That battle did little to stop the lord's wrath. If anything he now more than ever wanted the warriors dead. They posed a very real threat to his kingdom. Many months passed, seasons changed bringing new life and much death with it. After moons of these battles War had finally had enough. To many of his fellow brethren were lost to such foolishness, such as the Lord’s.
He pulled together a few of his best fighters. A plan to sneak within the tall stone walls of the kingdom was advised. His mission was to solely get in unseen, and while the Lord slept he’d stand over his bedside. War had words for this man, words that needed an air of fright to them. And what better to frighten a man than within his own chambers where one should be safe.
The small party wasted no time, horses were saddled, packed for the long journey back to a place they once called allies.
Night fall was especially dark without the aid of torches. But War had advised against them due to wanting the element of surprise. He wanted no blood shed, just to merely make a point and be done with it all. Tired of burying comrades and helping comrades bury their loved ones, he was more so doing it for them than himself.
No offspring or beloved had been bestowed upon him, nor did he believe there ever would be. His sole mission was keeping his people safe. So far he was failing.
Thick trees gave great cover for the horses as they were tired just far enough out of sight and hearing from posted guards. War gave his final orders before the group split up, each having a mission all their own.
Scaling the rocks with ease, War moved to the window on that fateful day when the Lord broke his alliance. He was almost certain it wouldn’t be far from the Lords chambers, if not the room itself. With weapons strapped crisscross against his back, War slipped his large frame into the open window. His suspicions were right, for the most part at least.
The room was part of the Lord’s quarters, a study almost. A large door cracked a jar to his right caught his interest. Feet moved silently across the hand woven rugs, as one hand lightly touched the wooden door, pushing it open without a sound. It smelt like incense, burning War’s throat with the toxic scent. Wrinkling his nose to keep down a sneeze he pressed deeper into the chambers.
Snoring deep within his covers was the man himself. Blissfully unaware of the danger what stood at the foot of his bed. War stared at the man whose life he could take so easily. Part of him wanted to, too just be done with the whole ordeal and be rid of a man with no morals. But he knew it wouldn’t end there, something else had to happen.
He felt the need to give the Lord a chance to change, even if it was going to backfire on him. Rounding his bedside a hand reached over his shoulder delicately pulling an aex free, placing the blade to the Lord’s throat was enough to startle him awake. They blinked rapidly before understanding the realization that things were not in his favor.
Meeting War’s eyes the pair stared for a long moment. Allowing the Lord to pushing upwards into a sitting position, War kept his axe to his throat. Gulping the Lord spoke softly as to not wake his wife.
“This how you plan to kill me? Beast!” War frowned pressing the blade closer to his throat, it caused him to gasp.
“I am nor beast nor man to you, but you had better stop hunting my people or I shall return for your head.” He made the link open to his comrades, alerting them his words had been spoken to the lord and that it was time to depart.
Feet backed away while the axe remained pointed at the Lord, he was almost to the door when the Lords wife awoke sounding off a high pitched scream. War groaned. He’d should've gagged her before venturing out, but it was a bit too late for that.
More than likely the guards had heard her, and would on their way to see what all the fuss was about. Given the circumstances going out the window would be best, however a comrade had linked him for assistance.
Growling under clenched teeth, War rushed out of the lord’s room and into the main hallway. Using his keen sense in finding his comrade, he hurried to help only to stop dead in his tracks. She was small, with long dark curled hair. Eyes bluer than the deepest ocean, and skin as smooth as ivory.
Given her appearance and attire, he’d figured she was the lord’s first born. Rubbing her eyes the small girl refused to step aside. He growled at her baring his fangs to have her dart back into a room. She tilted her head while watching him, the sheer look of interest took hold of War’s soul causing him to rethink the idea of barreling through her.
The more he stood in her presents the more the idea of taking hold of her crossed his mind. Seeing as how the lord had scared countless families within his group, he began to think it only fair to take something so precious to him he’d never forgot.
In what could only be described as perfect timing, his comrades had given the all clear and were already on their way back to base. This game War a chance, and he took one hand wrapping it around the small girl and tucking her to his chest. She whined pushing the tiniest of hands against him to free herself, only to realize that was useless.
To his surprise she sank her teeth into his shoulder clamping down on what could've been nothing more than a pinch to him, however given the circumstances he was impressed she had the guts to do so. Slipping his axe back across his backside, he quickly moved towards the nearest window.
Removing her teeth just long enough to see what he was doing, the girl blinked rapidly to War’s escape route. Tightening her fingers around his thick leather armor her legs buckled around his waist, eyes clamped shut as she whined out to the idea of jumping out the window.
A guard’s yell caught War’s attention, the man’s bow taught with an arrow pointed right at them both. As the arrow was released the desperate cries of the childs mother rang out.
“No, he’s got Siana. Don’t shoot” She covered her mouth as the arrow ripped down the hall a second too late her to begging. War sneered at the man, his body crashed out the window using his one hand to hold the child to him. The air around them blew her hair straight up, spinning it about like a toy.
(Best I could do for right now on what Siana looks like.)
