A Mother's Pain and A Brother's Plea

Even though it had been almost a week since, Suga was still upset over what had happened on his birthday, but the worst part was he wasn't sure if he was mad at himself or his mother more. He quickly dressed for school and went downstairs to greet everyone. He was shocked to only find Pamela there when he reached the dining room. "Where's Lonna?" He asked.

Pamela wiped her hands on her apron after placing the last plate of food on the table, before turning to smile brightly at Suga. "She left already." Suga frowned sadly at her answer. "Oh, yea." Pamela point to a small bag. "That gift is what she wanted me to give you."

Suga smirked sadly as he pick the gift bag up off the table, but frowned again when he wondered why Lonna had chosen not to give it to him personally.

Jungkook's POV

Jungkook's heart sank sadly as he looked around his mother's filthy room. All her glamorous clothes laid chaotically on the floor, with used lumps of tissue spread around over them. The room look like a tornado had laid waste to his mother's things, and in the middle of it all laid his mother.

He sighed sadly at the broken woman who did nothing but sniffle and cling to the only picture she had, the one of him and his brother with her as children. He watched silently as she gently rocked back and forth, holding it to her chest. He finally made his way through the mess to her and kneeled beside her bed gently placing his hand on her knee, but it elicited no reaction from her.

"Mom, at least clean up the clothes you've already worn." He said gently, but still his mother didn't look over at him. "How long are you going to stay like this?" He asked.

"Did Yoongi call?" Was the only thing she said in response to his question.

Jungkook sighed at the same question she had already asked him repeatedly over the last few days. It always broke his heart to answer it. "No."

"Then call him!" His mother's loud plea made Jungkook jump a bit in shock. She quickly snapped out of her trance like state and grabbed Jungkook's shoulders. "He doesn't take my calls, but he'll take yours. Call him." She begged.

Hearing his mother's broken voice hurt Jungkook even more. He gently took her hands in his and gave her a look of pity. "Mom, give it up. It's not possible." His mother's stare made his chest hurt, but he knew he needed to pull her out of this slump for her own sake. "Our departure date is already set. And the things you still need to take care of, can't be postponed."

His mother's stare once again became glasses over with tears as she slumped sadly against her headboard. "Mom, are you listening to me?" Jungkook asked.

Once again his mother ignored his question as she lovingly ran her thumb over the picture of Yoongi. The tears started to flow down her cheek again, making Jungkook feel guilty. "How many times should I give him up?" She asked. "All my hard work. For what?"

"Mom." Jungkook's sorrow filled voice drew her eyes back to him as he gave her a half broken grin to try and cheer her up.

"Jungkook...you left with me...have you ever regretted it?" She asked through her tears.

Jungkook gave her one of his adorable bunny like smiles as he grabbed her hands again. "Of course not."

"Many times when you were little, we couldn't pay the rent. So we had to live with relatives, the time we moved place to place." She pulled on of her hands out of Jungkook's hold, and gently cupped his cheek with it. "You endured a lot with me. I always kept wondering, do you envy your brother? That he gets to live in a well-off place?"

Jungkook covered the hand that cupped his cheek with one of own and gave her a gentle smile. "Mom, that's all in the past. We made it through." He said as he used his thumb to wipe away one of her falling tears.

"I know, to you, to Yoongi, it wasn't fair. But I never admitted defeat. I had hoped that I could give you brothers the best." The tears started to fall at a faster rate.

Jungkook sighed before grabbing his mother's hands in his once more. "Mom, you don't have to be this tough." He gave her another bright smile. "Look, I'm all grown up. Besides, there's also Uncle. He's been patiently waiting for you."

Despite the tears a smalle smile spread his mother's lips at the mention of his tutor. "I know. All these years I have never accepted him." She ran her fingers across his forehead to move the stray strands of hair that were threatening to cover his eyes.

"It's because all my love is devoted to you and Yoongi." As soon as she mentioned his name again, her smile instantly faded and the crying came once more. "But now that I finally have the ability, Yoongi rejects me instead."

Jungkook could say nothing more, as he held his sobbing mother in his arms.

Mr. Min's POV

"This woman has nothing to do with us! What right does she have to take Yoongi to Italy?!" Suga's grandmother yelled angrily.

Mr. Min bit his bottom lip to calm himself before he yelled back at his mother. "Mom, if Yoongi's decision is to go with his mother, I think I'll respect his decision."

"What are you saying?!" His mother yelled shocked at his willingness to accept losing his son. "Yoongi is our Min family heir." Seeing her son roll his eyes at her words, only fueled her anger. "I don't care what you say! I raised him. Yoongi isn't going anywhere! Besides, that day, didn't he reject her face-to-face?"

"If he did make the decision, he would have told us." Mr. Min said sadly.

"Lonna told me Yoongi has always thought his mother didn't love him." Pamela said. "It wasn't until her meet her, that he found out that wasn't true. Maybe, because if that, it stunned and confused him"

Grandmother could feel her chest start to hurt from the anxiety she was feeling. "Enough!" She yelled through labored breaths, making Mr. Min and Pamela look at her in concern. "No more talk about that. I...I'm not here to talk about that."

Pamela and Mr. Min exchanged confused looks. Suga's grandmother sighed in exasperation. "I'm here to discuss the details of your wedding."

"Oh." Mr. Min exclaimed as he turned and gave Pamela and apologetic stare. "Pamela, I'm sorry. Because of my ex-wife, I forgot about your feelings."

Pamela gave him a smile as she grabbed his hands in hers. "I understand. I said it before, the wedding is just a formality to give the baby a clear status." She moved her hand loving over her stomach. "Our life, we're sure of it. Lonna and Yoongi's lives, what will happen to them...it's not only you, I'm concerned as well."

Mr. Min smiled thankfully at Pamela's understanding nature. "Mom, if Yoongi makes the decision, then we should prepare ourselves."

Despite wanting to argue, Suga's grandmother clamped her mouth shut and huffed in defeat.

Suga's POV

Jungkook had done as his mother asked and called his brother, and just as she said he would, Suga had agreed to meet him. Standing beside him, he could tell by the way Suga stood he was still angry. "Hyung, I know you're annoyed, but I have to ask you, will you come with me to see her one more time?"

Suga chuckled like he had expected Jungkook to ask him this from the start. He crossed his arms across his chest and turned away from him. "I don't want to. Go once, then twice, then what?" Suga huffed in annoyance. "It's useless."

Despite possibly angering his brother, Jungkook refused to give up so easily. "Can't you take pity on a poor woman? She is your mother." His plea just made Suga turn further from him in anger, which made Jungkook's heart ache. "You can pretend indifference, but I can't. She's my mother too. To see her suffer, and not care at all, I can't do that."

Jungkook took a steady breath as he recounted the words his mother said to him as he held her in his arms.

"But how do I go on? Stay here? Go to Italy?" Her voice was hoarse as she sobbed. "Going anywhere is the same. Without Yoongi, even if I conquered the world, I would still be a ridiculous fool. The more glamorous I appear...the more pathetic I am."

"She's been like this since your birthday." The anger disappeared from Suga's face as he listened to his brother. "She's not working either. She's in a state of complete shut-down. Please hyung." Jungkook pleaded.

Yoongi stood silent for a moment as he wrestled with his conflicting emotions.

A/N: only 5 chapters left.

Will Suga go with Jungkook? Guess we shall she.

Also, sorry for the slow updates, but my school has been taking up my time. Exams suck, but hopefully in a little over two weeks I will have more time. Thanks for sticking with this story.
