SS1 first term

DORCAS WAS GOING THROUGH her work when her friend came over to meet her,her friend sighed when she saw what she was doing and got angry

"Is it not high time you stop all this nonsense!"Khemi said making Dorcas to jump

"Keep your voice down Khemi! Do you want someone to hear what you're saying"Dorcas said

"You're just obsessed and I'm getting tired of that"Khemi replied sitting down on top of her desk

"You can't call it obsession Khemi,it's more like admiring from afar"Dorcas said smiling and her friend shake her head out of pity like her friend have lost it

"The guy doesn't even care about you"Khemi said and Dorcas kept the paper she drew Jonah in in her bag

"He will"Dorcas said with hope and Khemi rolled her eyes her hands up giving up

"Game period will be starting any moment,let's get ready"Khemi said and stood up,Dorcas imitated her too and they went to change in the school changing room into their sport wears

"All this seniors self,they forgot time shall come we will be the senior student too"Dorcas said and Khemi laughed

"Especially senior Dayo,he forgot that he will be leaving the school very soon let God just make us meet after he finishes I will assume him like I have never met him before"Khemi said

"I thought he was your crush?"Dorcas asked wriggling her brows

"Oh stop it! He is my ex crush"Khemi said huffing

"Ex crush?"Dorcas asked bursting into laughter "I have never heard of that,you're so funny Khemi"

"Hey! You have no right to make jest of me"Khemi said squeezing her eyes shot

"Oh and I have to tell Dayo he is your ex crush"Dorcas joked running away and Khemi followed her

"You better not!"Khemi shouted following her,Dorcas stopped running when she hits someone and fell but luckily for her she was caught before she could reach the ground

"Thank you"she said smiling while dusting her skirt and Khemi stopped running standing behind her

"You should be careful"Raymond warned and Dorcas giggled

Raymond was momentarily shocked,he felt like her giggle was music to his ears,he gave her ounce over and imagined why he never truly noticed her right from day one,her brown skin shining due to the reflection of the sun,her beautiful small mouth,her big eyes and her cheeky nose, Raymond take a likeness on her immediately

"Where are you going?"he decided to ask to start a discussion with her

"Game durhhh!"Dorcas said and Raymond smiled,Dorcas have always been a lively girl

"Same here"he replied

"Where are your friends? Jonathan and Gideon"Dorcas asked

"They're waiting for me outside,uhm do you mind joining us?"Ray asked scratching the back of his head

"Of course not! I will be more than grateful to"Dorcas said and Khemi gave her the knowing look

"I will just excuse you guys"Khemi said and gave Dorcas the look 'do not ask any shit' Dorcas nodded and Khemi left

Dorcas followed Ray who was busy talking trying to get Dorcas to converse with her,the world suddenly stopped momentarily for Dorcas when her eyes landed on Jonathan,her day one crush,the guy she had always had feelings for the first day she set her eyes on him and thesame guy she's afraid of going to meet and tell him how she feels

Jonathan was wearing only boxer with Gideon while they take turns jumping inside the water,Dorcas gulped and look at Ray

"What did you say?"she asked,she was lost and didn't grab of what he said

"I said you don't mind seeing us swim right?"Ray asked not aware of what happened to Dorcas some seconds ago

"Yeah I don't"Dorcas replied sitting at the edge of the swimming pool while Ray jumped inside the water

"See the skills! Jonah is so wonderful!"Dorcas said giggling and enjoying their swimming

Ray introduced Dorcas to the rest of the group and they all became friends.

Jonathan was sitting on his own going through his phone when Dorcas came to seat on his desk,he raise up his head to see her and drop his phone on his school bag

"What's up?"Jonathan asked and Dorcas smiled

"I just wanted to talk to you,you don't mind do you?"Dorcas says

"Of course I don't,so what is it?"Jonah asked

"Nothing really"Dorcas said giggling making Jonah to smile,she stood up from Jonah's desk holding Jonah's hand and dragging him out of the class

"What's up?"Jonah asked a little bit confused about her childish behaviour

"Let's play!"Dorcas said and Jonah shook his head turning back to enter the class,Dorcas stopped him

"It's game time please!"she plead and he rolled his eyes before allowing her to take his hand dragging him to the basket ball pitch

"Ya good?"Dorcas asked

"Can try"he replied holding the ball

"Game on then!"she says and he threw the ball at her and they started playing the game,Jonathan never knew Dorcas was very good with basket ball,she beats him ten to none and Dorcas fell on the floor laughing hard

"Almighty Jonathan! I never knew there's something you're not good at"Dorcas mock and Jonathan face changed into the one of anger

"I'm human you don't expect me to be able to do everything"he tries to defend himself

"Oh really? But I don't mind teaching you basket ball if you want"Dorcas says

"Ok then deal! You're lucky I always wanted to learn that game"Jonathan said huffing and Dorcas giggled

"That's not how to talk to your coach!"she says

"Oh really?"

"Yes"

"Wait till I catch you!"Jonah said and Dorcas ran away with Jonah running after her,all this while Raymond was at a side watching them with his hands clenched almost turning into white

The game continued,Dorcas and Jonah grew so close Dorcas thought it was the right opportunity to tell Jonah how she feels

"Are you joking or what?"Jonah asked trying to walk away

"I'm serious Jonathan,I have always love you"

"What the holy fuck Dorcas! We have been nothing but good friends"

"Please think about it"Dorcas said holding Jonah's hands who in turn pushed her and walk away

Three weeks later with Dorcas constantly disturbing Jonah about how she feels and Jonathan in turn mocking her feelings. Jonathan was in his room when his father barge into the room anger visible in his eyes

"Jonathan!"his dad called and he stood up immediately

"Yes"

"Who permitted you to take my newly bought car from the house and to top it all you got it scratched"his father said angrily

"Dad! It's just a scratch"

"Just a scratch! Do you know how much the car cost!"his father yelled and his mom entered the room

"Jonathan who gave you the permission to take the car from the house?"his mother asked equally angry

"Not you too mom,what's bad in using my parents possession"he said shrugging

"If I spoiled my dad's possession I wouldn't be where I am now and let me remind you, everything in this house or whatever you're using solely belongs to me and you have to take permission before taking them"his dad said

"Dad! So the things you bought for us now are your possession too?"Jonah asked in a mockery way and his dad got angry

Jonathan have been stubborn and annoying since puberty kicked in and he always succeed in pissing his father up

"Give me that phone you're holding right now and also that laptop on your desk"his father said taking it away from him "those game tools"he collected everything from him

"If it's that easy to make money,make yours and buy these stuffs!"his father said walking out

"You heard your dad!"His mother added walking away before Anna entered him room

"What did you do this time around?"she asked

"I took dad's new car out and he got angry because it got scratched"Jonah said sitting on his bed

"Which one?"Anna asked

"The red Ferrari"

"What?!"Anna yelled surprised "were you out of your mind when you did that?"

"Not you too,just get out of my room"Jonah said and Anna raise up her hand leaving his room

"You mean your dad took your phone away?"Gideon asked and Jonah nodded angrily

"He asked me to go and make my own money,I'm going to show him I will get rich at younger age before he did"Jonathan said and his friends bursted into laughter

"How do you plan on doing it?"Ray asked

"I don't know"Jonah replied and his two friends look at each other

"We can help you"Gideon said picking Jonah's interest

"How?"He asked

"Well there's this guy,he's a drug dealer and he needs someone that will help him take his goods to their buyers"Gideon said

"What do you mean?"he asked

"The guy needs young boys like us and the pay is freaky big,a million per job done"Ray said and Jonah bursted into laughter

"You want me to end up in jail?, The answer is no and no! I'm not doing"Jonah said standing up and Gideon sits him back

"You won't I promise you,I swear before eighteen we will become billionaire,think about it and it's a great opportunity to show your dad your worth"Ray said

"I'm still not interested"

"No we will give you time to think about it"Gideon said before Jonah walked away

A week later Jonah was busy thinking about what his friends said and how he will go about it,he is interested in making money at a very young age but he doesn't want to end up in prison too or bringing his family's name down

"Hi!"he heard Dorcas voice bringing him back to reality

"What's up?"he asked

"I'm fine,what's wrong with you?"Dorcas asked

"Nothing you can help me with"Jonah said trying to walk away and Dorcas hold his hand stopping him

"I can actually help you Jonah,just say it and I will help you as long as you will think about what I said"Dorcas said and Jonah smirked

"Are you sure?"he asked an idea popping inside his head

"I'm hundred percent sure,so what's wrong with you?"

"I need to deliver something to someone tomorrow's night and I'm too scared to do it"he said

"What's that?"Dorcas asked

"Non of your business"Jonathan replied "but if you will help me,I will surely date you"

"Seriously?"Dorcas asked her heart beating erratically as joy embraces her

"I promise"Jonathan says

"Then it's all good,I will help you"Dorcas said before walking away

"Are you serious?! You want to give it to Dorcas to deliver,what if something goes wrong?!"Ray yelled after Dorcas left,he was eavesdropping

"Come on dude,what might go wrong we just had a good deal"Jonathan said before walking away

"You don't have to do this Dorcas"Ray said trying to stop her

"What might go wrong,don't worry he just wanted me to deliver something to someone"

"Do you know what he wants you to deliver?"he asked

"No I don't but it doesn't matter"

"Don't be blinded by love Dorcas,you can forget about helping him and be my girlfriend,I promise to treat you better"Ray said and Dorcas chuckled

"He already promised to date me after this so don't worry"Dorcas replied walking away

"This is wrong I have to stop her before she ends up being killed"Ray said running to find Gideon who also  knew the truth behind the delivery
