71: Unqualified

"Oh is not grudge, is loath." I corrected her, my eyes wandering around the occupied reception.

"You are so forward." She claims. Well no offense taken, I'm quite used to hearing that.

"What do you achieve by being vague?" I retorted.

"Patience."
Okay now she's sounding like a preacher, it makes me want to sleep, I couldn't suppress the yawn.

"Oh, have they told you the possibility of getting rotten is high when patience is involved?" I roll my eyes, raking my hand through my hair.

"What is that supposed to mean?" She inquiries, she looks confused. Yeah, I like to do that to people.

"It means the more you sit on a chair and deceive yourself patience is good, the further you get older without obtaining your liberties and you rotten there waiting for the impossible." I smartly told her the reality of this world.

With a gaping mouth, she started. "You are so..."

But I interjected with a full grin: "Perfect."

"I was going to say ignorant." Okay, she's forward, I see.

"Save that for your brother," I told her and dug out my phone, trying to dismiss her but she wouldn't just get it and go away. She was like a punishment this morning.

"You seem in a bad mood, I am a psychologist, let me help you." She offers, a smile tugging on her lips.

I scoffed at her and bring back my eyes to my phone screen before it downed in me she's even unqualified.

"Over my dead body, you know I have someone who used to be a psychologist but I didn't confide in them, why would I turn to Caden's sister out of all people?" I am not a fool.

"Because apparently you won't be getting any session today and you look like you need someone to talk to." Her hands wave around the surroundings as if I look hopeless.

My eyes instinctively rolled and they fell on some old man advancing towards Reagan's office.

She must have arrived while this big-mouth sister of dickhead was occupying me with her fake solution.

Without an answer or response to the woman demanding some appointment booking, I stride to the office.

Who cares? I will see Reagan when I want to.

In the office where two sets of eyes were all dart at me, the older patient had already seated his ass on the seat.

How dare him?

My both hands on his shoulders working his body up from the soft couch. I say to the confounded man: "I would peaceful claim this seat, you can wait outside."

"Excuse me." His mouth drops open.
I know, I know. But excuse my audacity.

"You heard me."

"Kaiser..." Reagan paused and decided to apologize to her patient instead, knowing I was not about to back down: "I am so sorry."

"I remember you, you're John Chandler's son." The man had said, of course, he would. Who hadn't voted for my dearest mole in the ass Dad?

"I've never heard that before," I replied in a duh manner.

"You are so disrespectful." The man spit. Please just get going.

"Also never heard that before. Now bye-bye." I was literally tired of hearing him talk, so being the kind person that I am I help him out and shut the door. "Finally." I breathed and walk over to the couch, fetching myself some water in the glass cup from the jug on the coffee table.

"What is wrong with you?" Reagan questioned.

"What is wrong me huh?" I irritatedly laugh and gulp down the entire water.

"What is wrong with me is Daisy wouldn't look at me since her father walked into their house, Riley is starting to put things together, Malik won't talk to me, and oh my parent; they are just being useless as always." I was panting by the time I had spilled out how I feel through the holiday.

Reagan's eyes had expanded to the level it's beginning to scare me.
If only I knew her next statement could be so dumb: "Daisy's father is back?" She blurted.

So all that I've listed, all she was able to grab was that wanker?

"Did you miss the part where I said she won't look at me? She's been avoiding my stare? Dodging my presence? Or you purposely decide to talk about the old man who came intruding into my home?" I sarcastically fire back at her.

"We need to talk about him to understand this situation." She insinuates.

"But I don't want to talk about him, I want him out of my head." I disagreed.

"Maybe Daisy doesn't, and if you pull such behavior in her presence I'm sure it's the reason she's avoiding you."

What is she implying? She knows nothing about Daisy.

"I don't think it is, she was all the kind of fine level she could get the next day after his return, I fingered her on the bed and she kissed me, but then everything changes all over a sudden, she won't eat her food when I am on the table, she won't speak around me, she won't even blink up. It's annoying." I huffed and swallowed the hard lump in my throat.

I was very close to getting her back at the mall but her criminal father had to go and ruin things.

"You must have done something wrong to upset her." I hate when Reagan just sits there in her formal garment and injects lies.

"I didn't do anything. Yes, may have called her job place and told them she quit but she still has her job, so that's not a reason." I shrugged.

"What if that hurts her. You crossed the line, quitting her job is not your decision to make." So they keep saying.

"Believe me I know her. I know that's not enough to hurt her, she's a strong girl." I smirk and sank onto the couch.

"What you see to be little could be something strong enough to shattered someone else."

Yes, Reagan and her wrong assumptions. Got my eyes mentally rolling but let's pretend she's right. If I'd really hurt Daisy with the quitting her job thing.

"Assuming it did, what can I do make her look at me?" I asked but instantly a solution came running in my head and my half grin turns into a full one. "I can pay her or buy her something expensive she can sell and use the money. Maybe a diamond necklace?" I explained.

Reagan's face scrunched, her eyes narrowed.
"I rather I tell you the advice. Love can not be bought so is happiness and forgiveness. Those things are earned."

"What are you suggesting?" I shook my head at her at the same time someone decided to walk into the room.

Oh is her twat boyfriend or was it, fiance?

"Hey, baby." He said and all of sudden she's smiling like a newborn baby. Oh gross and they're kissing now.

"Can you hold your dick in your pants? I am here for my session not to watch sexual activities." I grunt

"Do you mean the session you cheated your seat to? There are angry faces out there you know?" He nodded at me as if I don't know.

I like to provoke people.

"I don't give a fuck." I sneered and bring my eyes to Riley. "Now you were suggesting something?"

"You need to apologize to her, if it requires emotions, show. Prove to her she means something to you." Reagan's words stunned me, I couldn't respond.

"Or is it too much to ask? The boy has no heart." The twat throws at me. I don't see why Reagan wants someone like him.

"Can you please leave?" I retorted.

"I should be telling you that, isn't here my fiance's office?" He retaliated.

I add some water to the cup and downed the whole thing before telling the jerk: "Suit yourself, I have better things to do." and advance for the exit.

"Whoa wait, we haven't finished. I have questions about Riley and Malik." Reagan insists.

"I will come back tomorrow or later if your plan didn't work," I said and step out of the office.

"Or if you mess up the plan because my woman here doesn't...." The twat didn't finish when I shut the door and his words behind.

It's eleven already, and I have five missed calls from Riley, I wonder what she suspects again.

Rolling my eyes, I throw the phone on the passenger side and slapped the wheels.

I hate when I have to remember how shitty I am treating her, Riley deserves better than me. I cannot be able to give her what she wants.

Staring through the windshield for a long time, I don't know what to do for the day and since Daisy is in class, it means I cannot confront her yet.

So instead, I use the time to go back to school for at least one class before I get to see her afterward.

But unfortunately, I couldn't get a hold of her after the lecture, and when I attempted to call Vance, my phone battery was dead.

I was left stupidly stranded until the idea of following her to work crept in.
