JOY WASN'T ABLE TO sleep throughout the night as all she think about is the make out she had with Jonah,she didn't know what came over them and how they gone that far,Ruth was surprised to see her back to the house early and tried getting her to eat but she refused telling her she's already full

Joy went to her room changing into her night gown before laying on the bed rolling uncontrollable thinking about things that happened and could have happened,the time flew and before she knew it it was already morning,she had her bathe and got ready for church

She wore a pink short floral gown that stopped on her knees,she tied a white veil took her Bible and joined Ruth who was also ready for church,they left the house and arrived at the church, Bimbo Joy's church friend saw her and waved at her

"Joy!"she called and Joy smiled jogging over to meet her

"Good morning!"Joy greeted

"Good morning,how was your night?"Bimbo asked,she was a dark slim girl dressed in a long dark blue straight skirt and a multicoloured shirt,she hold her Bible with her left hand as she acknowledged Joy

"Was fine"Joy answered and they walk together going inside the church,the service started and they all sat listening to the pastor's preaching and sang praise and worship,the service came to an end and Joy wanted to go and find Ruth

"It was nice meeting you today again Bimbo"Joy said and Bimbo smiled"I will be going after my mom see you next Sunday"

"You're welcome,I'm allowed to visit right?"Bimbo asked and Joy chuckled

"Of course,you're welcomed anytime"Joy said

"I will visit you one of these days"Bimbo said and Joy nodded,she left her going around to look for her Nana when one of her church member stopped her

"Joy!"The young man called

"My lord!"Joy exclaimed "Peter! When did you come back?"Joy asked and Peter chuckled

"This week,I lost your contact I would have contacted you so I didn't mind much because I'm sure I will see you in church"Peter said

"So nice to have you back,how's school?"Joy asked

"I'm so tired of school!"Peter exclaimed and Joy laughed,they exchanged contact promising eachother to keep in touch

Peter is a friend to Joy and been her church guidance right from when she was little,she sees Peter like an elder brother,Peter is studying theatre and performing arts in Obafemi Awolowo university and just came back from school

Joy went back home happily that she saw her friend and guidance again after few months,Peter is eighteen years and currently in two hundred level,he called Joy as soon as she reached home and she was happy to talk with him

The day went faster than they all expected, morning came again and Joy went to have her bathe after her morning prayer,she wore her uniform and took her stuff going to the kitchen,she met the kitchen empty and was surprised not to see Ruth busy in the kitchen,she went to her room and met her shaking

"Nana what's wrong with you?"she asked and kneel beside her immediately

"I'm feeling cold,I'm sorry I can't prepare you breakfast today"Ruth replied

"Forget about breakfast,you should head to the hospital"Joy said

"I will be fine just go to school,I will be fine when you're back"Joy insisted for awhile but Ruth shoo her away letting her know she's fine

Joy went to the fridge and took an apple leaving the house,her driver took her to school and her heart skipped beating erratically as she thinks about how she's going to face Jonah after what happened on Saturday,she met Bisi talking with Anna and she smiled joining them

"Morning babes!"she greeted and they turn giving her a hug

"So sad you left early yesterday,you missed the T and D"Bisi said at once looking jolly while Joy snickered

"Not bad I won't miss it next time"she said and had a little chitchat with her friends before going to her seat,Joy was afraid of logging into her social media accounts because of her bully but she decided to do it since she knows her mates will post pictures they took on the house party,she went to her Facebook account first and scroll through a lot of pictures smiling,some pictures look funny and she laughed thinking about how crazy her mates can be

Her heart suddenly skipped as she look at one picture,a picture of Jonah kissing Bisi her best friend,her eyes got blurry as tears threaten to fall,she stood from her seat and rushed into the ladies restroom,she was happy non of her friends followed her they were busy talking with other mates to notice her absence,she put her hand on the bathroom zinc as tears fell freely from her eyes,she suddenly wiped it off thinking that the kissing might be out of the T and D they did, nothing more nothing less and she's not ready to make her self sad

She left the bathroom closing the bathroom door behind her when she met with the last person she wants to see this morning before class starts

"We need to talk"Jonah said and she nodded swallowing,she knew he wanted to talk about the kiss that happened and followed him meekly,he led them to the back of the old school lab they once talked where he agreed on helping her,they stood silent seeing eachother non of them ready to talk but Joy felt the need to break the silence they can't keep on standing look at eachother like aliens

"What do you wanna say?"Joy asked encouraging Jonah to talk,she gave him a small smile and Jonah cracked his throat before talking

"I'm sorry about what happened on Saturday,it was bad of me to kiss you like that"Jonah said and Joy smiled

"It's okay"

"It's not okay Joy,I shouldn't have kissed you just like that,it's the alcohol that I took that triggered it I'm sorry,we should avoid something like that from happening in future"Jonah said and Joy heart broke getting angry

"You know we did more than kissing that day and you can't tell me you're not somber enough to know what you're doing,you don't even look tipsy at all and if not that Anna stopped us you would have come here apologizing for sleeping with me right?!"Joy said angrily and Jonah got tongue tied

"I'm really sorry Joy,I shouldn't have kissed you"Jonah repeated

"It's fine"Joy said trying to dispose Jonah as soon as possible,Jonah left and she fell down crying hard,she didn't believe the person she lost her first kiss to will regret kissing her and right now she regret everything that happened that Saturday she felt cheap and easy,she felt used

The closing hour came sooner than expected and Joy left the school without telling her friends goodbye,she wasn't feeling that great and wanted to be home as soon as possible,she went straight to her room and had a shower changing her uniform to a white singlet and a wash blue jeans bum short,she came down to the kitchen and didn't see Ruth she decided to check her room and met her on her bed shaking seriously

"Nana! I thought you said you're okay"Joy said and kneel beside her Nana immediately checking her temperature,she was burning and she needed to be rushed to the hospital,Joy run out of the room and went to meet the gateman asking for his help when a knock suddenly came,the gate man opened the gate revealing Peter who smiled down at Joy

"What's wrong?"Peter asked as soon as he saw the look on Joy's face

"My mom is sick"she said and Peter followed her inside,the young man carried Ruth in a bridal style and they rushed to the car,the driver drove them out of the house to the hospital and Ruth was taking to the emergency ward

"Thanks really I appreciate"Joy told Peter who only smiled

"It's nothing,are you spending the night with her?"Peter asked and Joy nodded yes

"You have to get something else to wear and prepare food for your mom so that when she wakes she can eat if she feels hungry"Peter suggested and Joy nodded afterall she's only wearing a singlet and a bum short

"Thanks anyways but I'm not that really good in the kitchen,mom never let me know how to do a thing"she said and chuckled thinking about her Nana who never let her do a thing and missed her,she prayed she gets better soon because life will be hard without her in it

"Thank God you have a great cook like me"Peter winked and Joy snickered,she remembered Peter taking cooking classes immediately he finished from secondary school before gaining admission into the university

The driver drove them back to the house and they entered inside the sitting room,Peter pull Joy into a hug unexpectedly and Joy smiled she needed the hug because today have been nothing but a bad day for her,Peter kissed her forehead and she muttered 'thank you' before she noticed there's another figure in the sitting room

She turned to meet Jonah standing in the sitting room glaring at Peter and she wondered how he opened the door without her been aware of it

"I can see you're so busy with him you don't know I was knocking"Jonah said angrily and Joy rolled her eyes

"Jonah what are you doing in my house?"she asked and Jonah chuckled dryly

"So you now ask what I'm doing in your house?"Jonah asked and Joy stared at him in bewilderment,she don't understand the bipolar nature of Jonah

"What do you want?"Joy asked as anger started rising in her again,she can't still believe how cheap she was to fall for Jonah's prey

"I came for a jog and I can see you're busy"Jonah said

"I'm not jogging with you anymore,I'm okay without a jog and please excuse me I got something to do"Joy said facing Peter and led him to the kitchen

"Your boyfriend?"Peter asked

"A classmate"Joy replied and brought out some things Peter will need before stepping out of the kitchen to go and change her wear,she was surprised to have Jonah still standing at the spot she left him

She ignored him and went to her room but Jonah followed stopping her from locking the door out on him

"What's your problem Jonah?!"Joy asked exasperated

"Is he your boyfriend? And look at what you're wearing standing with him,I thought you are disciplined but you're just cheap like other girls"Jonah said and Joy glared at him looking furious,she would have slapped him but she's not the type to retort violently

"Jonah. Get. The. Fuck. Out. Of. My. Room!"Joy said angrily with her eyes turning red due to tears

"Joy!"Jonah called softly realising what he had said

"Now!!!"Joy roared and Jonah got out of her room,she fell on the floor crying her eyes out while she vowed to avoid Jonah at all cost and also killing this damn stupid feelings she has for him
