It's night time and Christa and John are looking through the folders of crimes that John was stacked so Christa decided to help him, and she wants to get to know him more. Plus she was moved from her cubicle to his so they can work together, so pretty much there's two computers so they won't have to worry about having one computer.

John was about to sip his coffee, but realized that his mug is empty, he got up and asked, "Anyone for coffee?" But no one answered him, so he asked his partner. "Want coffee, Christa?" "Sure, mind if I tag along?" She said, "Okay." He said and the two detectives walked to get coffee.

As they approach pass the stairs, they saw a rookie police officer, she is Officer Jenny Taylor. "Hey." "Hey." John said as Christa look at the two, 'Who the hell is she?' Christa thought to herself as she began to feel a little jealous.

"What you got there?" He asked, "Oh, just came up from county morgue from Burke's bust." Jenny said as she show him and Christa the evidence. "Easy to miss, I guess. Looks like a real credit card, right?" "Flash drive?" John said as he saw that it really wasn't a credit card. "Yeah." "Burke? Hey, wasn't he your ex-partner, John?" Christa asked.

"Yeah. He was." He said, "Who's this?" Jenny asked, "Oh. This is Detective Johnson, she's my new partner." John introduce Christa to Jenny. "Nice to meet you." Christa said as she held out her hand, "Nice to meet you too." Jenny said as she shook her hand, "Anyway, I got to get it in to evidence. See ya." She said as walked away.

"Hey John, you go ahead, I'll meet you at our desk." Christa said, "You sure?" John asked, "Yeah. You can pick up our coffee. I just need to check something out real quick." Christa said. John nodded, "What kind of coffee you want?" He asked, "French Vanilla coffee." She said, "Got it." He said and walked away as Christa followed Jenny.

John went back to his cubicle and sip his coffee and he saved the other for his partner, then he began to think about Christa. He'll admit, Christa's beautiful and can tell that she's not a damsel in distress but a strong chick and he began to have feelings for her, but something tells him that something happened to her that makes it hard for her to trust that men will date her, but instead she wants to be friends, and he's going find out what.

Christa approched the evidence lock-up window and said, "I need to sign out some evidence that was brought down here." "Mmm. Well, you know the drill." The man said as he held out a clipboard for her to sign it. "I do." Christa said as she sign her name. The man took the clipboard and went to get the flash drive evidence.

He came back and gave it to her, she look at the card to make sure it's the same one Jenny show her and John and it was. "Thanks." She said and walked to the women's locker room.

John was looking at something on Christa's family, he was trying to find out what happened. When he saw Christa coming, he quickly press the 'Minimize' on the top right corner to hide it so Christa doesn't see what he was doing.

"Hey. Here's your coffee." John said as Christa sat down next to him, "Thanks." She said as she grab her coffee and sip it. "So, where did you go?" John asked. Christa held out the credit card/flash drive and said, "Just went to get this."

Christa took the card out of the bag, she flip the little piece of the card and plug it to the small box and wait for it to load on her computer. "Is it something to do with the crime of George Freemont?" He asked, "Yep. And something tells me that your ex-partner has something to do with him."

Once it finished loading, she went to the files and saw some crime pictures with Burke. "Um, John? You might want to see this." Christa said as John look at her computer to see, there were pictures of Burke; selling drugs, getting money, Christa even plays a little auto voice from the file to hear.

"George. This is my operation now." "Your operation?" "Precisely. I supply the narcotics... you move them. I take the profits and you get whatever cut I deem you're worth."

"That sick bastard." Christa said as she unplug the card, both Christa and John stood up and John asked Jenny, "Taylor, you know where Captain Matthews is?" "She was in her office 20 minutes ago." "Come on, Shaw." Christa said and the two went to the elevator.

John press a button and they wait for the elevator doors to open. Then three men came and the two saw Burke and two other men with him. "Going our way?" "Coffee run. Machine's out in the bullpen." "'Cause all you desk jockeys do is drink it all day." One man said, causing the men to chuckle.

"And who's this beautiful thing?" The second man said as Christa raise an eyebrow at him, "Her? That's Detective Christa Johnson. She's my new partner." John said, "Just met her today." "Well, she sure is good lookin'." Burke said as he look at Christa up and down as she rolled her eyes in disgusted.

John began to feel a little jealous when Burke look at Christa, "Thought you boys left for the day." John said, "Something came up." Burke said as the elevator doors open. "After you." Burke said, John and Christa went in as the boys went in too.

John push the 2nd floor button and the other man push the 3rd floor button, his arm bumped into Christa's, causing her to drop the card. "I got it." He said, picking up the card for her, "You know, these things are dangerous. Especially where my wife is concerned." He said as he gave it back to her. "Thanks." Christa said, Burke's phone rang as the elevator doors open and John said, "Have a good one." And he and Christa walked away.

"I already don't like Burke and I don't like him even more." Christa said as she felt a chill running up her spine as they walked up the stairs. Shaw opened the door for her and he followed her as the door closed behind him.

The two walked to Captain Matthews' office, but she wasn't in there, "Damn it!" Christa said as she and John walked away, "Now what do we do?" She asked, "Don't worry, I'm sure we'll think of something." Shaw reassured his partner.

Suddenly the fire alarm went off as it said, "Fire alarm. Please evacuate the building." The two partners look at each other and quickly ran to the stair case, "Great. Looks like exposing Burke is goin' have to wait." Christa said as the two ran down the stairs.

Shaw then grab Christa and cover her as a gun shot missed them, but hit the stairs. They quickly ran up the stairs to the second floor, they quickly went in and John use a chair to block the door handle so the shooter doesn't go after them.

They went up against a wall and pull out stockpile bullets and John said, "I got 12 rounds on mine." "Same here. Let's go." Christa said as they put the stocks back on and quickly ran so they can get out.

They went into a precinct and John took out his phone and called Captain Matthews, "This is Matthews." "Matthews, it's Shaw." "Is everything all right?" "No, Johnson and I are in trouble." "Where are you two?" "We're in the precinct."

The two then heard a bang sound and rustling coming from outside the door. "Shaw, what's going on?" Matthews asked from the other end, the two took out their guns as John hang up the call. "Come on, this way." John said as he opened the door and he and Christa went in as John close the door.

The two ran up the stairs, they walked cautionly as they held out their guns in cause if someone's going to attack them. They saw Meeks with a gun and saw, "Shaw? Johnson?" John and Christa point the guns at Meeks from behind his head and Christa said, "Drop it." "Shit." Meeks said as he drop the gun.

"Let him go." They saw Burke and Shaw quickly grab Meeks while pointing the gun at him behind his head as Johnson quickly pointed the gun at Burke. "Lower the guns." "Yeah, we'd rather not." John said, "I'm a lot of things. But I'm not a cop killer." "You're a lot of things, all right." Christa said as she glare darkly at him, "We know all about it, Burke. I may not know what happen between you and Shaw when you two were partners, but I did know that there's something was up with you. And they call Shaw crazy? You're nothing more but a sick-twisted lying piece of shit." Christa said venomous.

"Just like Shaw; you always had to do things the hard way. I'm goin' give you this one chance for old times' sake, Shaw, to just lay down the drive and walk away with your girlfriend."

"Burke, will you just shoot this asshole and bitch?" "Shut up, Meeks. What do you say, Shaw?" "Press the button." Johnson orders Meeks, "You heard the lady." Shaw said, Meeks press the elevator button to open.

"Don't be stupid." Burke said, "We're taking you down, Burke." "We're goin' expose you like the scumbag that you really are." Johnson said, "I don't think so. See, I've got an army of loyal cops. And you two may have each other now that your partners. But my aim..." Burke took out his gun and said, "I don't miss."

Christa's eyes widen and she quickly shot a fire extinguisher to make steams, catching Burke off guard. "Go! Go! Go!" Christa yelled as the elevator doors openes and they quickly went in as Burke shoots but misses them.

The elevator door closed and they pointed the guns at Meeks as Christa said, "Be grateful that you didn't get shot." "So, what are we goin' do with him?" John asked, "I think I know." Christa said as she puts away her gun away. She walk up to Meeks and karate chop him in the throat, knocking him out.

Shaw was surprised, 'Wow..... now that's what I call a knock out......... and I think I'm in love with her more and more.' He thought.

"Uhhhh, what did you do?" He asked as he put away his gun, "Relax. I just knocked him out, it should put him down for a while."

Then the elevator stopped moving and powers down, "What was that?" Christa asked, Shaw got up and press the elevator door button, but it won't open. "Shit. They must of power out the elevator." "Well that's just super! Now how are we going to get out of here?" Christa said annoyed.

She then look up and then she smirked as she was thinking an idea, she said to get Shaw's attention, "Hey Shaw. Give me a boost." Shaw then carried her on his shoulders, trying to hide his blush and Christa use her switchblade to open the hatch of the elevator and it opened.

She puts away her blade, climb out and said, "Alright Shaw. Your turn." She said as she held out her hands to help Shaw out of the elevator, he grab her hands and he climb up as she pulls him up.

After a little struggle, she was able to pull him out, "(pants) No offense.... (pants) but you need to lose weight." Christa said, "Hey, you were able to pull me up, right?" Shaw said, "Okay look, we'll talk about weights later. Come on." Christa said as she began to climb, "Where are we goin'?" Shaw asked as he climbs up after her, "Just trust me." Christa said as they continue to climb.
