THE CLASSES WENT IN a blur and soon enough the bell was rang for short break,Joy and Bisi made their way to Anna immediately,Joy sitting on Anna's desk and Bisi sitting beside a groaning Anna

"Something definitely happened"Bisi said and Joy nodded in agreement

"Who were you assigned with?"Joy asked Anna and she look up to her friends her lips turning downward before she blinks away the threatening tears

"The dark one"Anna manage to give her friends answer turning away from them slumping into her chair

"Oh my dear please don't be embarrassed,this might be for the best"Joy said hugging Anna while Bisi patted her back

"I will be having class with him from four to six,I won't be leaving the school early"Anna said sadly and they smiled trying to cheer her up

"Hey babe! Don't let this get to you why don't we go and buy ice cream"Bisi said suggestively and Anna face lit up

"Strawberry!!"Anna said dreamingly

"Vanilla!!"Bisi said with thesame humour

"Chocolate!!"Joy added hers and they all bursted out laughing,they walk hand in hand leaving the class,they walk fast to the cafeteria so that they can get their ice-cream before the bell rings for break over

The bell was rang in no time and they return to their class with their ice-cream remainder in their hands

Mrs Oji their literature teacher entered the class and every pull out their books out giving the woman their full attention

"I heard Dami will be tutoring you?"Desmond lean over whispering in Anna's ear

"Yeah"she replied carefully because she didn't want the teacher to catch her,she's one of the toughest teacher in the school

"Oh how I wish I was the one"Desmond whispered one more time

"So do I"Anna whispered back

Anna and Desmond continue whispering to eachother ignorant of everything going on around them

Joy was sitting down on her seat lost not paying attention to what the teacher is saying,her eyes were solely on Jonah who was busy listening to what the teacher was saying not paying attention to what's happening around him,Joy sighed wishing for once Jonah will just look at her but it seems the more she prayed the more it get worst

"What's bothering you?"Ayo Joy seatmate asked Joy bringing her back to reality

"Nothing"she said swallowing diverting her attention back to the teacher

"I saw you looking at Jonah,I have caught you many times"Ayo said not ready to give up

"You do?"Joy asked tilting her head to look at Ayo

"Of course I do,I know you're crushing on him,it's quite obvious in the class and I think the only person that doesn't know about it is only Jonah"Ayo said smirking while ticking her pen in her book

Joy look at her in awe,she found her eyeglasses bigger than her eyes but kept quiet,she act like a nerd but sure knows everything that goes around

"I won't deny the fact I have something for Jonah"Joy said looking at her book like it's the most interesting thing in the world

"Even if you deny it,I already know the truth"Ayo said pushing her glasses back before wrapping her hands around herself

"Oh really, and that's not the problem Jonah doesn't give a damn about me,he doesn't even look at me for once"Joy said like she was about to cry

"Why don't you give it a shot"Ayo said shrugging

"I didn't get you"Joy said adjusting so that she can have a proper view of Ayo very well

"I mean since you like him which is quite obvious,why don't you tell him and see who knows he might feel thesame or it might help you and he will start noticing you"Ayo said shrugging while Joy eyes lit up

"Why didn't this ever cross my mind,you're fabulous Ayo"Joy said happily

"You can say that again"Ayo winked "we better keep quite before this woman send us out of her class"Ayo added while they giggled keeping quiet

The closing hour came closer than they all expected it felt like the time flied and it was time to go home

They all took their bags leaving the class except Anna

"We will see tomorrow babe"Joy and Bisi said at once hugging Anna while she waved them goodbye

"Not going home?"her twin brother asked her while she rolled her eyes still upset with him for making jest of her earlier in the day

"I have tutorial four to six"she said turning around from her brother who only smiled turning her back to face him "Jonah better leave me alone because I'm angry with you"Anna said eyeing her brother who only snickered with his dimple going deep in his cheek

"Calm down Anna it's not my fault you fail woefully and if you were nicer I would have been teaching you at home"He said smirking

"Oh so that I can boost your ego,of course not Jonah I rather fail than have your ego boosted"Anna said folding her hands

"Wish you success then because you need it"Jonah said flipping his bag to his back walking away

"You better tell Mr Yemisi to come and pick me up around six"Anna yelled after her brother who only give her the middle finger walking out of the class,she huffed sitting down on her seat

"Are you ready?"Dami asked her on his usual bored tone and she sits up immediately

She brought out an extra note from her bag while Dami draw a seat closer to hers so that they can seat beside each other

"So what are we doing?"Anna asked him raising her head to look at him clearly,he pretended he didn't hear her and continue shuffling through his bag

Rude!

Anna thought

"Can you tell me what's your main problems?"Dami asked and Anna felt like rolling her eyes or smacking him,for God's sake he had been ignoring her

"I don't really know,I study a lot but it seems I forget everything when sitting in the exam hall"Anna decided to reply shrugging,for once Dami decided to spare her a look and he nodded in understanding

"How do you study?"Dami asked

"I study all the time"Anna replied

"Ever change your method of studying?"he asked and Anna remain quiet for awhile thinking before she decided to answer him

"No,I study all the time"

"That's the problem Anna,you are meant to find the right time for you to study,get to know how to study and how to keep those stuffs in your head like you keep gossips"Dami said nonchalantly and Anna shot him a glare

"Hey!"

"Don't hey me Anna,I get to know that you ladies love to gossip a lot and I'm sure you guys get to know all the latest gossip around,bet you already gossip about our arrival before we did"Dami said and Anna swallowed she knew Dami was right and she couldn't do anything about it but she wasn't ready to give him the satisfaction he wants by agreeing to his statement

"Well that's not quite true"Anna said folding her hand and Dami broke out chuckling,Anna studied him and saw how beautiful he looks when he smiled,it fits him so perfectly and she couldn't have asked for more blessed sight like this

"Sure enough you will deny it"Dami said imitating Anna by folding his hands too

"You're rude"Anna scoffed while Dami only shook his head his face hardening once more with jaw clenched focusing on the reason he was sitting here in the first place

"So about your studying route,I planned on giving you a route you can actually try"he said and catches Anna's attention while she lean in

"And pray tell?"Anna asked while Dami sat straight forward

"I suggest you read early hours of the morning,instead of reading before going to bed because your brain is already stressed with the day events I think it's better you wake up 4:00 am in the morning and read for two hours before going on with your daily routine"Dami said and Anna remain quiet like she was thinking

"How would that help?"Anna asked while Dami shot her weird look

"Your brain is much more relaxed after sleeping and anything you read by that time might likely stay in your brain memorised"Dami said while Anna lips curved slowly into a smile

"I never thought much about that"Anna say smiling

"Obviously"Dami muttered under his breath "how do you read?"he asked once again

"I don't understand"Anna said with a confused expression

"Like do you read to understand or you cram?"Dami asked while Anna slowly stroke her hair thinking before answering

"I mostly read to pass, whenever I read it's for me to make good grades"Anna said shrugging

"Ok,how much do you love your books?"Dami asked and Anna gave him that 'really' look Dami rolled his tapping his fingers on his lap patiently

"How will I fall in love with books that gives me headache"Anna said shaking her head in a dismissive way

"You see"Dami said standing up and Anna's eyes followed his movements "you're the cause of your own problems Anna,you can't expect your books to love you back when you don't show them love,you need to give them concentration and when reading you study with free mind,you study to understand nothing else"he said taking his school bag and flinging it across his shoulder

"Where are you going?"Anna asked wondering what's going on

"That's all for today,my assignment for you is for you to learn to love your books and the reasons you have to before tomorrow's class"Dami said while Anna whined

"Make sure you do it"Dami said sternly with his face hardening and jaw clenching,he didn't mind telling Anna good bye and walk out of the class,Anna huffed kicked shouted and finally rested her head on her desk when she succeeded in hitting her leg under her table unfortunately

She gathered herself up immediately,taking her school bag and walking out of the quiet school,the school was so dead like a graveyard and Anna wondered how the school normally use to be busy during school periods

Not long enough standing outside the school premises,she spotted a familiar car stopping at her front,she hopped in not waiting for a second before heaving giving into the comfy of the car seat

"How was the tutorial?"Mr Yemisi asked

"It was different"she replied like her mind wasn't here, surely her mind was somewhere else thinking about the little time she spent with Dami and everything he said about her book and she can't lie to herself,she's getting attracted to him especially after embedding the short smile he gave her in a brain clearly memorised,a genuine smile instead of his boring or hard rock facial expressions and she can't deny it she's looking forward to more time to spend with him alone and get to know him more
