Upon your entrance into the territory of the dogs, it will be no surprise that they will deny your request. You can talk to as many people as you would like, but it won't change anything.

(Note: All fights in Marleybone City will be rather weak. So you don't need a special strategy.)

Ultimately, you'll make a captain's decision to hear out some rumors and gain a reputation that would get you to the book. Particularly, the rumor about a local gang that's been up to something in the city. You'll be running around, searching for the O'leary Gang before you discover that they are targeting the nearby prison.

Upon arriving at Scotland Yard, you'll discover that the break-in had already begun and their target had escaped. Race through the streets and dodge the swarm of O'leary and Undead before you see the culprit and escaped prisoner. Malistaire and Meowiarty. Suddenly, the book is no longer safe.

Despite this, the museum is certain of their system. So help round up a few criminals and discover the full plan.

The museum won't hear you out about Malistaire until you hear that Big Ben was on lockdown. Bonnie will make a smart remark before it's time to charge up the clocktower.

Disable the Clockworks on the two sides before you charge up the large tower, where Malistaire will vanish with the book (if you snagged Duncan before Krok, he will have a special line). You will lock into battle with Meowiarty and the Wraith the Death Master left. Duncan can clear the battle in two turns if your team is set up. If not, you may need 2 extra turns. (This is Marleybone, you're fine).

Carry the cat to the police before you are thanked for your help. They will be disappointed in losing the book, but they won't pin that on you since you tried to warn them and they didn't listen. (if you don't walk away, you can actually hear them blaming you)

Head back to the School and let the Headmasters know. Ambrose will need time, but Avery will let you know that he wants to see you in the morning.
