Chapter 9
It's been a couple months, and every time I get bored I'll change. It was the day before Halloween and I missed my Angel. I walked over to the door where I left Edge in for those countless months. I opened and with a snap, everything was gone. I looked at him as he was back in his demon form breathing heavily. I smiled down at him, "Hello old friend." I told him.
He looked up at me as he backed to the wall, "My apologies, my Lord, I don't want to be here no more." He confessed.
I huffed, "Well, I bet the Angel wants to see you." I walked over to him as I lifted his chin upwards. He nods his head as he rushed out the door heading to my room where we would arrive at her town. I walked slowly as the Demons and Dulls moved away from me. I grab a dull by her hair as I dragged her with me, "Oh I also got you food but feast away from me." The Dull didn't move. I walked into my dining hall as I tossed her on the floor. Edge attacked her without a word, causing blood splattering on my dark coat. "Clean up after yourself," I told him, as I walked away as I heard the bones cracking.
I went back to my room feeling tired, so I jumped on my bed and fell asleep. I don't want to be disturbed at the moment. What feels like minutes turns into hours. I woke up to see Edge was sleeping near my side. I sat up, rubbing my head looking around. It's almost time, I got out of bed stepping over Edge. I walked into the closet to get something to impress my little Angel. I sighed as I pulled out a Victorian outfit, almost gothic like. I smiled as I was finished. I looked at the mirror to admire myself, I admit I was pretty handsome. My hair could be easily tugged while having sex, and my lips kissable. I am the definition of beauty. I smirked to myself as I put my hand between the buttons of my button down shirt. I smiled as I walked towards the mirror. I feel powerful, refreshed even.
Edge looked up at me having his collar and bracelets in his mouth. I snapped my fingers to see them on him. He feels content. I smiled for the both of us. I closed my eyes to feel us transported to the human realm. I opened my eyes to see my little Angel laying down sleeping. I smirked to see the G.A appear as well. "What are you doing here Accuser?"
I smiled as Edge stood guard, not growling but he was about to. I walked over to my little Angel. I tucked a hair behind her ear. She looked beautiful. After some murmuring of the G.A, he sighed, "I can't be here G.A? She's so precious. I must have her but I can't." I laughed, "My mind is so fucked up, like God." I smirked as I hear him draw his weapon holding it towards me.
"How dare you speak of Him." He growled.
I rolled my eyes, "You never saw them, it's not even a him or her. They like to be in control." I rolled my eyes. I looked down at the little Angel who was stirring. Edge watched her as he jumped on the bed.
She groaned as she woke up looking at me and my hand that was frozen. We all three just stared at her. "Who are you?" She asked.
I was broken, but G.A just laughed, "She forgot about you! That's my girl!" I growled as I stared at him. She wasn't his, she was mine. My girl. No one else's but mine. I stared at him feeling my anger rising.
"Lucie?" She asked up looking at me for a good while. I looked down at her as my anger ceases. She quickly sat up holding her head low. "I must be dreaming. What day is it?" She looked at the time. 12:15, I shrugged but she shook her head. "It's Halloween. He's back," she looks down to see Edge looking up at her with a sly grin. We were all silent, "Eggy, and G.A" She put her hand to her head, "Why?"
She was shaking, the G.A took a step forward but I denied the access from him. I want my time with my girl, he made me leave. My eyes turn red at him for a warning. I sat on her bed as I lifted her chin to face me, she just sat there looking at me in shock. "I'm sorry that I left you that day. You see that G.A doesn't want me near you. He thinks I am a bad influence. I want to explain everything but you are not old enough." I told her.
She looked up at me in tears. Her boney hands cupped my face as I leaned into her warmth. "You're cold." She pointed out.
"Alright! That's enough after he left you and you are just going to forgive him?" He sneered at him.
She stared at him, "I don't forgive you, he left because of you. When I saw that cut on his arm something told me it was you." She told him.
"I protected you, I showed you God and faith. I showed you everything!" He scolded, then he pointed at me. "He's the..."
I interrupted him, "Don't listen to him Angel. He's just mad because he can't have something that isn't supposed to be his." I teased him. He didn't budge instead he just rolled his eyes.
"Faith, remember the time I said 'Don't be tempted by the Devil?' hmm?" he asked having his arms folded.
She nods her head, "Yeah."
"Now it's the time to back away." He smiled.
Instead, she scooted closer, "If he was the Devil, wouldn't he tempted me by now?" I stared at him with a smirk as she stared at him. "Wouldn't he try to put the sins on me, making me selfish and a sinner?"
He stood quiet, "You don't know what you're getting self into!" He told her.
She held onto me, I smirked as I looked at him with a smile. "Well enough fighting I must talk to G.A. Faith, my little Dove, my angel, my Faith. Can you keep Edge entertain? He really misses you." I told her as I smiled at her, Edge put his head on her looking up. She just nods her head as her attention went to Edge.
I walked down the stairs to feel him following me. I just rolled my eyes as I opened the door slowly to have him come out with me. "What is wrong with you! I thought you wanted her to go to Heaven! Let me do my job!" He yelled at me, I let him. "You are so Bi-polar!" He ranted on talking about Faith and all the jobs.
"I am drawn to her," I told him simply, he stood quiet. I relaxed my hands as I let out a breath, "I don't want to leave her G.A. I can't. These past years was Hell and let me you remind you I live in it." He stayed quiet. I looked down at the ground to see the dead grass. "When I saw her for the first time I was drawn. I wanted her, to be safe and be happy. She was alone at the time, no one was there." I told him, I turned myself around to face him.
He looked at me in shock, "The Devil caring? I must be dreaming!" He laughed.
"That's not all. She looked like an Angel," I smiled to myself, "I wanted her to become an Angel and I knew my presence can harm her." My hand turned into a fist. "But I kept coming back, and more I knew it. I feared of her going to heaven and leaving me here. I don't want her to go to, I don't want her to see her parents." I told him.
He stood silent. "I can agree with you, her parents are demons." He sneered at the house. He sighed as he closed his eyes. He changed into comfortable wear. Jeans and a sweater. His hair a mess and he just put his hands in his pockets. "You protected her from them huh?" He asked looking at me with his blue eyes.
I nod my head, "Edge and I. The most we can do is lock the door. I hate her parents. That's why I want her to be a Pure. She doesn't have to face them, and I should know by experience." I gave him a laugh.
He thought for a while. "An Angel and the Devil casually talking about something we both cared for, I must be crazy." He mumbled. He smiled, "How about this? Halloween is your day." I looked at him curiously, "Edge can stay but he has to be outside when I am around. I'll take her to church every Sunday." He is telling me his plan, I just listened. "I'll make sure that Edge has access to the school and other places she goes regularly. He can be a guard. She will do Confession on Sundays as well." And it went all.
"Edge being near her was my idea, I still want to do it." I gave myself credit.
He groaned as he rubbed his face in frustration, he held out his hand closing his eyes. "Do we have a deal?"
I looked at him and smiled, I put my hand on his shoulder as he tensed. "If a Pure is willing to sacrifice his loyalty for Faith, there is no marking involved. For the first time in my life, I trust you. Edge would keep the door lock at night, you still have access to the house of course. You also want to bless that ring too." I reminded him.
He sighed angrily, "I told her to bless at a church." I laughed.
"A rebel." I laughed until I heard the door open to see Edge and Faith running out.
"Edge and I want to go exploring! There should be awesome Halloween Decorations!" She screamed.
I smiled, "Yeah, I don't mind wanna dress up?" I teased she shook her head.
"I'm not a kid anymore." She told me, she huffed. She walked between us having Edge behind her like a lost puppy. "Come on Edge, we are leaving without them!" She stormed off. I just stared at her and smiled.
"Well, let's go," I told him with a smirk.
He despised all of it, I think he was more afraid then Faith. He actually held onto her hand walking. I just stared at the hands, I don't like it. When we arrived at her house Edge ran to the door as well Faith. The Angel sighed as he turned around, "I'm out of here. Take care." He waved as he vanished.
I smiled as I looked down at my Angel, the true one. She went inside having Edge run up the stairs as I quietly followed. She went into her room as she hops onto her bed as so did Edge. "That was fun!" She squealed as she lays on the bed, she holds onto Edge who was curled up near her. "It's been a while since I had fun." She nuzzles into him as she yawns. "It's tiring." She fell asleep. I laughed as I walked to the chair as I crossed my legs watching her. I looked to the side to see her drawing pad, I took a look to see her drawings. Some of them were dark but there is one of them that caught my attention. It was when she was little and me but in silhouette. The sun is just setting and we were on a bridge. I just stared. I don't know how long but she got up and spoke. "I forgot to add Eggy in it..." I looked up at her.
"I love it. Reminds me when you are little." I chuckled as I stared at her little figure.
She yawned, "Everybody says that you were a pedophile." I froze then chuckled.
"What happens if they are right?" I looked at her.
She shook her head, "I doubt it, you would have made a move already."
I didn't say a word, I just stared at the figure below, "What happened if I did?" I asked her as I traced her small figure.
She got up from her seat as she drags herself over to me, putting herself on my lap she looked down. "I don't know, I would be to naïve." She leaned against my chest as she yawned, "Besides, I thought you were a family member but clearly you weren't." She breathed softly, "You look nothing like me." She closed her eyes as she fell asleep in my arms. I breathed softly as I put the drawing book back where I found it, I leaned back having my arms around her. Warm, she warm. I smiled contently. A warm body, if I woke up to this every day I would be in heaven. I chuckled at the thought.
I want her to go, I don't want her to see my creations. My hell, her parents, her bullies, (If they come) none of them. That would be hell, just knowing that they are in the same place. She was asleep as I watched her breath softly. I nuzzled into her neck, taking in her scent. It's sweet and comforting. It smells like pine, like a forest. I sighed against her soft skin, I held her close as she groans. I closed my eyes, I gave her a kiss on the neck as I could feel her squirm and shiver. I looked at her sleeping form as she made a small smile. I stared at her, longingly
"Don't worry Angel, I won't let you see your parents anymore." I held her closer, tighter. I finally got up still having her close to me. "I won't let you see them when you are away from this human world," I told her. I tucked her into bed like I use to do. I gave her a final kiss, this time a little longer.
"I can't believe it," I spun around in defense but relaxed when I saw the G.A standing there having his arms folded. "You are such a perv, worse than me when I was alive." He told me. I stood silent but he sighed. "I want her to go to Heaven, but I think you storm upstairs to get her for a devilish kiss." He laughed quietly.
I looked at the time, it was almost time for me to go. "I probably will but I don't want her to see in Hell, she doesn't need it," I told him as I looked at him, he tilts his head. "I still hate you." I closed my eyes as I was back in my room leaving Eggy with my Angel. I smirked to myself as I thought about her. She would be mine.
"Stop smirking Lucifer." I froze as I heard its voice. A man.
"Hello, God." I sneered
