Chapter 118.
I would love to tell you we landed in England later that night. That I was in the airport right now, waiting for John to come pick me up. That we would drive down to our old neighborhood in Liverpool and he would tell me he bought my old house back. The house I moved into with my parents. The house I'd sneak John into as we'd stay up all night in my room, just listening to records.
Me and John would be meeting up with the guys right now, ready to be having a small party. George would greet me with his famous big grin, Richard would pick me up and twirl me around like he always did. Paul would greet me with a small hug, Michelle in hand. John would sit me in his lap and leave small kisses on my cheek as I giggled.
Instead, here I am, walking down a familiar road alone. I stopped to look at myself in the reflection of a shop window. I touched my face and looked down at myself. My clothes different. My dress I got onto the plane with now replaced by jeans, a white top and my leather jacket over.
I sighed and kept walking, headed down to the old college. I looked around completely lost. At the old cars, the grey sky, the students running into class. I slowed down as I saw him coming down the steps. His dark clothes so familiar. His scruffy hair messy, smudges of paint on his face, a small smile appearing on his face as he saw me.
I felt tears welling up in my eyes as he ran over to me, dropping his things and wrapping his arms around me. I hugged him tight and shut my eyes, feeling the tears fall down my cheeks. I could hear him whisper.
"Lucy I missed you so much."
"I missed you too..Where am I?"
"In a better place. In a better time."
I could feel my heart beat rapidly as he pulled away, looking at me face. I brushed my fingers over his features and smiled.
"Just as I remember. I'm glad to see you again Stuart."
