SS1 first term

DORCAS MET KHEMI ALONG the hall and smiled at her,her smile so bright that you can see her thirty two teeth

"What's up?"Khemi asked turning around to see the grinning Dorcas

"You won't believe it! Jonah agreed to date me"Dorcas says and Khemi eyes widened like a saucepan

"What the... How? How did you do it? How did you convince him?"Khemi asked and Dorcas giggles

"It wasn't much of a convincing,he wanted help and I was ready to render it in exchange of dating me"Dorcas said and Khemi rolled her eyes turning away from her friend to dissolve the anger bubbling inside her

"Did you just hear yourself Dorcas?"Khemi asked and Dorcas got confused

"You mean?"

"I mean what the hell is that? How can you date someone like that,it felt like a business deal and I know this won't end up good for you,what help does he wants anyways?"Khemi asked

"He want me to help him deliver something to someone"

"What's that?"

"I don't know"Dorcas replied and Khemi face Palmed

"This is not good at all,Dorcas look at Jonah! He is not our spec,yes he is handsome and every girl's dream boyfriend but listen to the key word 'dream' he just like a celebrity we crush on and never get to date,please let Jonah go"Khemi plead

"You don't understand"

"I understand you perfectly"Khemi said holding her friend's two hands "it's just that sometimes the things we want are not good for us"

"Okay"Dorcas replied blinking a threatening tears away

"So,forget this let's continue our bestie stuffs and in future your own man will sweep you off your feet,huh?"Khemi asked wriggling her brows and Dorcas bursted out laughing

"Ok,I will do as you say"

"I love you"Khemi said hugging her and they walk hand in hand to the class

Dorcas tried avoiding Jonah but unfortunately for her Jonah caught up with her in the school lab with no students and teachers around,she was sent to take some equipment to the lab and Jonah followed her,she turn around to see Jonah standing and her heart skipped a bit and she backed away

"Were you avoiding me?"Jonah asked stepping closer and she stepped back,her heart beat going wild

"No,why would I?"Dorcas replied sounding untrue to herself

"It seems like it,like right now"Jonah said pointing to the both of them and Dorcas saw how near he is in a short period,she stepped back and hit her back on the wall making Jonah to chuckle

"Are you scared of me?"he asked and Dorcas close her eyes,she's not scared but feeling something else, something she promised Khemi to keep at bay but right now she's slowly loosing her control,Jonah smirked knowing he had that effect on her and lean over brushing his lips with her's making her to gasp

"What's wrong with you?"Jonah asked in a teasing thick voice,he knew what he was doing

"Jonah step back"Dorcas said trying to regain her senses

"No,till you tell me what's wrong with you,why have you been avoiding me?"Jonah asked and Dorcas gulped,Jonah lean over brushing his lips with her's again breathing on her ear,Dorcas legs gave up on her and she holds Jonah's shirt to stable herself

"There's nothing wrong with me"she tried to breathe and Jonah chuckle smirking

"So you don't mind this?"Jonah asked leaning over and kissing Dorcas,Dorcas body went rigid immediately,she had never being kissed and right now being kissed by her crush,her fantasy! felt like a dream come true and slowly she opens her mouth to meet Jonah's pace before Jonah pull out

"Are you still up for the game?"Jonah asked tucking his hands on his trouser acting like they weren't kissing few seconds ago

"Y... Ye.. yes.. yes"Dorcas replied

"Ok,tonight then see you later I will text you the location we will meet"Jonah replied walking away and Dorcas slowly gain her senses

"What was that?!"she asked a rhetorical question before she slowly touch her lips giggling like a fool and shouted jumping and doing a victory dance,she fell on the floor laughing and crying at thesame time, anyone seeing her at that moment might think she had lost it

She stood up going back to her class and knew she is deeply into Jonah and she will do anything to be with him,if nothing had proves it but that moment they had in the lab proves everything

"Gideon! Gideon! I need your help"Ray said rushing over to Gideon who was busy asking a JSS3 student out,Gideon frown muttering to the girl 'we will talk later' before looking at Ray

"You're so good at spoiling things for someone,she was already falling for my lies"Gideon said after the girl had left, normally Ray would have laughed and came with a comeback but right now his face was distorted and it felt like his world is about to fall apart "what happened?"

"Jonathan! Dorcas! That plan, Jonathan is trying to find to loophole"Ray said and Gideon got confused

"What do you mean?"Gideon asked

"I mean Jonathan promised to date Dorcas if she help him out with the goods and you know the risk involved and you damn know Dorcas is crushing on Jonah! I don't know what's so good about him that all the girls in the class are ready to do anything for him,he steals everything and now the only thing I want he's stealing it too"Ray said exasperated

"Calm down Ray! Don't worry we will talk Dorcas out of it and Jonah have nothing else but to do it by himself and boom he is out of your way,best friends remember"

"I do"Ray replied rubbing his temples and Gideon patted his back and decided to meet up with Dorcas

"Hey!"Ray called Dorcas when he saw her walking alone to the class,Dorcas turned giving him that smile that makes him fall over for her again

"Raymond! Gideon!"Dorcas acknowledge them

"How are you?"Gideon asked

"I'm fine"Dorcas said gesturing to herself "what's up? The two of didn't just come to say hi"

"You're smart"Gideon said chuckling while Ray saw no reason to smile

"So?"

"I heard Jonathan asked you to help him to deliver something"Gideon said

"Yes so?"Dorcas asked

"We are his friends but I like you a lot,I will advise you not to do it and whatever promise Jonathan gave you,just know he won't push through it"Gideon said and Dorcas smiled,she was tired of explaining or trying to correct anyone

"Thanks I heard you"she replied instead

"That's all?"Ray finally talked

"Yeah,thanks for the advice and I have something to do"Dorcas said smiling sweetly at them before walking away,Ray became agitated and run away from Gideon with Gideon calling him but landed on deaf ears

"Jonathan! Jonathan!"Ray called and Jonathan turn around to see his friend and he smiled

"What's up?"Jonathan asked

"Don't give me that shit Jonathan! Why are you so hell bent on Dorcas helping you with those stuffs?"he asked angrily and Jonah chuckled

"I didn't force her,she agreed to and by tomorrow I will fulfill her promise by being her boyfriend,so what's up?"

"I don't want her doing that"Ray replied venomously

"Wait! What's your deal with Dorcas? She seems to like me a lot when I kissed her today"

"You did what?"

"Kissed her,it's not like she's the first girl in this school I'm going to kiss neither will she be the last"Jonah said and Ray got furious landing an heavy blow across Jonah's face and Gideon ran over to stop them from fighting though Jonah didn't have any thought of fighting Ray

"What the hell man?!"Jonah asked getting confused wiping away the blood from his nose

"It's okay guys,stop fighting,Dorcas already made up her mind and you can't change that so,the deal will end tonight and hopefully everything goes well"Gideon said and Ray huffed walking away

"So I have to get this to the person on a black car at eight dot?"Dorcas asked and Jonah nodded,Dorcas was clad on a black jeans and a pink t-shirt while Jonah was in all black

"Yeah,I will be looking at for you,the time is 7:48 now,so you have to go now,I will join you in less than five minutes"Jonah said and Dorcas nodded pulling Jonah for kiss which he easily granted,Dorcas pull away smiling thinking about Jonah being her boyfriend before walking away

Jonah decided to get ready and meet up with his friends and go out and look out for Dorcas,he doesn't want anything to happen to her and suddenly Ray's phone started ringing,he dropped it while excusing him and Dorcas to talk,Jonah decided to pick the call up

"Hello"he said

"The boss ask me to let you know the delivery person will be shot to dead after delivery the goods to avoid information leaking,don't worry your pay will be doubled"the voice said ending the call and Jonah's heart went wild immediately

He rushed out of the room looking for Ray and Gideon but couldn't find them and decided it's best to stop Dorcas from reaching her dead,he had no car to take him,his parents band him from using anything from the house and no taxi at the moment,he started running praying something came up to delay Dorcas

His phone started ringing and luckily enough it was Gideon

"We need to stop Dorcas right now,they are going to shoot her"Jonah shouted on the phone

"On it"Gideon replied back ending the call,Jonah in his fifteen years of life had never get so scared,he run with all his might to stop whatever is going to happen

Gideon zoom a car pass him and stopped letting him in,they drive fast and they saw Dorcas leaning on a car trying to give the person on the car what she's holding,Jonah heart beat went wild and he rushed out of the car trying to run over to Dorcas and save her but he was too late and his steps slowed when he heard a gun shot

He felt his world came to an end and he saw Dorcas body slumped on the ground and the car speeding away,he shouted running over to her and carried her immediately,Ray and Gideon tagged along

"Please keep your eyes open! I'm sorry I'm so sorry Dorcas,please don't sleep don't close your eyes"Jonah kept on chanting crying

"Call my mom"Dorcas said weakly and Ray with shaking hands took Dorcas phone calling her mom and telling her about the incident,Jonah kept on crying begging Dorcas to open her eyes and repeatedly apologize before Dorcas loose consciousness,her mother arrived sooner and she was rushed into the hospital with an heart beat of an ant,they all thought Dorcas was going to die

Jonah felt so guilty for what he did and now he understood all his parents advice,they wanted to the best for him and now he fucked that up,he knelt before Dorcas'mom crying

"Forgive me ma! It's all my fault"
