The rest of the day passed without anything interesting happening, which Fawn was fairly grateful for. The incident with Nate at lunch had shaken her more than she was going to admit. It wasn't that the boy himself had gotten to her -- she wasn't scared of Nate Jacobs. She was scared of who he represented and the people he knew. If she told her therapist, she would probably say that Nate Jacobs was a "vessel for her trauma" or some psych bullshit like that.
"Look at this," Sylvia interrupted her train of thought. Fawn had been staring into her vanity, her eyes red as she finished scrubbing off her makeup. She rubbed her face once more, feeling the slippery texture from her makeup remover. She sighed as she got up and laid down on the bed next to Sylvia. The blonde turned her phone to face Fawn where a red-lit sex tape was playing.
"Oh my God!" Fawn exclaimed as she realized she knew exactly who that was, "That's got to be Kat Hernandez! Same bob and everything."
Sylvia scoffed, "Same whiny ass voice."
"Don't be rude!" the tan girl smacked her friend gently, chastising her with a shake of the head, "I'll admit, though, that's a little surprising for her. She didn't seem like the type."
"Are we the type?" the other girl asked with a quirk of her eyebrow, the corners of her lips turning up.
Fawn laughed at this as she nodded, "Oh, we've got to be on the Hub somewhere. There's literally no way we aren't. What do you think the title of our sex tape would be?"
"I couldn't tell you." She leaned back on the bed with a sigh, wrapping her arm around Fawn's waist and pulling her close, "Hey, so, I have a question and you have to promise not to be mad at me pretty please?"
Their faces were inches apart as they faced each other on the pillows. Fawn nodded. "All the stuff with Nate and Maddy... you don't like, have feelings for Maddy, do you? I mean, like, all the rumors and stuff that was just for fun, right? Not because you were actually jealous."
Fawn's eyebrows furrowed as she considered this question. The word "feelings" was very rarely ever in her or Sylvia's vocabulary, so this felt like it had come out of nowhere. Her expression shifted into one of humor as she decided to try and beat around the bush, "Why? Would you be jealous if I had feelings for Maddy or something? C'mon, I know I'm irresistible, but if you're in love with me, I'd rather you just tell me."
Sylvia scoffed as she turned away from Fawn, releasing her. She didn't know how, but Fawn knew she had struck a chord. Her voice softened as she sighed, "Hey, hey, I didn't mean that, I just --"
She didn't get to finish her sentence because Sylvia turned back around and kissed her. They had kissed dozens of times, but there was something different about this one. It wasn't lazy or casual as their affairs often were, this was heated, it was passionate. Fawn kissed her back with a fervor she didn't know she had, grabbing the girl's face as she pushed herself up to straddle her. They had done this before, there's nothing different here, Fawn struggled to remind herself as the blonde's mouth left hers only to reconvene on her neck as Fawn moaned. This was Sylvia. They were friends. So why did it feel different? Sylvia's hands left her face as one hand trailed around the small of her back, the other gripping her tan thigh so tightly she wouldn't be surprised if she left a bruise. It would be a good bruise, though, the best kind.
All thoughts of their friendship and whatever was happening here went out the window as Fawn twisted her hands in the girl's tangled blonde hair, tugging her away from her neck so their lips could meet again. The shorter girl moaned into her mouth and it was a sound Fawn had heard before, but the way it reverberated around her lips was something she had never noticed before. Sylvia moved her hand from the small of Fawn's back to her hip, using it to push her off of her so they could switch positions. Her other hand still gripped her thigh as the girl once again began to kiss down her neck and chest. Fawn's earlier logic betrayed her as now all she could think about was why the hell were they still wearing their clothes?
As if she was reading her mind, Sylvia's hand reached up to thumb underneath the band of the crop top Fawn was wearing. The girl paused, her mouth leaving Fawn's skin as she looked up at her. The air in the room was thick with tension as both of them waited for the other to speak with bated breath.
After a moment, Sylvia panted, "Is... is this okay?"
Fawn nodded feverishly, "Yes, yes, please don't stop now."
The other girl nodded and helped her get the tight crop top off. Next went Sylvia's shirt and then the girl was kissing down her chest again. Fawn was mostly still in awe that this was actually happening. She and Sylvia came to each other for chaste kisses and brief makeout sessions, but when it came to sex they usually outsourced. Fawn usually went for Maddy and Sylvia had a brief affair with Rue Bennett last summer, but this was all new. Fawn was no longer thinking about what this meant for their friendship, all she wanted at this moment was Sylvia all over her. Her brain was fogged, but she knew what she wanted. She wanted this.
A couple of hours later, Fawn sighed as she laid on the bed, both girls sweaty and tired. Looking over at the blonde, Fawn couldn't decipher the expression on her face, but she knew if the girl was considering something she would voice it out loud. That was something she could always be grateful for; she knew Sylvia would always tell her the truth.
"Are we..." the girl started, but seemed to reconsider her words halfway through, "We're still us, right?"
Fawn chuckled at this as she stood up and grabbed some fresh clothes from her closet. Looking back at Sylvia as she pulled a t-shirt over her head, she threw a t-shirt at the girl, teasing, "I mean, fuck me like that again and I'm just gonna have to put a ring on it."
Sylvia scoffed as she put on the shirt, saying, "You know what I mean. Like, we're not..."
"Dating? In love?" Fawn supplied, "No, not unless you have something to tell me. We should do that more often, though."
"I wanted to," she confessed, piquing Fawn's interest as the girl crawled back onto the bed, "but I was scared because ya know..."
"Sexual trauma?"
"Yeah," Sylvia sighed, "You were like... okay with what we just did, right?"
Fawn nodded as she grabbed the girl's face and pressed a kiss to her cheek before falling onto her back against the pillows, "Yes. One-hundred-percent. It's cute when you worry about me, however, it is horridly out of character."
"You're an asshole," Sylvia laughed as she pulled her phone off of the nightstand, "Can I sleep here tonight? Mom's being a bitch."
"Make yourself at home, you practically live here anyway."
The two girls fell into a comfortable silence as they both scrolled through their phones. Fawn was glad that things with Sylvia remained uncomplicated. They were on the same page. Sylvia would tell her if they weren't. However, as she looked over at the girl who was absentmindedly looking through Twitter, she wondered if that was true. Sylvia would always tell her the truth, right?
uhhh i refuse to write graphic smut for these characters because they are still minors even if they're portrayed by adults but here you go sorry it's not maddy that fawn is sleeping with it's gonna take a while before we get to that
