DB 42

Groups were set out, scouting for any signs of activity the army should be aware of. Siana sat near her fire, turning a small rabbit she’d managed to snare overnight. There wasn't’ much meat on it, but any source of protein would do her body good. Her eyes flickered from flames to War’s backside, he had been busy all morning, speaking to Raylen and his men on what tactics should be sufficient enough.

Sensing his presents all night, was boggling Siana’s mind. He’d not left her tent till she began to stir awake, and even then she could sense his unsteady rhythm of breath. Something had engulfed his mind so deeply, that even the mere thought of leaving her side had him becoming irregular. Now all she had to do was figure out just what had him all worked up about, and to do that she’d need a better strategy than just coming out with it.

Turning her stick, she felt his eyes land on her side. It caused an involuntary shiver, making Siana feel more like some helpless tree fallen bird, than a ravious killer. War had always seemed to be able to do such odd behaviors to her own body, seemingly always doing it without his own knowledge as well. With a slow forming frown, Siana turned her rabbit once more. Never looking away from its contents, as War’s eyes were still felt upon her body.

She listened in on random conversations, while eating still undercooked meat. It always tasted better with blood still oozing from its veins. Though it made lesser warriors cringe when she began to lick her fingers, like some overly excited child to a piece of candy. Talk of plans and what nots were whispered about, nothing of much interest. At least till the last party of scouts came around a bend.

They seemed hell bent of speaking with War and Raylen only, to which they were granted without hesitation. Siana tossed the remnants of her dinners skeleton into a pair of bushes before wiping her mouth to sleeve. Unlike human ear which could only pick up a few sounds, Siana had more ability in those that weren’t meant for her ears. She pushed a loose strand of hair from her eyes, giving way to her feet slowly moving closer towards Raylens massive tent.

A few eyes sat upon her shoulders, their ever convinced looks proved they knew she could hear the unwished conversation. Twiddling a knife between skilled fingers, Siana listened without a breath of sound from herself. Even though Raylen and his men wouldn’t know she was within earshot, War would, and he’d make it a point to call her out if he so desired to make sure she’d never eavesdrop again. But as luck would have it, he never called for her.

Their conversation was some what short tern, seemed spies were among the many men within the campsite, though the warriors couldn’t pinpoint just who was to be called out. Siana’s face tightened, spies were a dangerous thing to have around an army, let alone within in its walls of trust. This sort of talk could bring a multitude of destruction within the men’s minds. For a warrior to trust another warrior, was to give blood, tears and sweat.

If the men were to think someone had betrayed them, they wouldn’t just sit back and wait for the culptip to come forth….they’d seek him out with vengious. Siana had seen it before, not within an army she’d been privileged to ride among, but still bared witness to the destruction unsteady men could preform. What scared her more than spies, was how she’d been new to the men, and all eyes would fall upon her as the likely suspect.

Though she’d never betray such behavior, these men didn’t know her well enough to make such rash decisions. They’d do unspeakable acts against her, and perhaps even War if he were to fight them….which Siana would stake her life on he would. She moved away from the tent as warriors filed out one by one, heading back towards their own camp with the vow to keep silent with the rather hard news.

She watched a flock of birds fly overhead, when War came out to stand beside her. His mere heat cascaded over her body much like a waterfall over rocks.

“You heard?” Was all he asked in a ton much softer than any could hear. She gave a soft nod, not wanting to show signs of communication. His grumble proved interesting, making Siana peak in his general direction. A face held high, with the utmost strength baring over the lands in which his eyes held taught.

“Then you need not get my rules on not what to do.” He went to leave her, but a quick snap of Siana’s hand grab his forearm. It frightened her more than she liked, but seemed to startle War further.

“I will not be held captive in a camp in which I aid.” She hissed, trying to find the strength to look him in the eyes. War’s foot slide back towards her own, concealing Siana’s outreached hand. His movements allowed her to still hold him, an act she wasn’t sure about.

“You may go where you wish, so long as you have someone to accompany you.” Siana’s nails dug a little rougher into War’s flesh.

“That isn’t formidable War.” His brow rose to her nails, yet no sign of him rejecting her touch was shown against dark eyes.

“There is no place you need be alone without….” Siana growled cutting off his words as she spoke her own.

“Am I not allowed to bathe in privacy...or have you a plan for keeping all males off my flesh when I emerge naked for eyes to feast on.” Siana figured he’d be upset with her words, she’d just never figured he’d be this upset. Blackened eyes thinned to glaring slits of onyx rays, she could feel the radiant of his body temperature rise through tiny cells in her palm.

But the sound of a pure male with dark tendencies sent tingles running for her toes. War was formidable when he became enraged, his rumbling chest shook the loose soil around her boots. Making even handful sized rocks jump away. What she expected him to do, was not what he actually did.

“You will wait for the culprit to be in hand before doing such….luxuries.” Her eyes widened. Bathing was one of the few things she thought separated her from the barbaric men she rode along side with. Without that she’d be no more fit than a common rat. It was far too much for Siana to take without giving a good fight back.

Sliding in front of him, she released his arm finding it bothered her to do so, only her fury pushed the feelings down.

“You cannot be serious. I am not a child you can order about, this so called….problem isn’t any of my doing yet you punish me as if it were.” His formidable size pushed her to take several steps backwards, the tree that forbid her movements any further wasn’t a welcoming one as War’s face lowered to meet her own.

“You will do as your told, not because you are a child. But because it is for your own safety and my reassurance you're not to be blamed for such acts against the men.” Without a chance to argue Siana watched as War walked back towards Raylens tent. Her mind past the point of understanding what the big deal was, Siana took it upon herself to crash fist to tree. She remained where she stood, eyes shut while her forehead braced against the old forest dwellers bark for a moments time.

There was no way she’d last without one more bath. She could practically smell the river calling to her aching body. Hating how he made her feel like such a child, even with his words, Siana’s lip pulled over fangs in a rage shadowed by tree limbs. Whoever this spy was, he’d better not come around her, for her temper wasn’t going to be civil in the least.

Sitting back at her camp, Siana glared into her fire feeling its heat bring out the worst in her mindset. She’d been looking forward to being clean ever since the first rays of sunlight kissed her cheeks, it was part of her route, a route she wasn’t willing to break for some useless spy who had already been found out. A mind made of stone Siana grabbed her spare clothes leaving for her spot at the river, she’d just hope War would be far too busy speaking with Raylen to even notice her departure. At least tills he got back that was...better to ask for forgiveness than permission she thought dipping out of the warriors view.

(Sorry its super late and short, had to write this on my cell phone cause we got hit with like 3 damn snow storms and power has been bitchy. I'm shoveling more snow than I'm sleeping I swear.)
