Brother's Conflict

As soon as Suga saw Jungkook, he lost the calm that Lonna had helped him find. In rage he started pulling the DVDs down, row by row. Jungkook did nothing but chuckle as Suga finally made it in front of him. Suga pushed himself as close to Jungkook as he could. "What are you doing?" Suga's voice was intimidating.

"This is my version of a big expose." Jungkook answered as if Suga had no affect on him. "Want me to send it to your house? Or..." Jungkook was enjoying the look of pure anger on Suga's face. "Should I just buy a TV spot and broadcast it?" Lonna could see Suga was trying to hold himself back. "Then you two will be done for. I'll let society's pressure break you up...since you'll soon be siblings."

Suga ignore Jungkook's laughter. "If I didn't think we were possible, I wouldn't have chosen her to begin with!"

The confidence in Suga's voice made Jungkook lose his cool facade. "Why does nothing I do faze you?!" He screamed.

"Because nothing's going to change." Suga turned his back to him and grabbed Lonna starting to walk away.

"Did you forget I'm your brother!" Jungkook screamed. Suga stopped but he didn't look back at him.

"If I could. I want to." Jungkook's expression turned depressed at his brother's answer.

"I did this...so you would see me, stand by me. I really want my brother back!"

"I don't want to see you at all. Everytime I see you, your existence is a reminder...of my inner demons." Lonna felt she had been quiet long enough.

"Suga! What you said will really hurt Jungkook's feelings." She didn't understand why he was acting like this.

Jungkook reached his hand up and gently traced the scar on his cheek. It all made sense to him. "Wanting to kill me."

"Nonsense." Lonna yelled at him.

"It's ok." Suga said to keep her from saying more in his defense, because she didn't know just undefendable he was. "Because...I did want him to disappear from my life. That much is true." Jungkook felt like someone had knocked the air from his lungs.

"You admit it." Suga turned to look at him. "Before I disappear...you should die!" Jungkook pulled out the brick he had hidden behind his back as he ran toward Suga. Once he got close Suga shoved Lonna out of the way as he stood his ground. He closed his eyes as he saw the brick raise above Jungkook's head. Suga felt this was what he deserved and he wouldn't fight against it.

The sound of the brick hitting the ground and breaking, made Suga reopen his eyes. The sound of someone struggling to breath hit his ears. His eyes first went to Lonna, but she stood beside him with a look of fear on her face. He followed her eyes to the ground in front of him. Jungkook was collapsed there on his knees, clutching his chest with his fist.

"Jungkook!" Suga screamed his name as he quickly crouched down in front of him and looked for any injuries.

"Jungkook what's wrong?" Lonna was currently doing the same. Not seeing anything, Suga knew exactly what was wrong. He wasted no time in lifting Jungkook over his shoulder.

"Where's the nearest hospital?" Suga asked Lonna as he was lifting.

" Your hand!" Lonna yelled worried about Suga hurting himself worse.

"He has asthma." Suga said trying to get her to realize that Jungkook was more important at the moment. He knew she was just very scared. Lonna pointed in the direction behind them. Suga quickly rushed in that direction as Jungkook coughed and wheezed on his shoulder.

At The Hospital

Suga bit his nails as he absentmindedly stared off into the distance. Lonna sat on the hospital bench outside Jungkook's room beside where Suga stood against the wall.

Jungkook laid in the bed asleep as Mr. Cho left the room to talk to Suga and Lonna. Suga didn't even make eye contact with him as he walked up beside him. "It's alright. The doctor said a little rest will do." Against his own will Suga let out a sigh of relief. "So you can still get Jungkook overexcited?"

Suga didn't find his joking tone funny. "Shut up."

"Go get your hand fixed. I'll take him home." Mr. Cho said as he looked down at the scarf covering Suga's wound. Suga ignored him as he walked into Jungkook's room. Lonna quickly followed him.

Suga stared sadly at the scar that stood out on Jungkook's cheek. "He's alright." Lonna whispered trying not to wake Jungkook up as she talked.

"I hurt him again."

"You were trying to protect him." Lonna wouldn't allow Suga to guilt himself over this. "Because of your childhood experience, you know hurting your brother, casts a shadow over his life. So you didn't want him to suffer the rain again."

"He's been sickly since he was little. So mom...would always stay by his side. I envied Jungkook. And...because of it..." The vase incident flashed through his head again.

Jungkook ran over to Suga as he colored at the table. "Yoongi, play with me." He pleaded.

"No, go away. I'm drawing for mom." He went back to coloring. Jungkook grabbed the drawing and tried to hide it behind his back. Suga tried his best to get it back from him. "Give it to me." He demanded.

Finally after a small struggle, Suga managed to get the drawing back. Jungkook tried to get it back though as he grabbed the paper. They pulled it between the two of them.

Their mother noticed their fighting as she came down the stairs with a basket of dirty clothes. "What are you doing Suga?" She walked up to him and grabbed the paper, that Jungkook had let go of, out of his hands and handed it back to his brother. "Play with Jungkook." She scolded before going to do laundry.

Suga quickly tried to grab the paper back, but it ripped in half. Full of anger and jealousy, he shoved Jungkook. When Jungkook fell, he knocked a vase down with him. The glass shattered all over the floor. Suga watched as Jungkook held his hand to his face. He screamed loudly in pain as the blood from the wound spread across the wood floor. "What was that?" His mother asked as she stuck her head back into view.

Seeing the blood and Jungkook laying on the ground in pain, she ran to him in a panic. "Jungkook!"

"They never blamed me." Suga stated as the memory came to a stop. "Instead, my exhausted mother and workaholic father blamed each other. In the end, they divorced."

Lonna reached over and wrapped her hand around Suga's, hoping to comfort him. "It's not your fault. It was their problem, right?"

"But...the catalyst of everything was me. I destroyed everything. Being hated is easier to live with. I've always thought so." Suga looked down at Jungkook as he slept. "Because the old home can't be put back together."

So, that's why he is so cold to Jungkook. Lonna thought as she listened to Suga's story. Suga, accepted all the responsibility. By himself, he came up with all the conclusions.

"If... you can't go back in the past." Suga's sad face turned to look at her. She tried to word what she wanted to say the right way. "Maybe...you can start anew. If you...still love each other. Suga found he couldn't argue with her, and Lonna knew he was willing to try, but it would be a hard process.

Going beyond the forest of love, a light will shine through. Even if you have gotten lost, and taken a longer route, as long as you reach the destination. Mr. Cho interrupted Lonna's thoughts as he walked back in the room. "I'll go get us something." Suga offered.

"I'll do it." Lonna insisted. Suga squeezed her hand to say a silent thank you before she left.

Lonna walked through the busy hospital to the vending machine. At one point she stumbled, but she was fast enough to catch herself before she could fall down. She shook her sore head, trying to brush off the light headache it had caused her.

Jungkook opened his eyes and looked at his brother, who quickly left the room as well. Mr. Cho waited for him to be gone, before walking up to Jungkook's bed. "We can leave now. Or are you still faking so Yoongi will spoil you?"

Jungkook smiled slightly at the fact he had caught on to him. "Uncle..." His face suddenly turned serious. "I'm sorry, I caused so much trouble."

"It's ok. I only want you to be happy." He gave Jungkook a smile. "Then...your mother will be happy too."

"Uncle, I know you are so patient with me because of my mother. Instead, I stirred up so much trouble, for brother."

"Rest assured, the reasons behind what you did, he is well aware of them." Mr. Cho said.

"Doesn't he hate me?"

"If you had seen how worried he was..." Mr. Cho's smile widened. "You wouldn't ask that."

Jungkook was so happy. "I want to leave now. Can I?" Mr. Cho only nodded in answer. "I don't know how to tell him, I'm really glad he is my brother." Suga smiled happily from where he was hiding, as he eavesdropped on the conversation between the two.

Lonna's POV

Lonna's hand shook slightly as she put the coins into the machine. She watched the drink fall into the shoot as she pressed the button. She crouched down as it dropped and opened the flap, taking the can out.

Her grip around the can loosened as it fell to the ground. Everything went dark as Lonna collapsed on the hard tiled floor as well.
