will be.”
“I don't care where your mark is, I just want your mark.” Rosemary arched her back when Gillian bit down on her neck.
Back outside his dream, Gillian purred, smiling as he held Rosemary close. Rosemary felt a strange sense of calm. She sighed in delight “I could get used to this.”
Being in his arms, she knew nothing could go wrong. Even when Blaze would hold her, it never felt like this. With Blaze, the hug held forced and strange, almost like he didn't care.
But with Gillian, she felt safe, loved, warm. Oh so warm. It was truly remarkable how warm Gillian was. It was especially useful during cold December nights like these.
But why her? Why Rosemary?
Rosemary shifted in his arms to face him. Gillian, still caught in his dream, growled slightly at her movements. “Blaze...stop...she's mine…” Gillian mumbled in his sleep.
Rosemary played with the blond strands of hair that were in his face, twirling it in her fingers. “So soft.” Rosemary whispered, it felt like she’d known him her entire life. She felt like she could tell him anything.
Why are you doing this to me, Gillian?! Rosemary sighed. Gillian nuzzled his face into the valley of her chest, Rosemary jumped up slightly, “Gil-Gillian!”
“Shhh…” Gillian sushed, “I go...sleepy bye…” Gillian murmured, Rosemary chuckled, “you idiot,”
When Rosemary fell asleep, Gillian smiled softly, listening to Rosemary’s heartbeat beat in time with his. “Okay, maybe you’re right, Onzix” Gillian watched Rosemary sleep sound “she is my mate.”
Blaze slammed his empty glass down on the bar steep, “damn Gillian!” Blaze crushed the glass in his hands, “what does he have that I don't?!”
A giggling voice next to him made him whip his head around to see a certain vampire. “What’s so funny, blood sucker?” Blaze scoffed. “You don't see it?” Valeria sipped her glass of wine.
“See what?”
“Wow, you dragons are dense,” Valeria shook her head in shame, “you don't feel the vibe off of Gillian when you mess with Rosemary?”
Blaze furrowed his eyebrows, thinking hard on Valeria’s words. “Now that I think about it, your right, he always has this weird vibe coming off of him when I’m around Rosemary. He also does this weird clicking/growling noise too.”
Valeria scooted closer to Blaze, “you’re a dragon, shouldn’t you know what that is?”
Blaze head cocked to the side, Valeria groaned out loud, “you seriously don't know?! I get that animalistic and dragons are different but you both do this!”
Blaze was still confused, his dazed look of bewilderment proved that, “I don't know what your talking about, lady!” Valeria hit her head against the bar steep repeatedly.
“Okay first it isn't ‘lady’ it’s Valeria,” she raised her head, “and two, you should know that sound! You’re a dragon! Didn’t you parents teach you this?”
The bartender poured Blaze another drink, which he gladly guzzled down “I don't have parents, but I did have an actual dragon who was my foster dad.”
“A real dragon?” Valeria's eyes sparkled with curiosity. Blaze chuckled. For a vampire, she does have nice eyes. “Yes a real dragon,” Blaze trailed his finger around the rim of his shot glass, “his name is Rezzar, he said he found me washed up on the beach in a damaged row boat.”
“I still don't get how Rezzar, who is an actual dragon and not a vessel like yourself, about that sound.” Valeria put her hand on her chin, trying to think of a way to explain it to the dense dragon beside her, “oh! Did your father ever make that sound?”
“Yeah, around his girlfriend, Zurvi, especially when we were around other dragons and magical races.” Blaze explained. Valeria looked at him, hoping he would piece it together but he never did.
“Maybe you need a better example, come on.” Valeria pulled Blaze out of the bar and into the busy town. “Hmm,” Valeria scanned the town, her eyes soon spotting her younger sister and Ector eating at a little barkery.
“Saree!” Valeria walked towards her, Blaze still in hand. Saree smiled up at her older sister, “hey Val, what’s up?”
“Just don't get mad at me, alright? Blaze just needs an example.” Valeria said, Saree nodded. Valeria exhaled deeply before grabbing Ector’s collar and kissing him deeply.
The same clicking noise that came from Gillian came from Saree and Blaze. Saree pushed her off of Ector, “what the hell is wrong with you?!” Saree eyes flashed red in anger.
Valeria turned towards Blaze, “get it now?”
Blaze was too caught up in the fact that he growled at Valeria’s actions to answer her question. Why would I growl? I could care less about Saree and Ector!
“Blaze!” Valeria yelled, her hands on her hips. Blaze was knocked out of his thoughts at her calling him, “did you learn anything from that?”
“Other than that your sister is hella possessive of her mate.” Blaze shrugged. “Okay! I give up! One day you’ll realise why Gillian and Saree made that noise and hopefully you'll stop being so dense.” Valeria picked up her purse, walking away.
“Hey! Where are you going?” Blaze ran to catch up with her. “Home….? Duh.” Valeria turned her back on his, continuing her walk home. A part of Blaze didn’t want Valeria to walk alone.
Blaze couldn't control his movements as he appeared walking beside her. “What are you doing?” Valeria interrogated. “Uh…” Blaze scratched behind his head, “walking you home...I think?”
“You think?”
Blaze sighed in defeat, “can I just walk you home?”
“I’m a vampire, I don't need a dragon to walk me home.” Valeria walked ahead of him, her head held high. “It’s just the polite thing to do.” Blaze said, matching her speed.
Valeria stopped in her tracks, “look, we didn’t go on a date, I’m not your girlfriend, I’m just some girl you met at a bar. Just forget about me and forget about trying to get Rosemary because Gillian won't let that happen.”
“What does she see in him?” Blaze scoffed, folding his arms over his chest.
Valeria pressed her lips together, “Blaze, sometimes, when you meet someone, you have this instant connection,” Valeria and Blaze continued walking, “it’s like every fiber in your being is pulled towards them like their a magnet. You want to stay with them, protect them, love them, make them feel wanted, important, respected, safe.”
Valeria looked into Blaze’s reddish orange eyes, she chuckled, “until you feel those emotions for someone, you’ll never understand how Gillian and Rosemary feel each other.”
