(Serena)

I wake up the next morning, I look out my window it is a beautiful morning the sun is shinning in my window. "SERENA YOU ARE GOING TO BE LATE FOR SCHOOL." My Mom yells from downstairs.

I pick up my phone it is 7:45am I really overslept. It is Friday that is why I slept in, I better get moving. I quickly get dressed, I put on my black shirt and my grey pants and run downstairs. "Hi Mom, I really have to go." I pick up a piece of toast. "Hi Serena." My Mom says worried.
"Mom I have a friend coming over tonight to help me work on a project." I reply.

"Is it a boy?" She giggles.

"Mom, oh shut up." I say trying to run past her.

"My daughter has a crush on someone." She laughs.

"Bye Mom, I am going to school." I run out the door to the bus. My Mom can be so annoying sometimes. Me have a crush please, not going to happen. I get on the bus and sit down at the back. The next stop the bus makes, I see Darrin coming, I put my headphones in my ears and try to ignore him. But He sits down beside me anyways and bushes my hand. I blush the minute I feel it.

"Hi Serena, how's it going?" He asks.

"Great, thanks." I lie somewhat and keep my headphones in. He moves a strand of hair out of my eyes. Omg what is he doing. I take my headphone out.

"Darrin what are you doing? I shout.

"U-Um I was." He blushes so red and hides his face.

"Ok well don't do it again." I try to be gentle.

"Sorry Miss Yvonne." He purrs his lips.

"Its ok." I say trying to change the subject.

"I know you liked it." He says grinning evilly.

"I did not." I say denying it.

"You did too." He says right back.

This is going to be a long day. I run out of the bus when we get to school. But on the way to class I bump into my only best friend Lillie.

"Hi Serena, what is the rush?" Lillie asks.

"Well um, I was rushing off from someone." I stammer. Darrin walks up as I am talking to Lillie.

"From me?" He asks.

"Who is this cute boy Serena? You did not tell me about." She starts to get mad.

"Um-I-I." I cant get the words out.

"My name is Darrin, nice to meet you Lillie." They shake hands.

"I am Lillie, nice to meet you." She smiles at him. He smiles back.

"Lets go Serena." Lillie pulls me away.

"But I was not finished talking to Darrin." I pout.

"Serena save it, unless you have a crush on him." Lillie says as she drags me to class.

"I-I." I try to take my hand away from her in anguish.

"You what, you have a crush on Darrin" She giggles.

"I don't, that's not funny." My face starts to go red, I look away.

"But it is, my best friend has a crush." She laughs again.

"Dont you dare tell him Lillie." I shake my hand off hers. I look at her with eyes that could kill, the problem with being a honey blonde, I get mad pretty easily.

"Fine, but if you need boy help just text me." Lillie replies.

"Thanks Lillie your the best, later. I say.

"Bye Serena. She smirks as she walks away.

I have known Lillie since I was 9, she knows me pretty well. She has white blonde hair, very pretty and has green eyes. All the boy's since grade 9, have asked her on a date and she refuses most of them. So she is a boy magnet, but it has not rubbed off on me.

Time-skip

I make it to the last class of the school day french. I sit down in my usual spot.

"Hey is that the stupid girl  Yvonne." Paul says out of the corner of the room. I really hate that guy he is one of the bullies of the school.

"Yeah her." I look and she Jessica walking up to me, oh no not her she is the other bully of the school. She walks up to me and pushes my books off my desk.

"Hey what was that for." I say trying not to cry.

"What, your boyfriend, Darrin was it. Is going to save you, so pathetic." She sits down in her seat.

"HE'S NOT." I yell.

"Then you wont mind if I hurt him." She glares at me.

The teacher and Darrin walks in. The whole class stops talking. Jessica is still glaring at me. I start picking up my books. Darrin walks up to me.

"You ok Serena, what happened?" He asks concerned.

"Jessica happened." I whisper.

"Tell me about it later." He whispers back smiling at me as he goes and sits down in his seat.

Time-skip

The bells rings, that was a boring day. I look over and see Darrin sleeping at his desk. He is coming to work on the project tonight at my house great. Not. I walk over to Darrin, I nudge him with my arm. "Darrin class is over sleepy head."

He jumps right up. "I am working on the project with you tonight, I forgot."

I face-plant. This guy is so annoying. "Lets go." I drag him out of the classroom by the hand.

"I just have to go to my locker, lets meet at the entrance to the school." He asks dragging his feet.

"Ok Darrin." I say worried about the bullies. He walks away the minute he does, I hear someone I don't want to see.

"Hi Serena, all alone with your boyfriend not here to protect you." Jessica walks up to me. She grabs my hair and shoves me into the locker.

"What was that for." I say trying to get free of her grip. She kicks me in the leg.

"HELP DARRIN." I scream.

"Darrin is not going to want you when you are all beat up and bruised." I whimper as I see her fist coming to my face. Just in time Darrin appears.

"TAKE YOUR HANDS OFF HER." He yells then sucker punches Jessica in the face. Jessica falls to the floor and lets go of me. Darrin pulls me up with my hand.

"Darrin my leg hurts." I scream in pain.

"Did that bitch touch you, I will kill her." He yells getting really mad. He looks at Jessica and she runs away fearing for her life.

"Darrin its ok, lets go to my house." I try to say. We make it to my house, Darrin is holding me to help me walk. He makes it to my door and knocks on the door. My Mom opens the door.

"What happened to Serena." She screams.

"Hi Miss, I am Darrin, I helped her come home." He replies.

"You can call me Grace, now lets get Serena inside." She says closing the door.

"Serena he is a keeper." My Mom whispers in my ear. I say nothing I just wince at the thought of me and Darrin together.

"Lets put her down on the couch, for we can fix her up." She says worried. Darrin helps me over to the couch and I sit down.

"Serena I am going to have to take your socks off to look at your leg." He says with his blue eyes looking very worried.

"O-Ok." I stutter as I look at him, his beautiful eyes and caring personality. I start to blush as he takes my sock off. He starts to look at my leg for any damage. He starts rubbing my leg which feels really good. No boy has ever done this for me.

"Serena you are going to be ok, it will just be a bruise. But lets not work on homework tonight. Do you want to watch a movie with me?" He says well still looking at Serena's leg.

"Sure, but can you stop staring at my leg, it's kind of freaky." He blushes so red.

"I-I u-um sorry." He starts to stutter and freak out. I grab his hand and pull him on the couch beside me. I intertwine my fingers with him. I blush as I squeeze his hand.

"Serena can you let go of my hand?" He asks looking worried.

"No, you like it anyways, I can see it in your eyes." She said sassy.

"Do you guys need anything? I am going to start dinner." My Mom interrupts us.

"No we are good." We both holler.

"Darrin is staying for dinner." My Mom giggles back.

"What is with her?" Darrin questions.

"She thinks I have a-a c-crush on you." Oh no why did I say that.
