After the most tiring night I woke up all fresh the next morning. I picked up my phone but it was switched off so I put it on charge and did my routine of brushing and bathing. I've taken a leave for today because I was too tired.

After freshening up, I headed downstairs. I realised mom and dad weren't home, they have gone to meet an aunt of mine who lives nearby. That's leaves me alone with Aryan.

Mom had already cooked breakfast for us. Surprisingly, Aryan wasn't here yet, he's still sleeping I guess. I went to his room to wake him up.

Upon reaching his room I found he's awake and is grinning looking at something on his phone.

"Why're you still on your bed?" I asked.

"Reading articles" he replied, his eyes still fixed on the mobile screen.

"What's so interesting on your phone that you can't even look up and answer?" I asked.

"Dude, your boyfriend! He's so cool" he laughed looking at me.

"What do you mean?" I asked in confusion.

"You don't know yet?" he asked with wide eyes.

"No, what is it?"

"Just look at this" he replied handing me his phone.

The moment I saw what it is, my eyes popped out.

"What the-?" I couldn't finish the sentence.

It was a picture of me and Shubman from last night that Manjot clicked when we're playing around.

He posted this picture on Instagram? Why? The entire world now knows about us!

But why did he do this without asking me? I checked the time of the post which says he posted it last night itself.

I rushed to my phone and switched it on. As expected, it's flooded with text messages, mails, missed calls. But what surprised me was there wasn't any call from Shubman.

I decided to call him. I was dialling his number when the doorbell rang. Must be my parents.

I went downstairs to find it wasn't my parents but actually Shubman who came to meet us.

"Good morning" he wished me with a smile.

"Good morning Shubman" I replied. He looks so normal.

I made him sit on the sofa and sat beside him.

"What was that Shubman?" I finally asked.

"What was what?" he asked.

"You know what I'm talking about" I replied.

"Oh that" he mumbled. "Look we anyway have to reveal it someday. So it's better sooner than later. We don't have to hide anymore, and we're getting engaged soon so it's better if we make this public" he explained.

"But I'm not used to the extra attention" I said.

"You'll get habitual to it" he replied.

"By the way, why such caption?" I asked him with a smirk.

"Well I don't want another headline which says 'Shubman Gill forcefully marring a girl he doesn't love' you know" he laughs.

"Yeah right" I agreed.

The doorbell rang. I opened the door to reveal mom and dad behind it.

"Anya the news-" mom stopped on seeing Shubman behind me.

"Hello aunty" Shubman smiled at her.

"Why didn't you tell us you're coming Shubman? We would have stayed had we known" dad said.

"I'm sorry I think I should've informed" he said lowly.

"No no.. don't say sorry. Why don't you join us for lunch today?" mom insisted.

"I thought I'll take Anya for brunch today" he said looking at me. I stared him raising an eyebrow.

"Something special?" I asked.

"No.. thought we can spend some time together" he replied.

I had a genuine smile on my face hearing that.

"Sure" I replied smiling and he smiled back.

It was 11am right now so I hurried upstairs to get ready. I wore a floral one piece and left my hairs open.

"Let's go" I said after going downstairs. We left after this.

We went to restaurant nearby where I haven't been before.

"No hood today?" I asked raising an eyebrow as Shubman openly stepped out of the car.

"We don't have to hide anymore" he replied. Right. The entire world knows about us now.

We went inside the restaurant and it wasn't really crowdy. There were very few people in the restaurant.

"What will you eat?" Shubman asked me.

"Um.. pasta" I replied after scrutinizing the menu.

Shubman called the waiter and gave the order. We were having some random conversation but I could notice the restaurant staff and very few customers gazing at us constantly which made me feel uncomfortable.

"It was my engagement but you stole the spotlight" Abhay said putting the newspaper on our table. Where did he come from?

"Good morning Abhay" Shubman laughed.

"Why didn't you tell me?" Abhay asked taking a seat beside Shubman. Riya came with him too and she took a seat beside me.

"I didn't know you guys are coming" I said.

"I'm sorry I forgot to tell you" Shubman apologised.

"It's okay" I replied.

"People are going crazy over your post" Riya laughed.

"Seriously" Abhay agreed.

"So guys! When're you two getting engaged?" Riya asked in an excited state.

"Don't know. We haven't decided yet" Shubman said shrugging.

"It's too early to decide" I said.

"You guys anyway don't have much time to decide. You know what I mean" Abhay said in low voice. He was referring to Dad.

"I know" I replied slowly.

"How about next month?" Shubman suggested.

"Can't believe you're suggesting a date" Riya laughed.

"Why?" Shubman asked in confusion.

"Because you didn't want to marry until few months ago" she explained.

"Yeah right" Shubman laughed too.

"Is next month okay for you Anya?" Abhay asked me.

"I need to talk to my parents" I told. I'm not deciding anything without their consent.

"No problem. We can start the arrangements according to that" Riya said.

"Yeah sure" I replied.

"Shopping again!" Riya squealed.

"Headache for me" Abhay mumbled.

"What did you say?" Riya asked.

"Uh.. nothing babe" he smiled awkwardly which made me laugh.

"You better don't" she warned him.

"Aur khao shaadi ka ladoo" Shubman whisper laughed to Abhay and he rolled his eyes.

Soon the waiter arrived with our orders and we had our food. It was delicious. Shubman always brings me to good restaurants, his choices are so good.

"See you guys then" Riya said after leaving the restaurant.

"Yeah, bye" Shubman replied.

Abhay and Riya went their way after this and Shubman dropped me home.
