Devil's Plan

Jin was at his locker, getting the books out he needed for his next classes when the bell rang not giving him time to put them back in his backpack. As he came around the corner he met Lonna. They both stood awkwardly in front of each other. “Lonna.” Jin said being the one to break the silence.

Lonna gave him a wide smile. “I washed your handkerchief you lent me.” She held the blue piece of cloth out to him. “Thank you.”

Jin looked from the pile of books to the cloth in Lonna’s hands and back again. “You didn’t have to return it so soon.” He said giving her a smile. “You could have kept it for a while.”

“Really? Thank you Jin.” She said smiling brightly at him.

“I didn’t really do anything.” Jin said as his face heated with a blush. The blush spread to Lonna as well. She finally took notice of the many books Jin was carrying.

“Oh, let me help you.” She said moving toward him to split the pile of books. Instead of helping him carry them, she knocked them all out of his hands. Her mouth hung open in embarrassment as they littered the floor below. “Sorry, I’ll get them.”

They both bent down to pick up the books. “No that’s fine, I got it.” Jin said feeling bad that she felt bad. Suddenly they looked at each other and realized their faces were very close together.

Lonna’s dream of Jin and her in the field came to her mind as she watched his eyes dart from her eyes to her lips. She flitted her tongue over them to make sure they were moist (I cringed writing that, I hate that word.) she hoped nothing would disturb them this time. “Why do I have a bad feeling?” Jin asked out of nowhere, but Lonna could help but feel it too.

“Is it like a doomy sort of feeling?” Lonna asked.

Jin only nodded in answer before they both slowly moved their eyes away from each other in the same direction. Lonna fell back in shock at seeing Suga’s face so close to theirs.

Suga was crouched down beside the couple with a sly gummy grin on his lips. “What are you doing here?” Lonna shouted making it to her feet as she watched Suga stare at Jin and him back. “Your class is on the other side of the building, why are you here scaring us?”

Jin looked at the yelling girl, not moving from his spot. “Is this a friend?”

“No, he’s…” Lonna gave Suga who was still ignoring her to look at Jin an evil glare. “my soon to be brother.”

Suga slowly turned to glare back at the girl. “Oh, I am?”

“Shut up!” Lonna said before ignoring him and looking back at Jin. She wiped the evil look from her face and returned to acting cute. “Jin, my mother is remarrying, and this is the man’s son.” Jin gave her a smile and turned it on to Suga, who had been staring at him this whole time.

“I see, nice to meet you, I am Kim Seok Jin.” He stuck his hand out to Suga who gave him an amused smile but refused to shake his hand. Jin’s smile started to fade as he considered the boy refusing his hand shake. He took his other hand to pull his outstretched hand back in embarrassment. (Can you say RM moment).

To rub salt in the fragile man’s wound Suga decided to tease him. “Auntie?” Jin had no clue why the younger boy had called him aunt, but he decided it best to answer the term anyway. “I heard you are very good at basketball and popular.” Suga said making Jin smile in even more embarrassment.

“It’s nothing.” Jin said as he blushed once more.

Lonna could see it, Suga was using his charms on Jin. She had to warn him. She quickly grabbed his hand and pulled him away. Jin looked at her like she was crazy. “He’s manipulating you. Don’t believe anything he says.” Lonna said with a humorous pleading look on her face.

“He’s manipulating me?” Jin asked her pointing at himself.

“Yes!” Lonna had just enough time to answer before Suga shoved her back to interrupt.

“My noona is the one who told me all that.” Lonna couldn’t believe what she heard, she wondered if Suga was being nice for once. She found it hard to believe, but she hoped she wasn’t fooling herself as she went with it.

“Actually, my brother is very truthful and kind.” Lonna said to Jin taking back her earlier words, silently hoping she was right.

“I actually really admire you Jin.” Suga said sweetly. “Can I play basketball with you?”

“Yes.” Lonna said in agreement, before getting a bad feeling that maybe Suga really does have something up his sleeve.

“Sure, anytime.” Jin said while looking between the two stepsiblings to be. “The more people who like the game, the better.”

“Great.” Suga said holding up his ring clad fist for Jin to bump. “See you after school.”

Lonna watched in regret, still feeling the bad feeling as Jin bumped fists with Suga in agreement. She looked at Suga as he went to leave and knew then why she should have trusted her gut. As Suga walked away, he looked Lonna up and down with that devil’s smile spread across his face. Her eyes followed him as he walked away down the hall making her fear grow.

“Your brother is an interesting guy.” Jin said as he smiled, watching Suga move down the hall as well. “Might be nice to be his friend.” He finished giving the distracted girl a big smile. Lonna couldn’t help but laugh at her and Jin’s stupidity for falling for Suga’s plan.

Suga’s POV

Suga had laid his bag under his head, as he laid on the university yard, he used a book laying over his face to shield his eyes from the sun, as he took a nap. The other four boys were standing around talking to each other. Their talking was interrupted as they heard a twig snap, and their gazes all moved to find the source. Their mouths dropped open as they saw who was quickly approaching them.

Suga’s sleep was also interrupted, as he heard someone, that wasn’t part of his group speak. “Your wanting to get close to Jin, what is your plan?” The girls voice hit his ears.

He didn’t get the chance to ignore her, like he had planned, because she reached down and took the book away from his face letting the harsh sun hit his eyes.

He gave her an annoyed look before lifting into a sitting position. “What are you saying? No matter how you look at it, I’m just a sunny guy playing basketball. How’s that strange?”

Lonna huffed in her own annoyance. “You’re not ‘sunny’ at all.”

“Oh, well, thanks for the praise.” Suga said rolling his eyes. Before she could say anything back to him, she was interrupted.

“Lonna…how are you even still alive?” RM asked.

“You’re alive, why can’t I be alive?!” Lonna said letting him get on her nerves.

“But you hit Prince.” Taehyung said. “Why are you still ok?” Lonna was confused by what he meant.

“It’s definitely hard to believe.” Jhope added pulling the girls attention to him. “Normally, two or three of your bones would be broken by now.”

“That’s because, when revenge needs to be taken, Suga returns it one-hundred fold.” RM finished.

‘So, he is using getting close to Jin to take revenge on me.’ Lonna thought.

Suga tried to hide the nervousness he felt. He stood up from the ground. “RM, gather the boys in the gym after class.”

“Okay.” RM answered him as Suga started walking away. Lonna looked at him as he left with nothing but horrific thoughts going through her head.
