You shouldn't do this

its been a quiet day for the Detroit Police Department, but the DPD is far from quiet.

Connor had just come back this morning from being stuck at Cyberlife for two weeks for repairs and updates. he's needed a replacement Thirium pump and a couple other bio components had to be replaced with it, as suddenly his Thirium pump would slow and cause Connor to pass out, briefly for a few minutes. they'd found a leak in his system, replacement parts had been ordered immediately.

thankfully, the City of Detroit paid for his replacement parts. one of the good things about the revolution, Connors injuries and such fell under the insurance of the DPD.

it was Connors first day back and while others were showing joy for Connors return, Gavin was being an ass like usual.

"I'm just saying we don't need a stupid tin-can like you hanging around." Gavin growls, following Connor to the breakroom. Connor ignores him and keeps walking. he needs a bag of Thirium and he figured he'd grab Hank a coffee. "you can't just fucking ignore me!" Gavin growls. Connor heaves a silent sigh.

"hello Detective Reed. this has been lovely, thank you for the conversation." Connor says. he grabs a bag of Thirium and makes Hanks coffee, before turning to head back to their desks.

"you stupid fucking bastard." Gavin glares. he grabs hold of Connors shoulder and yanks him around. it makes him set the items in his hands down quickly as he face Gavin.

"Detective Reed, need I remind you, Captain Fowler has already warned you what would happen if you can't keep your hands to yourself." Connor frowns. he can feel Hank watching them. he needs to de-escalate the situation.

"are you threatening me you stupid plastic tin-can mother fucker!" Gavin growls, shoving him backwards. he hears Hank get up from his chair and sigh.

"I'm not threatening you. I'm speaking facts. Captain Fowler has warned you twice about threatening the androids in the station, and thats only after the revolution. new laws have been passed Gavin. Androids are free now, you're opening the possibility of a lawsuit up to not only the DPD, but yourself as well." Connor deadpans. he has no intentions of ever following through with his threat of a lawsuit, but he's hoping to de-escalate before Hank gets himself involved.

"I'd like to see you try. I'd like to but a bullet in that stupid artificial brain of yours." Gavin growls, pulling his gun from its holster, pointing it straight at Connors forehead. Connor sighs softly.

"you really shouldn't do this." Connor says.

"why? cause it hurts your stupid little feelings?" Gavin snorts. Connor feels Hank step up behind him.

"no, Hank doesn't like it." Connor shrugs. Gavin pauses, looking at Hank. Hank growls lowly, he grabs Connor up under his arms and picks him up, moving him out of the way. Connors jaw drops, shocked, cheeks turning blue. Hank smacks the gun away and punches Gavin across the face.

"you point a gun at him again, I'll shove it so far up your ass no one will ever find it!" Hank snaps. Gavin groans, knocking his head on the desk as he falls back. he lays there and groans. Hank grabs the Thirium and coffee off the desk and turns to Connor. the RK800 is still staring off jaw dropped and face blue. "close mouth before you catch flies." Hank snorts, heading for his desk. Connors mouth snaps shut with an audible click and he heads back to his desk.

"you..." Connor manages after sitting down.

"yep." Hank snorts, putting the Thirium bag on his desk. "someone had to move you when you passed out and we were at the house alone." Hank shrugs.

"that was the most undignified thing I believe you have ever done to me." Connor huffs, turning his head to pout at him. Hank snorts and sips his coffee, turning back to his terminal. he'd do it again and again to keep Connor safe. the RK800 wasn't that heavy anyway.
