Fingers drummed over a small end table in the far back corner of the room, War had gotten tired of waiting for Saban to come back with words. He’d been gone for some time now, and War was beginning to think he had gone elsewhere in order to further delay the answers he was seeking. If that were the case, War would be sure to give the man a piece of his axe.

Hearing door sliding across rough wooden floors all eyes turned upwards, seeing Saban had been what they all were waiting for. War stood eyes holding to Saban’s.

“Well?” He asked intently. Saban licked dry lips moving to the round table held in the center of the room.

“She is….interesting.” He answered dropping to a sideways chair grabbing his ale, taking a long sip Saban almost mocking War with a light grin. Giving the man a light growl War took another step to him.

“Saban.” Keeping eyes so deadly they were a match for his blades. Saban seemed slightly unthrilled with the response, but shrugged it off.

“I’ll test her, if she passes I’ll speak on her behalf to the family.” Different reactions seemed to grace ears while War simply nodded. His feet spun him around not bothering to hear what any other male had to speak. Crunching over dusting of snowflakes War reentered stables looking for Siana. He found her laying across that large grey, legs swinging carelessly against his sides while he munched on hay.

Shuffling his feet as to alert her of his growing presents, War came to stand near her stall door watching the stallions reactions closely. This horse was none other than Marco’s steed, a man that almost matched War in every way possible. He’d held his sword proudly without remorse when his life had been taken.

Leaving behind two daughters and wife, Marco was by far a great match against War. Many a times both sparring in hopes to gain skills, trading battle stories had been something both men did seldom, but when it occurred all listened.

War’s fears weren’t to Siana having such a deadly mount, but more to the kin he had still living. A family took pride in few things, but the ones they had were for  both mount and falcon. The mount aided in returning ones love to safe grounds, while falcon gave rider a few of the layout of lands. Being able to see through the eyes of your falcon where more than handy when in battle.

Knowing the lady to Marco was more than charmed with the idea of War having one of the daughters as his female, he loathed the mere idea. The woman in his eyes was nothing more than a snake, in search for the best males to breed with her daughters. She loved power, marveled in it even. One might think her to be royality, when in fact she was nothing more than a commoner who’d gotten lucky in the eyes of Marco.

Being that she’d already blessed one daughter with a male, leaving the youngest to find one. War was worried she’d use this as a new angle, gaining what she wanted knowing War would want Siana to have the stallion for her own. When she didn’t care a lick for the beast.

Anabelle was the least member of the manor War liked to see, and her youngest daughter was far too skittish for the likes of himself. Nearly jumping out of her skin when a chair fell over, was not a good female to be had by a male with a reputation for being less than gentle.

If this were to work they way he hoped, Siana was going to have to learn quite a bit within a short time. So short she’d have but a few days to engrain its contents to memory. Saban wouldn’t go easier on her just because she was War’s bitten, if anything she’d be tested harder.

“Get down.” The gruffness was something he couldn’t avoid, a mind filled to the rim with what was to be had War far more annoyed than he cared to admit. Siana gave him a look, her stunning blue eyes blinking long dark lashes in an almost child-like manner.

She didn’t give him any back talk while a leg swung over the stallions neck, allowing her to drop into straw bedding. Snorting the grey gave her a nudge before once more returning to his meal. War opened her stall door letting Siana pass through it, before he locked it back up for the night.

“You have three days, in which you need to learn much.” He headed out the stable, leaving Siana far more puzzled than ever before. The hurrying of her feet after him, didn’t do much to lighten his mood, but it did help.

“Three days?” Her slightly shorter frame paced faster to keep inline with War’s shoulder, head turned upwards so she could catch a glimpse of his face had War turning slightly.

“Oh so we speak now?” He watched as the realization slammed her into a frenzy of blistering red cheeks and tightening of lips. With patients at a bare, War had enough of her childish behaviour and crashed her backside against the stable wall. Blue pools of flowing waves widened, while both hands gripped his upper arms for support.

“I’ve had enough of your lack of speech. You have made your point of being distasteful in the facts, let it end now.” His face so close he could watch eyes dilate with every thought that seemed to pass through her.

Siana swallowed the growing knot in her throat, she hadn’t expected him to do something this drastic never mind something at all. She also wasn’t completely annoyed with his closeness, which further irritated her for not. Fingers around his arms were gripping far tighter than Siana would of liked to admit, almost as if her body wanted to hold him to her for as long as possible.

Her stubbornness was what took hold of her better judgement, swinging her leg to catch his inner thigh had been a grave move. Before she even got enough momentum his solid frame pushes against hers, making it that much harder to breath.

The lowest of vibrating tremors pulsed from his chest right into hers. Like ripples in a pond to a rock being thrown, Siana tried to shift without success. She wasn’t trying to upset him, but her brain and heart were having a battle and neither side seemed to be gaining ground.

“Give me reason why I shouldn’t return a blow” Its undertone of exasperated rumble heated along the side of her neck, the feel of two larger caines blushing softly against her skin turned her body against herself. Knees shook so roughly she was almost pleased he’d pinned her to the wall, fear her legs would give out from underneath her.

“I...wanted space” It wasn’t a lie, but not full truth either. Siana kept her face to one side, giving War far more room to do as he liked. So many remembrances flashed like lightning through her mind, a time when they should of been put to rest. It was said from other females about the manor, that if a male was more dominant he was harder to please.

A trait that most of the woman here looked for. It rattled Siana’s brain into wondering just how many woman War had been privileged to being bothered with, while also stirring the question of how many had been placed in her shoes as of right now.

“Explain.” She had just enough willpower to stuff the light moan back down where it built from. The cause for such a sound was merely the lift of his head to her ear, nothing more than one word and she was looking rather perplexed.

She swallowed again praying her words sounded stronger than she felt.

“I don’t know how to handle it” Breath against her neck, War moved slightly back allowing his darker eyes to line in with her rattled ones.

“Handle what exactly?” Siana had hoped he’d just leave it alone, but her wishes went unwished. The anger within her from earlier that morning began to bubble back to the surface, remembering what he looked like to seeing her, and showing no expression whatsoever. It wasn’t something she enjoyed. At least if he looked disgusted she could move on, but without knowing anything Siana was left to mindless guessing.

Twisting her lips till they frowned she turned more towards him, giving the evil eyes of a scornful woman she allowed her mouth to do its lashing.

“You should've said something, or at least done something.” Grinding her teeth Siana held eye contact throughout the whole verbal spray. So desperately did she want to shove him off her, while whipping her hair to his face like so many partnered females had done to their males. But there lied the problem, he wasn’t her partner. Nothing more than his bitten, Siana felt far less worthy to be being around his night and day.

“Why?” He seemed far more angry than she thought he should be. Specially since it wasn’t him who had been seen, much to her dismay. It rivalled her temper a bit more, sending another burst of truth right at flaring nostrils.

“Because I’m not your type, and your rudeness to look upon me without even an expression of distaste is that of vexing.” Watching as his face shifted from that of a brewing woman to a confused child, Siana used her grip on him to shove off. Her body slipped past him, storming off toward a closed door to the manor.

It didn’t cross her mind to worry about his reaction, or even what would lie ahead, just that she needed space and lots of it.
